Jason issues an ultimatum in the spoilers for the Monday, March 24, 2025, episode of General Hospital. Meanwhile, Valentin makes a request of Alexis while Portia and Nina connect.
Next on General Hospital
Jason (Steve Burton) has never liked or trusted Jack Brennan, not when he looked like Charles Mesure, and not certainly now that he looks like Chris McKenna. And after Carly’s (Laura Wright) brush with death in Brennan’s hotel room, that feeling has undoubtedly tripled.
After chatting with Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) about Port Charles’s Wsb Station Chief, Jason rushed to Carly’s room and told her that she and Brennan were done. On Monday, it looks like Jason goes further when he issues an ultimatum. In the sneak peek at the end of Friday’s episode, Carly pretty much tells Jason not to give up on her. “You’d never quit on me; don’t start now.

Here’s What Justin Bruening Thinks About Potentially Working With General Hospital Wife Alexa Havins
Alexa Havins has made the role of General Hospital’s Lulu her own after debuting as a recast in November 2024. After the character was comatose for four years, Havins brought to the part an energy and verve that revitalized Lulu, gearing her up for more adventures to come. And she might end up bringing something else to the show: her real-life husband, Justin Bruening.
Tad Was His Dad
When Havins and Bruening worked together on All My Children, as Babe Chandler and Jamie Martin, respectively, the two fell in love and eventually tied the knot. Bruening recently sat down with Swoon to discuss his thoughts on possibly joining his wife on Gh, although he’s got his plate full with Netflix’s Sweet Magnolias.
Bruening explained that he would enjoy appearing on-screen with his beautiful bride. “It’d be fun. I love working with my wife, so it’d be fun to pop on.

This season of Sweet Magnolias focused a lot on Maddie Townsend (Joanna Garcia Swisher). Maddie and Cal had a Halloween-themed wedding and then dealt with her ex-husband’s death shortly after.
Through it all, the Townsend-Maddox family dealt with it together. This was also the first season the series explored more career options for Maddie.
Therefore, we were eager to chat with Joanna Garcia Swisher since she teased that this was her favorite season. As always, it was enjoyable talking to her as she talked about her love of Sweet Magnolias Season 4 and her pride in her TV children.

She loved how they approached Bill’s death and the epic storylines that came from that.

If you haven’t binged the current season, avoid the spoilers ahead!
Sweet Magnolias Season 4 was largely Maddie and Cal’s season, but it featured enough other core couples where all fan bases should be happy.
After multiple seasons of drama, needless love triangles, and antagonists, it was refreshing to return to the heart of the series: deep friendships, family, romance, and a sense of community.
This season tempered much of the drama and focused more on rebuilding relationships and Serenity after a literal and financial storm hit.

Following the shocking revelation in the closing moments of Sweet Magnolias season 4 episode 2 that Bill had died, the third episode of the season finds the city of Serenity reeling from the unexpected death which sends shockwaves through the town. To say Bill was a complicated man is an understatement, so it’s of no surprise that his death has left his loved ones to deal with a mixed bag of emotions.
We learn that Bill passed suddenly of a heart attack, and Bonnie has come to Serenity to make arrangements for his funeral. While Bill expressed a desire to be buried in Serenity, his mother wants to lay him to rest in Texas instead. In the meantime, she’ll be staying with Maddie and the kids.

