The rapper and singer, who also has new management with Cory Litwin at Range Media Partners, is set to drop an EP, What Happened to Forever, at midnight on Feb. 12.
“Epic is one of those labels who understands me as an artist and as a person, and I’m super appreciative of that,” Leray tells THR in announcing the deal. “They support me rather than try to tell me what to do, and that’s all an artist can ask for when it comes to signing with a major label.”
Prior to her move to the Sony Music subsidiary, Leray has released music via Republic Records and Island Records, both companies under the Universal Music Group umbrella.

2024 has been a great year for pop music, with efforts from Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, Charli Xcx, Ariana Grande, and Billie Eilish all releasing to high acclaim, not to mention major singles and albums from the likes of Benson Boone and Taylor Swift. But in such a stacked year, how will voters decide the final five for each pop category?
This year’s biggest pop star is undoubtedly Carpenter, and the Grammys will surely acknowledge it. She has achieved success with her breakout sixth album, “Short n’ Sweet,” which includes the top-three hits “Taste,” “Espresso,” and “Please Please Please.” She’s a lock for both Best Pop Solo Performance (“Espresso”) and Best Pop Vocal Album (“Short n’ Sweet”) nominations, and if voters are craving even more of her, they might even nominate her Girl In Red collaboration, “You Need Me Now?,” for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.

Dancing with the Stars season 33 hit the dance floor on Sept. 17, airing on ABC and streaming on Disney+ simultaneously. The premiere episode gave us all a pretty good idea at the partnership between the celebrities and professional dancers.
The first dance is always so telling. Fans (and judges) get to see the chemistry between the couples and can guess their chances of improvement. Take Joey, for example. He came in looking nervous, and his moves were also shaky, but the judges all agree that they can see the potential. Ready to dive into all the details? Join us on the dance floor!
Spoiler alert! Please note there are spoilers ahead if you have not watched the season 33 premiere of DWTS. Go stream it on Disney+ before reading ahead.

“Dancing with the Stars” returns tonight, September 17, for its 33rd season with 13 new celebs competing for the Len Goodman Mirror Ball Trophy. Every week those contestants will perform in a new dance style and be judged and scored by Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough and Bruno Tonioli. Those scores will then be combined with viewer votes to determine who stays and who goes. But nobody’s going home tonight. The "M3GAN" universe is expanding beyond the pint-sized killer bestie for children, and giving something wild as hell for adult viewers who need something a little stronger than a cartwheel and a creepy rendition of David Guetta and Sia's "Titanium" to give them a good scare. As was announced today, Blumhouse Productions and James Wan's Atomic Monster are currently developing "SOULM8TE," a 1990s-style erotic thriller "with a new technological twist." We have been in a drought of good erotic thrillers for years, so this announcement is exciting, overdue, and exactly the type of project Blumhouse needs to get audiences hyped after this lackluster 2024. Here's the film's very intriguing synopsis:
In "SOULM8TE," a man acquires an Artificially Intelligent android to cope with the loss of his recently deceased wife. In an attempt to create a truly sentient partner, he inadvertently turns a harmless lovebot into a deadly soulmate.

Scooter Braun has announced his retirement from artist management, closing the book one of the most successful runs of artist representation in recent music history.
Over his 23-year career in artist management, Braun represented acts including Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato, J Balvin, Carly Rae Jepsen, Lil Dicky, Tori Kelly, Kanye West, and others.
However, Braun’s reputation took a major hit when his holding company purchased the master recordings to Taylor Swift’s first six albums as part of a larger acquisition of Big Machine Label Group (apparently without Swift’s knowledge). The following year, Braun sold her discography to an investment fund for around $300 million. The deal, which Swift described as her “worst case scenario,” inspired her to commit to one of the most groundbreaking acts in recent music industry history: re-record her first six albums in order to own her music herself, thereby standing in complete...

Lady Gaga’s 2008 breakthrough “The Fame” was one of the most successful debut albums in recent history, not only a hot seller, but a critically praised record at that. Its impact could be measured in a million ways, but on its 15th anniversary the album’s Grammy success comes to mind.

“The Fame” wasn’t an overnight sensation, it was a slow riser. Debuting at number-17 initially, the album was helped by word-of-mouth and its lead single “Just Dance” being a budding hit (number-27 that week). The trio will oversee the department’s 340 employees across music, comedy and podcast touring, brand partnerships, tour marketing and private events. Banks is promoted after co-leading CAA’s London music office, while Eaton and Roskin have been co-heads of contemporary music for North America, running the day-to-day operations of that key regional touring department.
CAA represents touring talent like The Weeknd, Harry Styles, Katy Perry, Dua Lipa, John Mayer, Rüfüs Du Sol, Jelly Roll, Kelly Clarkson, Lady Gaga, Bruce Springsteen and David Guetta.
The new triumverate at the major talent agency follows Rob Light, who spent 25 years as head of global touring, recently being elevated to CAA managing director, working alongside CAA co-chairman and CEO Bryan Lourd, co-chairmen Kevin Huvane and Richard Lovett and president Jim Burtson on strategic business and operational matters.

Warner Music Group reported fiscal second-quarter revenue of $1.5 billion, up 7 percent from a year ago, and net income of $96 million, up from $37 million a year ago. While both numbers saw a jump, the company reported earnings per share of 18 cents per share, below Wall Street expectations of 20 cents.
The bottom-line results were driven by a strong operating performance — $12 million in savings from a March 2023 restructuring plan — and the impact of exchange rates on the company’s Euro-denominated debt, which led to a gain of $21 million in the quarter compared to a loss of $20 million in the prior-year quarter.
“Our performance in the quarter was driven by an acceleration in Recorded Music subscription streaming growth and continued momentum in music publishing,” said Bryan Castellani, CFO of Warner Music. “Encouraged by the continued growth in engagement and value of music, we remain focused on delivering on our strategy and driving long-term shareholder value.

Having worked with artists such as David Guetta and Chris Brown, and brands such as Nike and Puma, Director Shapxo has developed a bold, visually lavish style that often blends contemporary aesthetics with the rich history of culture. That combination of past and present continues with his latest fashion short Chasing The Drums, which presents a Pan-African inspired world filled with dynamic, fantastical elements. In the short film’s brief 79 seconds, the Berlin-based filmmaker is able to use energised cinematography and ambitious conceptual effects to produce a visual feast that highlights the inspired fashion of Rick Owens and Balenciaga. With the film now available to watch online, Dn caught up with Shapxo to talk about his ambitious vision for the shoot, working night and day during the post-production process, and the challenges of shooting in an operating subway station.
