Don't hang out poolside with any beautiful and mysterious women if you're behind on "The White Lotus." This article contains spoilers for season 3 episode 6, "Denials."
Mike White's globe-trotting anthology series "The White Lotus" always assembles a group of rich weirdos to play in whatever international sandbox White chooses for each season, and in the current third season, those rich weirdos are causing trouble in Thailand at one of the fictional White Lotus hotels. One major character in season 3, Chloe, isn't actually a guest; she actually lives nearby with her boyfriend Gary, played by Jon Gries. Chloe is played by Charlotte Le Bon, a French Canadian actress and model, but that character was originally played by Francesca Corney, a Thai actress known for the Apple TV+ series "The Buccaneers."
This recasting was announced in March of 2024, nearly a full year before the series premiered, and though Deadline couldn't confirm why Corney was replaced,...

It's no secret that HBO's dark comedy anthology series The White Lotus is one of the hottest shows currently on television. Everyone's talking about their theories surrounding the season 3 murder mystery and dissecting all of the cringiest moments from each episode. If we're not over analyzing the characters and plot twists, then we're meme-ing the funniest scenes, whether it's Leslie Bibb's condescending smile or Parker Posey's hilarious accent and one-liners.
The White Lotus has earned an age rating of TV-ma since its first season, which means that the series is intended to be watched by mature audiences only. It's unlikely that anyone was mixing this up with a children's show or allowing younger viewers to watch, but it's worth knowing what to expect from the series if young adults tune in or even just for yourself. Let's take a closer look at the age rating of season 3 with...

The following article contains mild spoilers for The White Lotus. One of the most popular shows by HBO in modern television faced a bit of backlash after its recent episode. The White Lotus is surely giving people something to talk about every Sunday evening, but after a gripping scene in Season 3, Episode 5, a renowned university has decided to speak out against the show. The scene in question involves a character with an eerie intention, and the university T-shirt he wears shows Duke University's branding.
As reported by Deadline, Duke University has officially released a statement denouncing the series' use of its merchandise in one of its very controversial scenes. The fifth episode sees Jason Isaacs' character, Timothy Ratliff, still hiding the truth about their financial downfall from his family. Actress Aimee Lou Wood, who is widely recognized for her work on Netflix’s Sex Education, just like everyone else, found herself being hypnotized by Mike White’s The White Lotus. The actress who earned praise for her role in Sex Education and earned a British Academy Television Award was keen on getting on The White Lotus. After sending a self-auditioning tape, she was called in to read for Chelsea.

The actress was instantly able to connect to her character, who is a working-class girl trying to enjoy a vacation in Thailand with her testy older boyfriend, played by Walton Goggins. The British actress has been appreciated for her work on the show and has recently urged fans to not go overboard to achieve a smile like hers.

What a difference a week makes.
As of March 19, neither Patrick Schwarzenegger nor Sam Nivola was predicted to land an Emmy nomination for the third season of The White Lotus., according to the official Gold Derby odds. But following last weekend's highly publicized storyline, in which their respective brother characters engaged in sexual activity while on an overnight trip, both have climbed dramatically in odds for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. Schwarzenegger (as alpha male Saxon Ratliff) has entered the top seven and Nivola (as introverted Lochlan Ratliff) is now in our top 15.
Does that mean incest is in?
Not necessarily. Schwarzenegger and Nivola's parallel ascension in the category could be nothing more than our Emmy pundits updating their predictions in the wake of an all-out media ambush by the two actors. Schwarzenegger and Nivola are absolutely everywhere right now — red carpets, talk shows, social media, industry panels...

Spoiler Alert: This piece discusses plot points from the first two episode of The White Lotus.
Up until Season 3 of The White Lotus, many assumed that an ingredient for the show’s separate island itinerary format was one connecting character from a previous season. Jennifer Coolidge, as Tanya McQuoid, appeared in back-to-back seasons, initially as a woman mourning her mother and then as an adventurous newlywed.
Natasha Rothwell’s Belinda Lindsey befriended Tanya in Season 1, and while Rothwell sat Season 2 out, she has brought Belinda back in full force to Thailand for Season 3. As Rothwell explained to Deadline ahead of episode one, Belinda is navigating the line between hotel guest and employee this season, as she is more of the former while learning from a group of the latter to broaden her own career knowledge and expertise.
What nobody saw coming was a character who could connect all three seasons...

