Hulu is moving forward with a new limited series inspired by the real-life story of convicted killer Alex Murdaugh. It's now been revealed who will be playing Murdaugh in the show, and it's one of the stars of the Terminator franchise who more recently appeared in Christopher Nolan's Oscar-winning film Oppenheimer.
Per Deadline, it's been reported that Jason Clarke will portray Murdaugh in the untitled series. Clarke is one of a handful of actors to play the key role of John Connor, taking on the part in 2015's Terminator Genisys. His other big film roles include Zerk Dark Thirty, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, First Man, Pet Sematary, and The Devil All the Time. More recently, Clarke starred as former L.A. Lakers coach Jerry West in the HBO series Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty and played Ranger Robb in last year's smash hit Oppenheimer.

Let’s face it, no family is dysfunctional quite like the Bluths. The cult classic sitcom, Arrested Development, first aired in 2003 and redefined the chaotic comedy with its mix of zany characters and absurdly tangled storyline. From a banana stand with “always money in it” to endless chicken dances, the show has given us unforgettable moments and a memorable cast that felt more like a bizarrely entertaining extended family than fictional characters.
Leading the madness was Jason Bateman as Michael Bluth, the so-called “responsible” one trying to hold his trainwreck of a family together. Then there’s Will Arnett as Gob, the magician with an ego bigger than his tricks, and Portia de Rossi as Lindsay, the ultra-glamorous activist with questionable motives.

Tony Hale has mined great depths of humor from neuroses in the past, from his role as Buster in Arrested Development to his wonderful 'bag man,' Gary, in Veep. He did this in the most literal way imaginable this year, when he took on the voice of Fear in the animated sequel, Inside Out 2. That film would go on to become the highest-grossing animated movie of all time, and it appears it will be the highest-grossing film of 2024, as well. The year of Inside Out isn't over yet, though, with a special limited series spin-off of the films coming to Disney+ before 2025, titled Dream Productions. Hale shared his excitement with us:
"I haven't seen it yet, so I'm really eager. I think it comes out in December, I think that's when it comes out. I mean, here's the thing, Pixar is just a creative machine to me, and...

Scarlett Johansson has done some remarkable work as an actress in Hollywood. But in this slew of roles and projects, her portrayal of Black Widow in the Marvel Cinematic Universe would definitely be the highlight of her career. However, despite this popularity, her character also had to endure some major objectification on the Iron Man 2 set.

Apart from her wonderful roles, Johansson is also known to be quite vocal in expressing her opinions. In the same manner, she did not shy away in a past interview, when she called out Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark for objectifying her character on set.

Westerns were, for a while, a bit of a dying genre. The golden age of the Western occurred years ago, with the work of directors like John Ford and Howard Hawks or actors like Clint Eastwood and John Wayne. It seemed that they would disappear as the film industry evolved to focus on more spectacle-oriented movies rather than the tales of tradition vs. modernity that the great Western directors made.
However, in the last twenty years or so, there's been a bit of a resurgence in the Western, and some of the best entries to the genre as a whole have been released. Many of these were made by the Coen Brothers, who have proved themselves to be some of the greatest directors in the genre's history and have...

The Transformers franchise is mostly defined by one Autobot in particular: Optimus Prime. The bearer of the Autobot Matrix of Leadership and typically the robot that commands the heroic faction. This wasn't always the case in the various Generation 1 anime, however, even though one series had a character who was Prime in everything but name.
Transformers: Super-God Masterforce was the second Japanese-exclusive Transformers anime series, and it took the franchise in a much different direction than the latter days of the Western version of G1. This included a character who looked like Optimus Prime, yet actually wasn't. Known as Ginrai, the Autobot has since become synonymous with the Japanese iteration of G1, with him and another Autobot now being recreated in the Transformers: Mpg toyline.

A hundred years later, the sequence still radiates an otherworldly aura: a man wearing a porkpie hat walks down the aisle of a movie theater, steps up onto the stage, and slips into the motion picture screen. The film we have been watching — a conventional enough story of a boy who loses his girl due to a dumb misunderstanding — flows fluidly into another cinematic realm, where the boy is a brilliant detective who outwits the bad guys, solves the crime, and gets the girl. One Hollywood fantasy is switched for a more beguiling Hollywood fantasy.
The film, of course, is Sherlock Jr. (1924), directed by and starring Buster Keaton, the greatest of all silent film comedian-auteurs. (Team Chaplin is welcome to dissent.) It is the usual Keaton concoction of ingenious gags, trick photography and jaw-dropping stunt work, but the film, true to its name, is also an investigation into the role...

For the last few generations of console video gaming, the landscape has been, more or less, pretty stable. Sony and Microsoft battle for dominance with their cutting-edge machinery while Nintendo lives on with something quaint dependent on their first-party quality. Of course, this wasn’t always the way. There was a time when the world of video games housed a war that defined the extreme ‘90s. It was a time when a company sized up one of the most dominant giants in any industry and briefly won over most of the world by saying, “We’re cooler than them.”

It’s no secret that the Netflix-era of Arrested Development isn’t quite as well-regarded as the first three seasons. The climactic scene of the final episode literally finds the Bluth family stumbling upon Lucille II’s grinning corpse, immediately followed by Buster’s murder confession. A glorious paean to the lurid sensuality and gory excess of 1980s sexploitation and horror, MaXXXine completes Ti West’s trilogy of star showcases for his fearless muse Mia Goth on a delectable note. Like its predecessors, X and Pearl, this is a gleeful dive into retro movie tropes with vivid period evocation, this time featuring a deluxe supporting cast. As Elizabeth Debicki’s ice-cool British filmmaker giving Goth’s Maxine Minx the chance to jump from porn stardom into a more legitimate career says of her feature project: “It’s a B-movie with A ideas.”
That applies no less to West’s latest psychosexual chiller.
