The Pussycat Dolls, the girl group formed by Robin Antin in the mid-1990s which featured former “X Factor” judge Nicole Scherzinger, is suing British news outlet the Daily Mail over stories it ran in October 2017 claiming that the members were abused and that the group served as a “front for a prostitution ring.”

The allegations were made by a former backup singer named Kaya Jones, who was quoted extensively in an Oct. 17 article with the headline: “Exclusive: Defiant ex-Pussycat Doll Ms. Jones tells how top record exec sexually assaulted her in the back of his limo – one day after saying the band was more ‘prostitution ring’ than pop group.” In various articles related to the claims, she also asserts that the girls were “drugged” and that Antin was “responsible” for their treatment as well as the 2014 suicide death of Simone Battle, a member of girl group G.R.L.

Who’S It For? Regardless of the nationwide critical blitzkrieg that is about to be unleashed on Burlesque, there are still those who will see this anyway, and they can’t be stopped. Fine. But if you’re on the fence, or perhaps only a fan of Christina Aguilera and not Cher, go see Tangled and support Mandy Moore instead. As for those who enjoy bad movies, there’s great opportunity for unintentional comedy here. Enjoyable trash diving into Burlesque is not guaranteed, but it’s possible.

Nicole Scherzinger thinks everyone is The Pussycat Dolls. The singer is the only remaining original member of the group but insists she has no idea what the future holds for them, despite founder and manager Robin Antin recently hiring four new women to join Nicole.

"I don't know what's going on with that. There's always the speckles [speculations]," Nicole said when asked about the rest of the group being recast. "There's the Dolls from the lounge and Vegas and all that, so I'd say everyone is a Pussycat Doll actually."

Pussycat Dolls founder Robin Antin has at last revealed who will be joining Nicole Scherzinger in the group after the departure of three members early this year. On Saturday, Antin tweeted a photo of the new group.

The four new members are Kherington Payne from "So You Think You Can Dance"; former Lakers Girl Vanessa Curry; Rino Nakasone-Razalan, a former Harajuku Girl and member of "America's Best Dance Crew" runners-up Beat Freaks, and former Girlicious member Jamie Lee Ruiz. The Mission will serve 3,000 meals, provide Easter baskets with toys for children, and wash the feet of the homeless on Good Friday. Why feet washing? Easter Week foot washing is a Christian tradition – memorializing that Jesus washed the feet of his disciples the night before he was crucified. Many who are on the streets seldom have normal loving human contact – and this outreach of food, foot washing with podiatric care and new shoes is a way of inviting them to learn about the Mission’s services, including its long term program of restoration – in order to get off the streets permanently. The Los Angeles Christian Health Center uses this opportunity to address the foot problems suffered by many on the streets of Skid Row.

The Pussycat Dolls' creator Robin Antin is convinced the band will continue to thrive with a new line-up - insisting the departure of Kimberly Wyatt and Ashley Roberts won't impact the group's success. The famed choreographer created The Pussycat Dolls in 1995 as a burlesque dance troupe based in Los Angeles, with temporary members including Christina Applegate and Carmen Electra, and guest stars including Christina Aguilera.

The group was transformed into a band in 2003 when Nicole Scherzinger was hired as lead singer, and they launched their debut album in 2005. The band has been marred by line-up changes and rumors of tension between members over the years, and now just Scherzinger and Melody Thornton remain, following the departure of Jessica Sutta in January, and Ashley Roberts and Kimberly Wyatt in February.

Antin has announced they will be hiring new members to complete the line-up and she's convinced the changes will make the band stronger.