Put down your tropical drink and don't go party with any strangers if you haven't watched "Denials," the sixth episode of season 3 of "The White Lotus." Spoilers ahead!
Okay, so ... two brothers totally hooked up on the third season of Mike White's international anthology series "The White Lotus." Saxon and Lochlan Ratliff, the older and younger brothers played respectively by Patrick Schwarzenegger and Sam Nivola, who are "on vacation" in Thailand with their on-screen family, including father Timothy (Jason Isaacs), mother Victoria (Parker Posey), and sister Piper (Sarah Catherine Hook), end up going to a party on a yacht in the season's fifth episode "Full-Moon Party," ready for a night of drinking and debauchery with Chloe (Charlotte Le Bon) and Chelsea (Aimee Lou Wood). Because Chelsea is devoted to her much older boyfriend Rick (Walton Goggins), she disappears when things get steamy, and in the following episode "Denials," we...

Jennifer Coolidge was, without question, the best part of the first two seasons of "The White Lotus" — and I'm not being hyperbolic, considering that she won two Emmys for the role. Her character, the eccentric and often selfish heiress Tanya McQuoid, visits both the Maui and Siciliy locations of the fictional hotel The White Lotus. Tanya eventually meets her untimely demise aboard a boat in Italy ... which is ironic, considering that she shoots her way out of an apparent murder plot and then dies by falling off said boat trying to jump into a dinghy.
Ever since Tanya died in the season 2 finale, fans of "The White Lotus" have speculated that Tanya's wayward husband Greg (Jon Gries) was somehow responsible for the initial murder plot, which involved Tom Hollander's Quentin and a boat full of, to paraphrase Tanya, "gays trying to kill her." Apparently, Coolidge herself agrees!

The White Lotus famed Sam Nivola is quite the hot topic among fans of the series these days. While his boyish good looks play a part in it, a bigger credit goes to his phenomenal performance as Lochlan Ratliff in the ongoing Season 3 of the blockbuster series.
Sam Nivola in The White Lotus | Credits: HBO
Inevitably, the past two episodes took things up a notch for him when the audience got to witness some sequences that left them shocked beyond belief.
However, probably not even their concerns about his character on screen can rival the anxiety he seems to be dealing with in fear of getting sued by HBO for violating an NDA contract for the series.

The White Lotus hit another viewership milestone with its latest episode, which proved to be quite a buzzy one.
The sixth episode of Season 3 drew 4.2M U.S. cross-platform viewers, eking out a win over the Season 2 finale, which previously held the series’ audience record with 4.1M.
It appears this season is on track to be the biggest one yet, as HBO says that episodes are pacing more than 5M viewers ahead of last season. Season 2 ultimately averaged around 15.5M U.S. viewers per episode.
On a global scale, HBO says that each Season 3 episode has hit a viewing high, though the company didn’t provide any numbers for viewership outside the U.S.
As mentioned, Sunday’s episode generated quite a bit of conversation on social media as well. The hashtag for the show was in the Top 10 trending topics on X for 10 consecutive hours in the U.S.

As “Adolescence” continues to ride its initial wave of success, Netflix has shared a video featuring clips from star Owen Cooper’s original auditions for the show.
A lot has been praised about “Adolescence” in the days since it premiered March 13. Its writing — namely, its fearless approach to exploring modern, online incel culture — has prompted plenty of acclaim and discussion, as has its one-take directorial style, which allows its four episodes to play out in impressive, unbroken takes. Few things, however, have blown “Adolescence” viewers away quite as much as the central performance given by Cooper.
The actor, at just 15-years-old, is commanding, terrifying and chilling as Jamie, the young boy whose arrest for the murder of a girl the same age kicks off the Netflix series. The actor is asked to do a lot in “Adolescence” and he rises to meet its various challenges, despite his young age and his inexperience with screen acting.