Forget mulled wine and hot cocoa — the women of Sweet Magnolias made sure they had something a little stronger to get them through the holidays in Season 4. The new episodes followed small-town South Carolina best friends Maddie (JoAnna Garcia Swisher), Dana Sue (Brooke Elliott), and Helen (Heather Headley) as they celebrated Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, a surprise wedding, and a funeral, all while proving it doesn’t have to be summertime for it to be margarita night.
While previous seasons have seen the Magnolias and the men who love them weather plenty of relationship storms, Season 4 saw Maddie and ex-baseball pro Cal (Justin Bruening) surprise the town with an unexpected Halloween wedding, while Dana Sue and husband Ronnie (Brandon Quinn) reacquainted themselves to married life after renewing their vows in a Season 3 ceremony. On Thursday, Netflix revealed its full 2025 TV slate. The lineup includes the final seasons of two of its biggest shows, Stranger Things and Squid Game, and a second season of its other biggest show, Wednesday. It also includes promising-sounding limited series like Black Rabbit and The Four Seasons, returns of longtime Netflix favorites like Black Mirror and Chef’s Table, an overwhelming number of sports documentaries, and dozens more shows.
The biggest piece of news in the announcement is the startlingly soon release date for Squid Game Season 3. The second and third seasons shot back-to-back, and so the final season is slated for June 27, just six months after the release of Season 2. Netflix also revealed a handful of previously unannounced projects, including a 20th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina documentary that counts Spike Lee as a director, and a Long Island serial killer docuseries from director Liz Garbus.

While Sweet Magnolias is all about friendship, love, and joy, it’s also about earth-shattering, life-changing drama. The latest trailer for Netflix’s mega-hit series gives off a bit of an ominous vibe, including a major and potentially damaging storm. Is something tragic about to happen to Helen, Maddie, and Dana Sue’s strong bond? We’re worried.
Weathering Storms
Maddie: All the storms we’ve weathered, we’ll weather this one too.
During the fourth season of Sweet Magnolias, Helen (Heather Headley), Dana Sue (Brooke Elliott), and Maddie (Joanna Garcia Swisher) fall prey to different types of drama. There’s the one that’s of their own making, where they make decisions that could affect or damage their friendship.
Cal: What are you afraid of most?
Maddie: Losing someone I love.
There’s drama that is out of everybody’s control. Maddie says she’s afraid of losing someone she loves.

Two worlds are colliding and there's two actresses who have played the same Disney princess in two different projects coming together onscreen in Sweet Magnolias season 4! The upcoming season on Netflix is introducing a new character, Iris Maddox, played by Jodi Benson, per TVLine.
If that name sounds familiar to you Disney fans, that's because Benson is the voice of The Little Mermaid. Plus, lead actress JoAnna Garcia Swisher herself also played Ariel in ABC's hit series Once Upon a Time. I love how these two gals are part of each other's world, pun intended, this season! This is so cool and what a wonderful casting.
Per the news outlet, Benson is joining in a recurring role and plays Cal's mother. So she could be Maddie's (Garcia Swisher) future mother-in-law if she and Cal ever decide to take that step. Iris is "amiable, loving, and easygoing," according to TVLine. Netflix...

Fans of The Little Mermaid should get ready for a team-up of two Ariels on a major Netflix show!
It’s been over 35 years since The Little Mermaid began a new era of Disney animation. The 1989 hit was, for its time, the highest-grossing animated movie ever and revitalized Disney. It began the run of what’s now called the Disney Renaissance, as well as inspiring scores of other animated movies.
Disney has never ignored Mermaid. It’s all over the Disney parks with merchandising, rides, a Broadway musical, and more. Naturally, it joined the list of Disney movies adapted into live-action with a 2023 hit starring Halle Bailey in the title role.
For many, Ariel will always be Jodi Benson. The actress’ amazing voice gave life to songs like “Part of Your World,” with Benson remaining a beloved Disney icon. She regularly pops up at events like D23 and concerts and...

Virgin River just dropped, so our next soapy small-town fix must be the streaming juggernaut’s Sweet Magnolias. The third season premiered way back in July of 2023. 2025 is really shaping up to be a wonderful year full of great releases, and Netflix has confirmed two big shows we've been eagerly waiting for, coming in the new year! Get ready for You season 5 and Sweet Magnolias season 4.
You season 5
Let's start with the fifth and final season of You starring Penn Badgley. Unfortunately the streamer still hasn't provided an official release date. Even though the new season is later than expected, you would think a premiere date would be given by now. I mean no offense Netflix, but we already expected it to come in 2025 since it's done filming and wasn't released in 2024 for whatever reason.
Details are still scarce, but we do have a short synopsis and two new intriguing posters that have puzzles for us to decipher. The first one is pretty easy, with the letters spelling out "goodbye you." But the second one is a bit more tricky.

