She mentioned that the 22nd season of the reality singing competition series would be her last on the iconic show.

This news was shocking, to say the least. Perry had garnered a fan following for her over-the-top themed outfits and her never-die attitude. In 2018, she joined the revival of American Idol along with Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie, becoming a family of sorts.