Spoiler Alert: This post contains details on The White Lotus Season 3, Episode 6.
Patrick Schwarzenegger’s Saxon and Sam Nivola’s Lochlan shared more than just a kiss on The White Lotus, and the vibes between the Ratliff brothers have entirely shifted.
The Ratliff brothers starred in one of the most shocking scenes of the latest season of the HBO drama as it takes on the taboo subject of incest and has the fictional characters questioning their decisions.
In the featurette following Episode 6, Nivola notes that although the series is set at a resort “focused on mindfulness,” on the flip side, the characters question “whether or not you can make peace with yourself and your demons.”
And it’s those demons that Saxon and Lochlan are fighting with on the morning after their sexual encounter. As the characters recuperate from the night of partying, they remember they shared more than a kiss.

The White Lotus opened the doors to its lavish Thai hotel resort on February 16, 2025, introducing a new cast of decadent tourists for Season 3. While plenty of polite first impressions gave way to passive-aggressive behavior and potential motives for murder, several characters have already shown themselves as potentially the worst of the bunch.
Of course, one appeal of The White Lotus is witnessing the humiliating fall of the narcissistic, ultra-wealthy elites who, despite vacationing in paradise, never feel satisfied or fulfilled. With a mysterious murder setting the table each season, the fun becomes playing detective, figuring out who will die and who the killer is. While there's still plenty to solve with the remaining episodes in Season 3, one White Lotus character is more suspicious than the others.

[Editor’s note: The following interview contains spoilers for “The White Lotus” Season 3, Episode 6, “Denials.”]
Over three unique iterations of Mike White’s “The White Lotus,” fans of the show have come to expect searing critiques of privilege coupled with deadpan humor that gets progressively less laughable as the season goes on. But nothing could have quite prepared audiences for how unfunny Season 3, which follows a group of guests at The White Lotus’ Thai outpost, suddenly became on Sunday night when Patrick Schwarzenegger and Sam Nivola’s Ratliff brothers consummated their unsettling onscreen flirtation.
In the role of older brother Saxon, Schwarzenegger gives a particularly affecting performance as a series of anxiety-producing flashbacks show a teenage Lochlan (Nivola) jerking off his sibling during a substance-fueled group hookup. These events come after weeks of White lulling viewers into a false sense of security with Parker Posey’s slurred one-liners and light satire around religion and politics, which only began to...

Daniel Fienberg: The past month has left little doubt that Mike White has that special sauce when it comes to giving TV audiences a show capable of providing and sustaining discourse. But I find it fascinating to see what people talk about when they talk about The White Lotus.
As always, there’s been chatter about the identity of the season’s inevitable casualty and the circumstances behind their death, which has never been a level on which White Lotus interested me. (I reserve the right to change my mind, of course, if the killer turns out to be a monkey.)
Then there have been fixations on North Carolina accents — who knew there was a suburban Durham accent that was different from the urban Durham accent — and Aimee Lou Wood’s teeth, proving that the White Lotus audience isn’t made up of Sex Education fans, or Oscar completists who sought out Living,...

As anyone who isn't a regressive dork can already attest, sex scenes are a necessary part of film and television, and the inclusion of sex scenes can also be the source of some of the most fascinating expressions of storytelling. Audiences can learn a lot about a character based on their relationship with sex and intimacy, and much can be gleaned from how sex and sexuality are used within the confines of the film or TV show's narrative. James Cameron's "Titanic" fundamentally does not work without the inclusion of Rose's sexual autonomy and passionate love shared with Jack on that fateful ship, and both "Game of Thrones" and "House of the Dragon" have been exploring the ways sexual exchanges double for political bargaining for over a decade.

This week’s episode of “The White Lotus” Season 3 begins with a bang, but not really.
Picking up not long after its predecessor, Tim (Jason Isaacs) promptly shoots himself in the head. The gunshot wakes Victoria (Parker Posey), whose screams over her husband’s body attract their daughter, Piper (Sarah Catherine Hook), who begins to scream and cry right alongside her mother. It is a viscerally upsetting moment, and a bit of a cheat on the part of “White Lotus” creator Mike White, who reveals that it is nothing more than a fantasy from a still suicidal Tim. Realizing the havoc his suicide would wreak, he decides to live for at least one more day and stashes the gun he stole from Gaitok (Tayme Thapthimthong) in a (very easy to find) cabinet drawer.
When he goes back to bed, Victoria assures him that Piper is going to get over her...

