Alexa Havins has made the role of General Hospital’s Lulu her own after debuting as a recast in November 2024. After the character was comatose for four years, Havins brought to the part an energy and verve that revitalized Lulu, gearing her up for more adventures to come. And she might end up bringing something else to the show: her real-life husband, Justin Bruening.

Tad Was His Dad

When Havins and Bruening worked together on All My Children, as Babe Chandler and Jamie Martin, respectively, the two fell in love and eventually tied the knot. Bruening recently sat down with Swoon to discuss his thoughts on possibly joining his wife on Gh, although he’s got his plate full with Netflix’s Sweet Magnolias.

Bruening explained that he would enjoy appearing on-screen with his beautiful bride. “It’d be fun. I love working with my wife, so it’d be fun to pop on.

Alexa Havins was thrust into a majorly dramatic storyline on General Hospital when she took on the role of Lulu Spencer. Trying to get her life back together after emerging from a years-long coma has been daunting for Lulu. But Havins has her real life all sorted out. 2025 is really shaping up to be a wonderful year full of great releases, and Netflix has confirmed two big shows we've been eagerly waiting for, coming in the new year! Get ready for You season 5 and Sweet Magnolias season 4.

Let's start with the fifth and final season of You starring Penn Badgley. Unfortunately the streamer still hasn't provided an official release date. Even though the new season is later than expected, you would think a premiere date would be given by now. I mean no offense Netflix, but we already expected it to come in 2025 since it's done filming and wasn't released in 2024 for whatever reason.

Details are still scarce, but we do have a short synopsis and two new intriguing posters that have puzzles for us to decipher. The first one is pretty easy, with the letters spelling out "goodbye you." But the second one is a bit more tricky.

The actor endeared her mother after reading several articles about him where “He just seems so sweet.” She thought her daughter should date him, but Havins said she literally wasn’t dating him. But in a twist of fate, she eventually ended up marrying him.

Alexa Havins played Babe Carey Chandler on All My Children from 2003–2007. The actress earned a Daytime Emmy in the Outstanding Younger Actress category in 2005. Babe had many romantic entanglements on the show but fans loved her and Jr Chandler together.

Coincidentally, General Hospital vet Jacob Young played Jr Chandler on the AMC opposite Alexa Havins. Actress Emme Rylan previously played Lulu but revealed in August that she wasn’t asked back and the show was recasting.

After nearly a month of speculation, General Hospital viewers finally know who will play Lulu Spencer.

Emme Rylan spoke about not being asked to return after her 2020 departure. Lulu was in a coma due to an injury when The Floating Rib exploded.

Several names were tossed around on Soap Twitter, but TVLine officially confirmed it.

Former All My Children fan favorite Alexa Havins will be the new Lulu on General Hospital.

After an exhaustive casting search, it looks like “General Hospital” has finally found its new Lulu Spencer.

Daytime Confidential reports that the ABC daytime drama series has hired “All My Children” alum Alexa Havins (ex-Babe Chandler) to portray the daughter of Luke and Laura Spencer (Genie Francis and Anthony Geary), and the younger sister of Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson).

Since Daytime Confidential‘s reporting, TV Line has confirmed Havins has been cast as Lulu.
