Already proving to be an instant hit for Netflix, taking the number-one spot in most countries on its debut, Kaos offers an innovative and chaotic reimagining of Greek mythology. Of course, it does not hurt to have the always-charismatic Jeff Goldblum in the role of Zeus. The series has certainly sparked interest in stories about ancient gods and heroes, leaving many fans wanting more. Thankfully, Netflix has another series on their platform, that also happens to be 100% fresh on Rt, and uses Greek mythology as its inspiration.

Blood of Zeus may be tonally different from Kaos, and in a different medium, animation versus live action, but the series boasts many exceptional elements that should appeal to fans of the recent Netflix hit. We will look a bit more at what Blood of Zeus is, and why you should consider checking it out yourself while riding the high of Greek-inspired fantasy.

Blood of Zeus has been renewed for a third and final season at the streamer, series creators/executive producers Charley Parlapanides and Vlas Parlapanides announced during the show’s San Diego Comic-Con panel Saturday.

Blood of Zeus offers a fresh take on Greek mythology, blending classic characters with new additions like Heron and Seraphim. The show elevates the stakes of Greek myth by highlighting stories like Hera's wrath towards Zeus and the giants' battle for dominance. Inspired by Ancient Greek mythology, the first season of Netflix’s Blood of Zeus, initially known as Gods & Heroes, premiered on October 27, 2020. The series had a total of eight episodes, and it was well-received by fans and critics. Created by Charley and Vlas Parlapanides, the series was produced by Powerhouse Animation Studios with the animation outsourced to South Korean studios Mua Film and Hanho Heung-Up. The series was quickly renewed for a second season in December 2020, but it took a total of four years for the series to return, as Netflix finally confirmed that the second season will premiere on May 9, 2024.

The creators of the series have confirmed that they have a total of five seasons planned, and we just hope that we won’t have to wait that long for the upcoming seasons to appear. Alongside the premiere date, a trailer has also been released, which you can watch below.

The Netflix original series Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts from DreamWorks Animation has unveiled their voice cast for the forthcoming coming-of-age animated series which includes Karen Fukuhara, Deon Cole, Coy Stewart, Sydney Mikayla and Dee Bradley Baker. The series will also feature an all-star roster of guest stars including Sterling K. Brown, Dan Stevens, Lea Delaria, Joan Jett, John Hodgman, Gza and more. Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts will premiere on the streaming platform January 14.

Here’s the logline of the series: “After spending her entire life living in an underground burrow, a curious young girl named Kipo (Fukuhara) is thrust into an adventure on the surface of a fantastical post-apocalyptic Earth. She joins a ragtag group of survivors as they embark on a journey through a vibrant wonderland where everything trying to kill them is downright adorable.”

A Very English Scandal, the BBC and Amazon co-production, scored three gongs at the BAFTA TV Craft Awards. The Hugh Grant-fronted mini-series beat two other high-profile U.S.-backed series, Killing Eve and Patrick Melrose, which both won two awards at the behind-the-scenes awards.

The event was hosted by Episodes’ Stephen Mangan in London and comes ahead of the main awards next month.

A Very English Scandal, based on the Jeremy Thorpe scandal, won in Costume Design, Director: Fiction and Editing: Fiction, while BBC America’s Killing Eve picked up the Original Music and Sound: Fiction awards and Showtime and Sky co-pro Patrick Melrose received the Production Design and Writer: Drama award with David Nicholls beating Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Russell T Davies and Lennie James to the latter.

The fact that these events actually happened made aspects of this film even better. Its almost like a two act play between the two main character for a large portion of the film.
