A stage production of Neil Gaiman's 2002 children's novel Coraline has been canceled, Variety reports. A statement from the production partners behind the scrapped musical cited the recent allegations of sexual misconduct brought against the author. Coraline — A Musical was originally scheduled to run at the Leeds Playhouse in England from April to May of this year before embarking on a tour through Edinburgh, Birmingham, and Manchester. In the joint statement from Leeds Playhouse, Royal Lyceum Theatre Edinburgh, Birmingham Rep, and Home Manchester, the organizations stated, "We have decided our production of Coraline – A Musical will not proceed."

After a summertime return to theaters that grossed over $53 million at the global box office, Laika’s acclaimed 2009 stop-motion animated film Coraline returns to theaters for a special Halloween engagement starting on October 31st.

In partnership with Fathom in the US and Trafalgar Releasing internationally, the film is offered in stunning, newly remastered 3D as well as 2D formats.

Coraline returned to theaters worldwide for its 15th Anniversary in newly remastered 3D for a special limited engagement that started August 15th. In partnership with Fathom in the U.S. and Trafalgar Releasing internationally, the film is offered in stunning, newly remastered 3D and 2D formats.

Since opening on Thursday, August 15, the re-issue of Coraline has earned over $20 million at the worldwide box office. It has sold $12.5 million in tickets in the U.S. and $7.6 million internationally, for a worldwide total of $20.1 million. Coraline was the #4 movie at the domestic box office.

Ever since Coraline was released in 2009, fans have been hoping for a follow-up. However, director Henry Selick, who adapted Neil Gaiman's children's book of the same name into a stop-motion animated film, recently revealed that he is currently not working on a sequel.

"It's something I love and have danced around," Selick told GamesRadar+ when asked about the "almost sequel" to Coraline called The Ocean at the End of the Lane, that was announced in June this year. "It's almost come together a few times. I would hope that it might still come together, but I have no predictions," the filmmaker added.

The musical romantic comedy series “Up Here” has been canceled after just one season at Hulu, Variety has learned.

The series’ one and only season debuted on Hulu back on March 24. It was originally ordered to series at the streamer in January 2022.

The series boasted an all-star lineup behind the camera. Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, the songwriters of “Frozen” and “Frozen 2” wrote original songs for the series and executive produced, while Steven Levenson, who wrote the book for “Dear Evan Hansen,” and veteran TV writer Danielle Sanchez-Witzel served as writers and executive producers.

Thomas Kail, who previously directed Broadway shows like “Hamilton” and “In the Heights,” directed and executive produced under his Old 320 Sycamore Productions banner. Jennifer Todd of Old 320 Sycamore also executive produced. 20th Television was the studio. Old 320 Sycamore is currently under an overall deal at the studio.

Ahead of the anticipated animated movie's release on Digital and Blu-ray, Adult Swim provided a new sneak peek at The Venture Bros.: Radiant Is the Blood of a Baboon Heart.

The clip, shared on YouTube by Adult Swim, features Dean (Michael Sinterniklaas) enlisting Dr. Orpheus (Steven Rattazzi) to help in his search for Hank. A new photo from the scene was also unveiled, featuring Dr. Orpheus using hid mystical abilities to search for Hank as Dean looks on. Adult Swim has debuted the official trailer for the upcoming film continuation of the beloved animated series, The Venture Bros.

In the upcoming film, which picks up after the explosive events of Season 7, Team Venture is forced to fight their way through conspiracies, mysteries, and plenty of villains to find Hank and restore the world as they once knew it. Adult Swim also unveiled when fans could get their hands on The Venture Bros.: Radiant is the Blood of the Baboon Heart, announcing that the film would arrive on Digital on July 21 and DVD and Blu-ray on July 25, from Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment.

The Venture Bros. fans will be able to get their hands on the complete series DVD box set earlier than initially expected.

Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment has announced that all 82 episodes of Adult Swim's award-winning original adult animated series will be available to purchase on Digital and DVD on June 13, one week earlier than the previous June 20 release date. The digital purchase will retail for $79.99, while the DVD box set will go for $134.99 ($129.99 Canadian). The complete series will also come with all the previously released special features.

It's based on the 2015 musical "Up Here" by husband-and-wife team Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez.

We're all nostalgic for the 1990s now, so here's a throwback to the rom-coms of the era. It's in no way trying to reinvent the genre -- let's call it an homage.

Even the general conceit that the main characters have imaginary people living in their heads that they converse with regularly is not so unique. It's not far off from Herman's Head, Inside Out, or the "Dream Ghosts" sequence from Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.
