After two seasons on Syfy, the horror comedy TV series Reginald the Vampire has come to an end, as Deadline was able to confirm that the show has been cancelled. In the Reginald report, Deadline also mentions that the fate of the Chucky TV series, which airs on both Syfy and USA Network, is still undecided. Or, as they put it, “The fate of both Reginald the Vampire and Chucky, which is shared by Syfy and USA, had been pending, and Chucky is still Tbd.” In the meantime, the Syfy series Resident Alien is moving over to USA Network for its fourth season.

Syfy has revealed the official trailer and key art for the second season of Reginald the Vampire, which will premiere on May 8, 2024, at 10 p.m. on Syfy.
Reginald Andres finally got his life together – when he was turned into a vampire.
While he doesn’t fit into the stereotypical expectations of what a vampire looks like – he’s not chiseled or classically handsome – Reginald has found his place amongst an unlikely cohort that includes the cool vampire who sired him, the former vampire chieftain turned unexpected ally (or is she?), and his co-worker/former girlfriend.
A show with a lot of heart and just enough blood, Reginald the Vampire proves the undead life is just as complicated as life itself.
The series stars Jacob Batalon, Em Haine (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), Mandela Van Peebles (Mayor of Kingstown), Savannah Basley (SurrealEstate), Marguerite Hanna (Ashley Weeks), Aren Buchholz (Supernatural), and Georgia Waters...

This Is Halloween: The Gateway Horrors of ‘Cobweb’ and ‘The Curse of Bridge Hollow’ [Double Trouble]
I grew up on Hocus Pocus, Halloweentown, and Goosebumps. These gateway horrors opened up a whole new world for me. The trembling fear I endured when Carly Beth slid on that terrifying green mask still lingers with me even now. And I’ll never forget the chills I felt running down my spine when Sarah launched into “Come Little Children” or the penetrating gaze of Kalabar that seemed to cut into my soul. These images provoked something in me, conspiring to lure me into horror – and I’ve never left. I might be 30-something now, but I can still enjoy nice little gateway horror movies, especially when they’re as compelling as the Halloween-set Cobweb and The Curse of Bridge Hollow.
In Cobweb, screenwriter Chris Thomas Devlin stages an epically creepy story about a young boy named Peter (Woody Norman), whose parents Carol (Lizzy Caplan) and Mark (Antony Starr) rule with a stringent hand.

The décor is tired of being neglected this Halloween season. A restless spirit with malintent uses any and every Halloween decoration and animatronic in its path to wreak havoc upon a small town. While Netflix’s The Curse of Bridge Hollow shares a similar premise to another family-friendly, novelty Halloween flick this Fall, its execution is far more energetic and fun.
The Howards have just moved to the quaint town of Bridge Hollow, just in time for Halloween. That’s excellent news for teen Sydney; her keen interest in the supernatural means she’s excited to see the entire block decked out with perfectly themed Halloween lawn displays. Her skeptic dad, Howard (Marlon Wayans), prefers science over superstition and is far less enthused about the Halloween revelry. It also means that father and daughter struggle to see eye to eye, often leaving mom Emily (Kelly Rowland) to referee. But when...

Jacob Batalon addressed how playing the beloved character of Ned in Marvel’s “Spider-Man” trilogy helped inform how he approached his leading role in Syfy’s “Reginald the Vampire,” joking that he was grateful his fellow co-stars were “willing to put up with my diva-ness.”
“I think my experiences working on the ‘Spider-Man’ movies has really informed the way I operate on set in the way that I found that the easiest way for us to progress in a shoot is to make sure everyone is happy and comfortable and likes each other,” Batalon said on a panel Thursday as part of NBC Universal’s portion of the Television Critics Association summer tour.
Batalon also said he has learned a lot through the years from watching others on set.

Jacob Batalon is best known as Spidey’s Bff Ned Leeds in the box office-smashing “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” but he’s exploring his undead side in upcoming Syfy comedy drama “Reginald the Vampire.” In the series, based on Johnny B. Truant’s “Fat Vampire” novels, Batalon plays a recently turned vampire, Reginald, who finds he still has mostly the same problems as his living counterparts: an evil boss, unrequited love and a vampire chieftain out to get him.