[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for The White Lotus Season 3 Episode 6, “Denials.”] Well, that happened. In The White Lotus‘ March 23 shocker, the brotherly love that’s been smoldering between the Ratliff boys went much further than the previous episode’s lip lock — which was done on a dare from Chelsea (Aimee Lou Wood) and Chloe (Charlotte Le Bon). Flashbacks to the rest of the drugged-out night on the yacht revealed that Saxon (Patrick Schwarzenegger) and younger sibling Lochlan (Sam Nivola) had a sexual encounter — while Locky was losing his virginity to Chloe. Nivola reflected on why Lochlan would do something so taboo. “Lochlan is a really insecure character, and he just wants to do whatever he can to get in anyone’s good books,” Nivola tells TV Insider in the video interview, above. “He’s a people pleaser. And [with] Saxon, I feel like [Lochlan’s] just like, ‘I want to just go along with whatever you’re doing.

Spoiler Alert: This story contains spoilers for Season 3, Episode 6 of “The White Lotus,” now streaming on Max.
In Season 1 of “The White Lotus,” Murray Bartlett’s spiraling hotel manager Armond is caught with his face between his much younger employee’s asscheeks. And in Season 2, Jennifer Coolidge’s Tanya spots her assistant’s beau Jack (Leo Woodall) plowing his purported uncle, Quentin (Tom Hollander).
That turned out not to be incest — Quentin hired Jack to pretend to be his nephew as part of Greg’s (Jon Gries) scheme to kill Tanya and inherit her money — but creator Mike White went even further for Season 3 of his HBO vacation dramedy.
In last week’s episode, brothers Lochlan (Sam Nivola) and Saxon (Patrick Schwarzenegger) went out partying with Chloe (Charlotte Le Bon) and Chelsea (Aimee Lou Wood), popping pills, pounding shots and taking Greg’s yacht for a joy ride. After their island escapades,...

Don't board that random yacht for a full-moon party in Thailand if you're not up to speed on "The White Lotus." Spoilers lie ahead for season 3, episode 6, "Denials."
When "The White Lotus" season 3, episode 6 catches up with the Ratliff brothers Saxon (Patrick Schwarzenegger) and Lochlan (Sam Nivola), the siblings are deeply hungover after a night of partying with Chelsea (Aimee Lou Wood) and Chloe (Charlotte Le Bon). After boarding a yacht owned by Greg Hunt, who's currently going by "Gary" and cavorting around Thailand with Chloe, the two brothers proceed to ingest pills and get drunk with the two young women, and that's when things ... escalate, to put it ever-so-mildly.
Chloe sleeps with both Ratliff brothers in turn, but while she's getting hot and heavy with Lochlan, Saxon sticks around and starts pleasuring himself while his little brother and Chloe are in the next bed over. Not only that, but...

Part of what makes HBO's "The White Lotus" such an appealing anthology series (although the "anthology" label is debatable at this point) is the fact that with each season, viewers get a chance to experience the externally luxurious yet emotionally laborious vacations of a different group of characters portrayed by an inspired collection of actors. In particular, character actors tend to steal the show with their dynamic roles, often showcasing a range of emotions that can leave someone laughing themselves silly in one scene or feeling intense intimidation by them in the next. With season 3 more than halfway completed, one of the absolute standouts enduring their stay at the White Lotus wellness resort in Thailand is the mysterious Rick Hatchett, played by Walton Goggins.
Goggins' performance thus far in "The White Lotus" season 3 is yet another showcase of his broad range as a character actor. Upon his introduction in the first episode,...

It turns out the Ratliffs weren’t the only guests on The White Lotus who turned to Bravo-lebrities in preparation for their roles in Season 3 of the HBO series.
In addition to finding inspiration in “some part of Rachel Zoe, like that world,” Leslie Bibb revealed that she also consumed the Real Housewives franchise while playing Texas housewife Kate Bohr in Mike White‘s anthology series.
“I was watching The Real Housewives always before scenes,” she said on Watch What Happens Live.
“Sometimes I’d just watch it and I just see what seeps in. That sounds crazy. And then I don’t even know what’s permeating.”
Bibb noted “a lot of Beverly Hills was happening, and that felt in the right world. Maybe a little Oc. Maybe there’s a little Heather Dubrow in her.”

