Scott Sternberg Productions today announced the launch of a new documentary division and the acquisition of Strong Island Films.
The first project under Ssp’s new division, Mötley Crüe’s Vince Neil: My Story, will premiere this Sunday on Reelz. Sternberg directed the documentary in which the lead singer of the legendary heavy metal band, in his own words, “details what led him to music, the formation and early days of Mötley Crüe, surviving his hardest party days and how he navigated the road to superstardom.” Neil and Sternberg are executive producers of the film.
The two-hour doc, featuring interviews with Neil’s son and daughter, as well as bandmates Tommy Lee and Nikki Sixx, and others, takes an “incredibly candid” view of the musician’s “much publicized setbacks — from the heartbreak of losing a young child to being arrested for driving under the influence after causing a crash that killed his friend.

Andrea Mitchell almost drowned in balloons when she covered the 2008 Republican National Convention, and was forced to swat them away as she tried to tell MSNBC viewers what was taking place on the ground.
In 2020, the longtime NBC News and MSNBC correspondent will have plenty of air.
Fewer TV journalists will be on the ground at either the Milwaukee site previously selected for the Democratic National Convention or the Jacksonville or Charlotte venues Republicans had chosen to televise their selection process. Mitchell realizes the viewing public is likely to miss some spectacle – and so will the journalists, who were often put through their paces in various arenas and amphitheaters before the TV cameras went on. Mitchell recalls having to get hold of a seating chart and do the equivalent of sprints around the areas reserved for various state delegations so she could practice getting from one place to another while talking to TV audiences.

On the finale of The Real Story with María Elena Salinas, "Fatal Love Triangle," the authorities hone in on a suspect who is later convicted early in the crime.
The problem is they may be focusing too intently on evidence that will convict a specific suspect.
Will an innocent woman go to prison while someone else goes free for the murder of a vivacious young woman named Robin Spielbauer?
Robin Spielbauer is brutally murdered on a dirt road outside Amarillo, Texas. The woman who is convicted of her murder is her ex-husband's husband ex-wife, Katy Phipps Spielbauer.
Within days of the crime, Randall County Sheriff’s investigators discover evidence of a volatile love triangle that was spiraling out of control.
The culprit of the heinous crime seems obvious, and authorities move quickly to deliver justice to Robin’s family.

Latin Emmys fete Saralegui and Salinas
NEW YORK -- Talk show host Cristina Saralegui and Univision anchor Maria Elena Salinas are among the honorees selected for the second annual Latin Emmys. The Latin Emmys will be held Oct. 19 at the Time Life Building in New York, Mayor Michael Bloomberg said Monday at a news conference in which the six honorees also were named. "It's going to be a truly special night," Bloomberg said. "We're so glad this show is moving to La Gran Manzana, and we hope it will be its permanent home." In addition to Saralegui and Salinas, recipients of this year's Latin Emmys, which recognize individual achievement but are not a competitive awards program, will be Fernando Arau, a host on Univision's Despierta America; Saul Lisazo, an actor on the Telemundo novela Tierra de Pasiones; Jessi Losada, a sports anchor on Telemundo; and Lucero, star of the Televisa novela Alborada. Telemundo soccer broadcaster Andres Cantor, an honoree at last year's inaugural Latin Emmys, announced the honorees at the City Hall news conference along with Bloomberg.
