DC Comics is joining forces with Emmy award-winning developer Genvid Entertainment on “DC Heroes United,” a weekly interactive series that will premiere Nov. 21 on Tubi, DC.com, DC’s official YouTube channel and the ‘DC Heroes United’ app.

Set on Earth-212, the show will follow the birth of the Justice League and classic DC characters, including Batman, Wonder Woman, Superman and more. The voice cast includes Aleks Le (“Demon Slayer” and “Persona 3 Reload”) as Batman and YouTube singer AmaLee as Black Canary.

“We are at the dawn of superheroes. The Tower of Fate will suddenly fall onto Gotham City, and heroes will meet for the first time,” AmaLee says in the trailer. “Each week will bring a new half-hour episode with three to five different decisions for the audience to make together. You’ll be asked to make choices about how Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman should behave, and these choices will affect other characters.

In celebration of the official Japanese national holiday Marine Day, one talented anime cosplayer transformed herself into Marin Kitagawa, the cosplay queen from the extremely popular My Dress-Up Darling. What makes this Marin cosplay so special is its beach setting, as it evokes wonderful memories of arguably the best episode in the series.

Per Inside Games, a cosplayer named Yua Takanashi (@/yuazzing) uploaded photos of herself dressed up as the My Dress-Up Darling heroine on social media platform X (formerly Twitter). The photos shared by the Japanese website are set at the beach, where Yua is engaging in some lighthearted summer fun as Marin. These summer cosplay photos were published for the celebration of Marine Day, which occurs on the third Monday in July. The Japanese holiday also sometimes goes by the name of Ocean Day or Sea Day.

Fans of My Dress-Up Darling will soon have a new way to experience Marin Kitagawa and her wonderful anime cosplays once again. The anime series is collaborating with the Build Divide trading card game for an exclusive release featuring autographed cards.

The official Build Divide website announced it will release new cards based on the My Dress-Up Darling anime series. A starter deck and a booster pack will both be released on Oct. 25, 2024. One booster pack will retail for 330 yen (US$2.07), while a booster pack box (16 packs a box) will cost 5,280 yen (US$33.07). The starting deck will cost 1,650 yen (US$10.33), and a box of six decks will cost 9,900 yen (US$61.99).

A cosplayer who goes by the name of Araki uploaded her picture-perfect rendition of Marin dressed as Shizuku Kuroe. Within the franchise, Shizuku, also known as "Shizuku-tan," is a video game heroine from a risqu dating simulation game called Saint Slippery's Academy for Girls. The dating sim follows a "self-insert" male student attending a girls-only school. He's forced to join the Humiliation Club and soon becomes the "pet" of the club's president, with Shizuku-tan being one of the romantic routes available in the fictional game.

Back in November 2022, Anime Limited announced plans to bring the A Place Further Than the Universe anime to home video in North America, complete with the original Japanese audio and a brand new English dub. Now a date has been set, with Anime Limited and Shout! Studios bringing the series home in a collector's edition set on April 22, 2024. In addition to the 13-episode series, the collector's edition packs a 92-page booklet, two-disc soundtrack, poster and four art cards. On-disc extras include clean versions of the opening and ending and a making of featurette for the English dub. A voice actor for the Attack on Titan anime TV series has revealed themselves to be the identity of a popular anime Vtuber who's now been streaming for two years.

Jessie James Grelle, an American voice actor for anime characters like Armin Arlert from Attack on Titan and Yuri Katsuki from Yuri on Ice, announced on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) that they're the identity of Mimcubus, an independent Vtuber. "I've been Vtubing in secret (mostly) for over 2 years now," Grelle said. "Mim has changed my life is [sic] ways I could never have predicted. But now, we'll be stronger together than we were apart. Here's to building something new. I hope you'll join me!"

For the latest episode of her What Women Binge podcast, Hart and co-host Amanda Lee shared details about their experiences Monday when police and emergency responders took over the area surrounding The Covenant School, a private Presbyterian parochial school, where a shooter killed three children and three adults.

Hart and Lee noted that they were respectively on their way to their children’s schools, which were close by, for conferences or already there when they began to encounter or see on the news the local authorities’ response to the active shooter situation. Released theatrically in English on November 4th, One Piece Film: Red follows Luffy and the Straw Hat pirates as they go to attend a concert by pop-idol Uta. Much to the surprise of the other Straw Hats, Luffy reveals that Uta is not only his childhood friend but also Shanks' daughter.

Unfortunately, Uta and Shanks didn't part ways on the best terms, with the red-haired pirate trusting the protection of his daughter to a mysterious man named Gordon. With these characters having implications for Luffy and the other Straw Hats even beyond Red, fans have been dying to know more about Uta and Gordon.

The manga series is known for breaking the World Guinness Record for most printed comic series by one author. "One Piece" follows the Straw Hat gang, lead by Monkey D. Luffy (Colleen Clinkenbeard), whose consumption of a Devil Fruit granted him awesome stretchy powers. Luffy is on a long quest to find the legendary One Piece treasure and claim the King of the Pirates throne.