One of the most popular new shows on television is definitely The White Lotus, and it is also one of HBO's biggest hits in years. Nobody could have guessed that Mike White had a storytelling gem up his sleeve and ever since the first season premiered in 2021, fans have been eagerly anticipating each new season that comes out. With its anthology format, The White Lotus has allowed for a lot of flexibility in terms of its casting. Many notable stars have either led the cast or showed up in cameo roles over the course of the first three seasons. In the most recent season, the cast is led by iconic film and TV stars such as Walton Goggins, Michelle Monaghan and Jason Issacs, among others.
Walton Goggins' character, in particular, has had the most intriguing mystery element to his story arc, and it is beginning to pay off in later episodes of the season.

Jason Isaacs has rescinded some of his previous comments about nudity in Hollywood and in the latest season of The White Lotus after claiming there is a "double standard" to the way actors and actresses are asked about nude scenes. Isaacs is part of the star-studded cast of The White Lotus' third season, which also includes Walton Goggins, Carrie Coon, Leslie Bibb, Michelle Monaghan, and Aimee Lou Wood. In episode 4, Jason caused quite a shock when he revealed his Isaacs in a scene. Expectedly, the actor was asked about the moment a lot by journalists, and he recently apologized for how "poorly" he brushed off the questions.
During an interview with Variety, Isaacs reflected on his previous comments about the double standard towards male and female nudity in movies and on TV. "I said the wrong words in the wrong way," the actor said. "I used the phrase ‘double standard,...

Warning: The following contains spoilers for The White Lotus season 3, episode 5, "Full Moon Party."
The White Lotus star Charlotte Le Bon reveals how Saxon's actor, Patrick Schwarzenegger, reacted to the incestuous kiss between Saxon and Lochlan Ratliff (Sam Nivola). The kiss occurs when the two brothers are invited to the full moon party by Chelsea (Aimee Lou Wood) and Chloe (Le Bon) in The White Lotus season 3, episode 5. During the intoxicated after-party, Chloe, who bonded with Chelsea earlier in the season over their shared experience of dating older men, challenges the brothers to a kiss.
In an interview with Vulture, Le Bon discussed the kiss. While Schwarzenegger and Nivola play brothers in the series, they are not related in real life, so it made the scene easier to film. However, she shared that although filming the scene didn't trouble Nivola, it was difficult for Schwarzenegger, whose"genuine reaction" was...

One of the executive producers of The White Lotus, David Bernad, is speaking to that incest storyline.
If you didn’t see the scene in question, after the Full Moon Party in season 3, episode 5, Chloe (Charlotte Le Bon) and Chelsea (Aimee Lou Wood), along with brothers Saxon (Patrick Schwarzenegger) and Lochlan (Sam Nivola), hang out on Greg’s yacht. At one point, Saxon tells the women to kiss, and then they expect the brothers to do the same. After Saxon and Lochy share a little peck, Lochlan goes in for a much longer kiss, which appears to disorient and confuse Saxon.
Now, David was asked if there was any discussions that this scene – and perhaps future scenes – were taking it too far.
Keep reading to find out more…

Why is it always HBO? The network promises great things with its shows, only to fumble after a few seasons. Mike White’s The White Lotus began as a hilarious mirror to the rich American life as they go on vacation and live in luxury hotels but in season 3, the showrunner seems to stray from the Usp of the series.
The latest season of the dark comedy is more dark than comedy and it is alienating some of the hardcore fans of the show. The White Lotus is an anthology series, with each season setting up different characters in a different branch of the eponymous luxury chain. However, there are no Tanyas or Armonds to give some much-needed laughs this time.

‘The White Lotus’ cast on the ‘brilliant,’ ‘beautiful’ Sam Rockwell appearance: ‘Give him the Emmy!’
Warning: This post contains spoilers for episode five of The White Lotus.
The White Lotus saved one of its biggest casting reveals for its sojourn to Bangkok.
During Sunday’s fifth episode, Oscar-winning star Sam Rockwell made an unforgettable appearance as Frank, the longtime friend of Rick (Walton Goggins), who reconnects with the troubled traveler as Rick seeks vengeance on the man Rick believes killed his father. Now sober, Frank shares with Rick his experiences in Thailand, including the fresh perspective he has gotten about his sexuality. The lengthy monologue already has several The White Lotus fans calling for Rockwell to earn his first Emmy Award as a guest actor in a drama series.

