Clara LaFlamme was born in Tennessee in a small town north of Nashville. Clara was home-schooled and went to a tutorial school twice a week. At her tutorial school Clara joined the drama class and began acting. Clara was given the lead role in all three plays she did with her school. One of her most notable productions was Heidi where she played Heidi. Clara starting acting more seriously and began acting for her local community theatre at age ten and started taking classes at Nashville Children's Theatre and Nashville Acting Studio. Throughout her childhood Clara also trained under Tiffany Payton and Dance South Performing arts. Clara's more recent work has been performing in her first feature film The Life of Me and writing her first script, Out of the Box.
