Welcome to the Circle is the first feature as director for David Fowler. Also known as The Circle, this feature was acquired by Devilworks in March, for potential distribution. Now, Artsploitations Films will show this feature, in the U.S., in October. In the film's story, a camping adventure turns to tragedy for a father and his daughter. Now, both characters are trapped in a murderous cult. This title stars: Heather Doerksen (Pacific Rim), Matthew MacCaull (Star Trek Beyond) and Taylor Dianne Robinson. And, the film's release details are hosted here. Welcome to the Circle has appeared at a couple of film festivals, including Fantasporto (Portugal). Lionsgate’s feel-good drama Military Wives is the latest feature to break the traditional theatrical window due to the ongoing closure of cinemas. The film will arrive on premium VOD in the UK on March 27. It was released theatrically on March 6, grossing close to $3M before cinemas were shuttered last week. Lionsgate CEO Zygi Kamasa said the decision was made to “continue to make Military Wives available to consumers”. Other releases to have broken the window in these extraordinary circumstances include Disney Pixar’s Onward.

Davy Raphaely (Camp Dread), Dave Sheridan (Sky Sharks) and Sarah French (Ouija House) star. Alexander Bafer and Doug Henderson produce for Everything’s Fire Productions, Jonathan Ilchert is executive producer for Brick Top Productions. Back in September, Pacific Rim fans learned the disappointing news that Pacific Rim 2 has been delayed, pushed out of its planned August 4, 2017 release to an undetermined time frame, to give director Guillermo del Toro and writer Travis Beacham more time to perfect the story. Thankfully, fans can get a new glimpse inside this fascinating universe right now. Long before this delay happened, those filmmakers teamed up with writer Joshua Fialkov for a new comic book series entitled Pacific Rim: Tales From the Drift, which is available now from Legendary Comics.

The comic follows the best-selling graphic novel Pacific Rim: Tales from Year Zero, taking fans back to the frontlines of a larger-than-life battleground, featuring all-new Kaiju creatures in this thrilling continuation of the Pacific Rim universe. The story is set in 2016, following a husband-and-wife Jaeger team, Duc and Kaori, weaving between their battle with a Kaiju, and how they first met.

Clifton Collins Jr. has always been one of my favorite actors to talk to, since we first spoke back in 2009. Naturally, I couldn't pass up the chance to chat with him recently about his role as Tendo Choi in director Guillermo del Toro's Pacific Rim. While Tendo is not one of the Jaeger pilots, his work as a Chinese-Peruvian member of the Pan Pacific Defense Corps. is crucial to the success of any Jaeger mission, and the diversely talented Clifton Collins Jr. shines once again in a very unique role.

There isn’t much entertainment out there for ladies of the geek persuasion — or to be more accurate, geek ladies and geek gentlemen attracted to other gentlemen. Well, at least there isn’t much marketed directly to us. But we all know the dirty little secret of being a geek lady in a predominately geek man’s world — there are a lot of hot guys in sci-fi movies. Pacific Rim, which opened yesterday, is no exception. Pacific Rim is in no way a perfect movie. It’s plagued with corny dialogue, underdeveloped characters, and a predictable, anticlimactic ending.

Director Guillermo del Toro's Pacific Rim is set to hit theaters this weekend, bringing the creature feature genre back to the big screen with stars such as Charlie Hunnam, Idris Elba, and Ron Perlman. While she doesn't quite have the name recognition of those previously-mentioned actors, Heather Doerksen (the "O" is silent) is looking to break out in a big way. No stranger to genre fare (Stargate: Atlantis, Battlestar Galactica, Fringe), Heather Doerksen plays Russian jaeger pilot Sasha Kaidanovsky, who teams up with the towering Robert Maillet to run Cherno Alpha. I recently had the chance to speak with this talented actress about her unique experience working with Guillermo del Toro and much more. Here's what she had to say.

Clothed in heavy armour, bleached hair slicked-back and jaw steeled for battle, Sasha Kaidanovsky climbs into a Russian Jaeger, massive fighting robots controlled by humans, and neurally linked with her co-pilot, does her part to help save humanity from the Kaiju sea creatures in Guillermo del Toro's sci-fi/adventure action flick Pacific Rim.

This is one tough chick who commands respect, if incites a fair amount of fear, and has the muscle to prove it; muscle that required Vancouver actress Heather Doerksen to step into the gym for only the second time in her life.

"They asked me to get buff for the role," she explains on the phone from her temporary homebase in L.A. "Prior to [that] I'd stepped foot in a gym once before. I think I did some StairMaster and I just left; I wasn't into it." [Laughs] "So I was in the gym every day for...

Four new photos have been released for Guillermo del Toro‘s upcoming sci-fi monster flick Pacific Rim. Most of the photos are from the set of the film and feature Idris Elba (The Wire, Thor) and Charlie Hunnam (Sons of Anarchy, Children of Men) in their robot pilot suits, sitting in a cockpit while talking to Guillermo del Toro.

Here’s the official synopsis for Pacific Rim:

When legions of monstrous creatures, known as Kaiju, started rising from the sea, a war began that would take millions of lives and consume humanity’s resources for years on end. Controversial director Uwe Boll is making headlines once more, but this time he isn't boxing critics or suing film festivals. Producer Bob Van Ronkel is suing the German director for $1 million, claiming his name was intentionally misspelled on the credits of In the Name of the King 2: Two Worlds.

The lawsuit alleges that Bob Van Ronkel's name was purposefully changed to "Rob Van Runkel," after the producer and director clashed over Bob Van Ronkel's producers fee. After his title was completely stripped from the film, a compromise was reached and he was given an associate producer credit, only to see his named misspelled during the end credits, which the producer claims Uwe Boll did on purpose. Bob Van Ronkel's name was also left off the DVD box art and other marketing materials. Here is an excerpt from the lawsuit, which was filed today in the Los Angeles Superior Court.

Inspired by a true story, this Lifetime Original Movie is the story of Samantha Horton (Jennifer Love Hewitt), a former Texas homecoming queen and physical therapist. When both she and her husband, Rex (Teddy Sears), are laid off from their jobs, Samantha accepts an offer to work at a massage studio in a nearby town, not realizing that the other staff members are actually prostitutes who service a clientele of wealthy and powerful businessmen. Eventually realizing what goes on behind closed doors, but desperate to provide for her family, Samantha goes along for the ride.