Note: This story contains spoilers from “The White Lotus” Season 3, Episode 5.
While some viewers found the first four episodes of “The White Lotus” Season 3 on the slower side, Mike White’s anthology series ramped up with an explosive Episode 5, that took the season exactly where some fans were thinking.
After much of the guests spent their day on Greg/Gary’s yacht in Episode 4, Episode 5 sees the group filter off, with brothers Saxon (Patrick Schwarzenegger) and Lochlan (Sam Nivola) heading to the full moon party with Chelsea (Aimee Lou Wood) and Chloe (Charlotte Le Bon), whose boyfriends have both chosen not to join in on the festivities.
After a fair amount of drinking and some drugs — which some fans found reminiscent of HBO’s “Euphoria” — the group took turns kissing each other — including brothers Saxon and Lochlan, sending social media into a frenzy.

This post contains spoilers from The White Lotus season 3 episode 5 from this point forward.
Where do we even begin after an episode like That? The White Lotus season 3 episode 5 really went there after teasing some odd sexual tension between two particular characters since the very first episode. Of course, we're talking about the incestuous kiss everyone is talking about, another unexpected surprise out of the Ratliff family after last week's cringe-inducing full-frontal moment.
The new episode found most of the characters getting up to no good under a full moon, bringing forth possibly the most fast-paced episode of the season so far. From kisses to an Academy Award winner making a cameo that we won't soon forget, "Full-Moon Party" delivered everything The White Lotus has become known for and then some (emphasis on "and then some").
If your head's also still spinning from The White Lotus season 3 episode 5, let's dive right into what went down,...

Everyone has heard the narrative principle of Chekhov’s gun — that a weapon shown in a story must eventually be used.
Well, the latest episode of HBO’s White Lotus finally fired its Chekhov’s incest kiss.
The Emmy-winning drama anthology introduced the idea of an incest storyline in its third season premiere when Lochlan (Sam Nivola) ogled his nude older brother, Saxon (Patrick Schwarzenegger).
Sunday’s fifth episode set in Thailand showed Lochlan making out (clip below) with a confused-looking Saxon while the brothers were partying with Chelsea (Aimee Lou Wood) and Chloe (Charlotte Le Bon) on a yacht. Their intimacy was teased at several points during the episode, as Lochlan and Saxon grew more affectionate as they drank and took a street drug.
The reaction among fans has been volcanic: “Oh My God, did The White Lotus just go There? … Incest vibes, drugs, and a full-moon party from hell.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for The White Lotus Season 3 Episode 5, “Full-Moon Party.”] The White Lotus finally went there in its latest episode after heavily hinting at odd incest vibes between Ratliff brothers Saxon (Patrick Schwarzenegger) and Lochlan (Sam Nivola) as the pair share a kiss on Gary’s (Jon Gries) yacht, celebrating the Full-Moon Party with Chloe (Charlotte Le Bon) and Chelsea (Aimee Lou Wood). As viewers will recall, in the premiere episode, Saxon made several uncomfortable sexual comments throughout, telling Lochlan it was weird to share a room with their sister Piper (Sarah Catherine Hook) since they’re both adults now, implying something could happen between them. But by the premiere installment’s end, Saxon was asking Lochlan what kind of porn he watches and sleeping in the nude around his brother, which is far from normal… HBO After attending a party aboard Gary’s yacht in Episode 4 with their family, including parents Victoria...

It was only a matter of time.
This season of “The White Lotus” has so far been relatively tame in terms of sex, drugs, violence and overall debauchery. Mention of a party in last week’s episode implied an incoming shift, though, and “The White Lotus” Season 3, Episode 5 delivers on that promise. It is an episode full of reckless partying, lust and more than a few cringe-inducing moments of impulsive degeneracy. Amid all of the chaos, “White Lotus” creator Mike White returns to some of the HBO drama’s long-running themes — namely, the difficulty of cultural assimilation and the unfortunate truth that no amount of wealth or uninhibited living can fill the empty parts within ourselves. The former theme emerges early in the episode.
At dinner, Piper (Sarah Catherine Hook) finally tells her parents about her plan to move to Thailand. Victoria (Parker Posey) reacts poorly, responding to her daughter...

