Exclusive: Gravitas Ventures has acquired North American distribution rights to Charming the Hearts of Men, an indie dramedy written and directed by S.E. DeRose. Kelsey Grammer, Anna Friel, Sean Astin, Aml Ameen and Dianne Ladd star in the pic, which will get a day-and-date theatrical and on-demand release August 13, 2021.

In the plot, described as a fictional account inspired by true events and set in the politically charged 1960s, Grammer plays a Southern congressman who meets Grace (Friel), who has returned home due to the sudden death of her father and finds life as she knew it has changed. She is thrust into the uncomfortable realization that she and the marginalized women she encounters are part of a society in which they have little hope and virtually no power without a male provider. Grace sets out only to save her own way of life, but with the help of the congressman...

Exclusive: Max Ehrich is starring in the musically-driven motion picture Southern Gospel which tells the true story of rock ‘n’ roll star Samuel Allen who must overcome seemingly endless obstacles on his journey to fulfilling his childhood dream.

Katelyn Nacon, who plays Enid on AMC’s The Walking Dead is also starring in the film.

Ehrich starred in the CBS-Amblin series Under the Dome as Hunter May and was most recently seen in the Jenji Kohan produced dramedy series, American Princess on Lifetime, as well as the Netflix original film Walk.Ride.Rodeo which featured one of Ehrich’s original songs, “Ride.” The actor previously earned four Daytime Emmy nominations for his work on The Young and the Restless.

The film is currently shooting using a number of Covid-19 safety protocols.

The supporting cast in the Jeffrey A. Smith directed feature includes J. Alphonse Nicholson, Gary Weeks and Justice Leak.

Here's your slightly freaky first glimpse of Justice Leak as Hellgrammite as he'll appear on CBS's Supergirl. In the comics, this handsome fella was originally an entomologist named Roderick Rose who was subjected to a experiment that transformed him into a insectoid monster. However, for the purposes of this TV series he'll have extraterrestrial origins, just like our leading lady. The network hasn't specified which episode he'll show up in, but there's a good chance it'll be next week's if they're releasing this image now, during tonight's second instalment.

It’s exactly two months to the day until Kara Zor-El takes flight on CBS and to celebrate, the network has released the official synopsis for the pilot episode of Supergirl.

Melissa Benoist will don the famous symbol of hope as the titular heroine, and CBS’ live-action rendition of the beloved DC comics character will imagine a world where our protagonist struggles to keep a lid on her supernatural abilities. As cousin to the Man of Steel, Kara harbors the power to fly along with superhuman strength, and Benoist’s lead will need to call upon her innate superhero if she really is to protect National City from oncoming threats.

Kim Basinger is set to join Jake Gyllenhaal, Amy Adams, Michael Shannon and Aaron Taylor-Johnson in Tom Ford's "Nocturnal Animals" at Focus Features. An adaptation of Austin Wright's novel "Tony and Susan," Ford will direct from his own script.

The (almost) perfectly named Justice Leak is set to appear on CBS' DC Comics freshman drama Supergirl. According to EW, Leak will portray the villainous alien 'Hellgrammite', who looks like he'll cause Melissa Benoist's Supergirl plenty of problems early on into her crime-fighting career. He joins a number of DC villains already confirmed for the show, including 'Reactron' and 'Livewire'. In the source material, Hellgrammite went by the name of 'Roderick Rose'. Rose was a entomologist who was subjected to a experiment that transformed him into a insectoid monster. However, given the involvement of the Deo on Supergirl, it makes sense that this version of Hellgrammite will have extraterrestrial origins. What do you think of the new villain? At its core, writer-director Thomas Verrette's thriller grapples with the foundational relationship between memory and self-identity. It's a well-trod path of exploration, and Verrette — largely competent, often pedestrian — doesn't bring much new to the investigative process.

Previously, I interviewed the lovely ladies Emma Bell and Ellen Wroe for "Final Destination 5." This was in 2011.

Then, in 2012, both fun actresses created a Kickstarter campaign to create their passion -- a spoof of rap/jazz/R & B parody mocking the "dichotomous viewpoints of the American health food craze and obesity obstacle." They called it "The Food Ditty." Back then, they said, "It will be a quirky, quaint and quite idiosyncratic video much in the vein of Ellen's first spoof rap video, The Gatorade Rap."

Well, they were successful in raising $15,000 for their project, and they recently unveiled "The Food Ditty" on FunnyorDie.com! They were even featured on the home page of the comedy site! Yay!