Alexa Havins hit the ground running while playing Lulu on General Hospital. Waking up from her coma, she literally ran from her room at Turning Woods to get back home to Port Charles and escape whatever nefarious plan Cyrus had for her. Now, she’s reconnecting with friends and family. This includes her mother, Laura, and brother, Lucky. Havins opened up about a happy coincidence that occurred before she got the part.
A Twist of Fate
From 2003 to 2011, Havins played Babe Carey on All My Children. She told Soap Opera Digest that her mother had shared an article about her then-costar Justin Bruening, who played Jamie Martin on the soap. The actor endeared her mother after reading several articles about him where “He just seems so sweet.” She thought her daughter should date him, but Havins said she literally wasn’t dating him. But in a twist of fate, she eventually ended up marrying him.

“It’s good to be home,” begins Alexa Havins Bruening, who will make her General Hospital debut on Tuesday, November 19 as Lulu Spencer, daughter of soaps’ biggest supercouple, Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary) and Laura Collins (Genie Francis). “It feels like sliding right back into something that I loved so much.” It’s been over two decades since Havins Bruening hit the daytime scene in 2003, playing Babe Carey on All My Children. General Hospital announced a few months ago that they had recast the role of Lulu Spencer with All My Children alum Alexa Havins. Gh viewers won’t have to wait long for the first glimpse of the new Lulu. Keep reading for all the details on her first air date.
Fans Not Happy That Sam Died So Lulu Could Live
Lulu Spencer has been in a coma on Gh since 2020. The show made the decision to bring the character back but at a huge cost. Fans found out in August that actress Kelly Monaco was let go from the show. Her character, Sam McCall, died last week after undergoing surgery to donate her liver in a life-saving measure for Lulu.
While fans of the soap didn’t want Lulu Spencer to succumb to her illness, they can’t make sense of why it was necessary for Sam to die or the beloved actress to leave.

The anticipation for Lulu’s return on General Hospital is high. After a bomb destroyed the Floating Rib restaurant in 2020, Lulu — then played by Emme Rylan — ended up in a coma. Ever since, she has been in a long-term care facility. But the meds she was given took a toll on her liver. So, she underwent a risky transplant operation. The donor, Sam, died from a heart attack while in recovery, and Lulu’s mom, Laura, has been begging her daughter to emerge from her comatose state. Lulu’s return is imminent, and we now know when Alexa Havins will officially take on the role. And it’s just around the corner.
The Time Is Imminent
Because Sam (Kelly Monaco) died and the hospital wants to transfer Lulu back to the care facility, Laura has been at her daughter’s side begging for her to awaken so that Sam’s death would mean something.

The following contains major spoilers from NCIS Season 22, Episode 3, "The Trouble With Hal," which debuted Monday, Oct. 28 on CBS.
NCIS Season 22, Episode 3, "The Trouble With Hal" is a typical Halloween TV episode. It's lighthearted, has some spooky elements, and more than a few jokes about ghosts. But that's pretty much all the episode has to offer, making it unlikely to have much rewatch value after viewers have celebrated the holiday.
"The Trouble With Hal" involves a Navy Seal returning home from deployment to learn that someone has been squatting in his home -- and that the squatter is dead. To find the killer, the NCIS team has to look into the history of the house itself. What follows is a predictable mystery, but it gets some help from guest stars Donna Mills and Justin Bruening, and it'll give fans a smile or two before the credits roll.

Grey’s Anatomy has broken many hearts over its 20 seasons (and counting), but it’s also angered fans with how certain characters were written off. Realistically, no one wants to see their favorite character leave a show, but if it’s handled the right way, a good departure allows the legacy of the character to remain untouched.
While there are many factors that go into planning and handling a character’s exit, the final product can be hit or miss. Here are what we consider to be the worst and most unnecessary exits from TV’s longest-running primetime medical drama.