[This story contains spoilers from The White Lotus season three, episode five, “Full-Moon Party.”]
There ain’t no party like a White Lotus party, and it ain’t a White Lotus party without sex, drugs, and… wait a minute, did he just kiss his brother?
If viewers thought the season three premiere’s suggestive scene between brothers Saxon (Patrick Schwarzenegger) and Lochlan (Sam Nivola) was controversial, episode five took things to another level as every single character on The White Lotus partied hard — or, in the case of surprise cast member Sam Rockwell, stopped partying all together.
It says a lot that Rockwell’s arrival on the show as a recovering-sex-addict-turned-Buddhist isn’t the most stunning moment of the evening. Perhaps it shouldn’t be all that surprising, considering Rockwell is married to Leslie Bibb, who stars this season as Trump voter Kate. But the content of Rockwell’s role is certainly shocking, given what he tells old pal Rick (Walton Goggins) about his time in Thailand,...

Spoiler Alert: This piece discusses plot points from the fifth episode of The White Lotus.
The White Lotus is in its full moon party era and “sh*t’s about to get crazy”, according to Patrick Schwarzenegger’s Saxon.
The fifth episode of the HBO series’ third season is pure hedonism as Saxon, Sam Nivola’s Lochlan, Aimee Lou Wood’s Chelsea and Charlotte Le Bob’s Chloe head to the beach with some mind-altering substances and Michelle Monaghan’s Jaclyn, Leslie Bibb’s Kate and Carrie Coon’s Laurie bring some men back to theirs for a pool party.
There is, however, a dark side to the frivolity as Jason Isaacs’ Timothy struggles to deal with the fallout of his legal problems, not helped by the fact that he stole Tayme Thapthimthong’s Gaitok’s gun, and Walton Goggins’ Rick is in Bangkok looking for the man who killed his father,...

Aimee Lou Wood, who stars in the third season of The White Lotus, has addressed the attention surrounding her appearance, particularly her teeth. The British actress noted that while she can perfect an American accent, her teeth always give away her nationality.
Wood shared with The Sun that show creator Mike White originally allowed her to audition with both an American and her natural Manchester accent. White preferred her authentic voice for the role of Chelsea, the much younger partner of Rick, played by Walton Goggins. “I can do an American accent. But Mike just wanted my Manchester one,” she said.
While discussing the distinction between British and American actors, Wood remarked that her teeth often reveal her heritage. “No Americans have my teeth,” she said. “I think that genuinely is one of the things.” She recalled a past performance in Chicago where an audience member immediately recognized she was not American,...

British actress Aimee Lou Wood, who stars in the third season of The White Lotus currently airing on HBO, says she may be able to pull off a perfect US accent, but nobody ever mistakes her for American due to her teeth.
Wood told The Sun newspaper the show’s creator Mike White wanted her to stick with her northern English tones for the show in which she plays Chelsea, the much younger lover of Rick, played by Walton Goggins.
She said: “I can do an American accent. But Mike just wanted my Manchester one. I did one tape in American and one in my own. And he said, ‘Let’s do Manchester.’”
She added nobody would ever mistake her for an American, sharing:
“It’s the teeth! No Americans have my teeth. I think that genuinely is one of the things.

There’s new stills from The White Lotus season 3, episode 5.
We’re breaking down little clues we see within the photos to see if any new theories pop up!
The all-new episode airs this Sunday (March 16) on HBO.
Keep reading to find out more…
A few things we’re noting: It looks like Aimee Lou Wood‘s Chelsea is on the phone, presumably trying to call her boyfriend Rick (Walton Goggins), who has headed to Bangkok in search of answers about his deceased father. There are no stills from HBO of Walton‘s Rick within episode 5, so it’s either a light Rick episode, or there may be big spoilers to come.
Another notable few stills look like the Ratliff sons – Lochlan and Saxon – are partying with Chelsea and Charlotte Le Bon‘s Chloe. There’s a still where Chloe is laying back with red mood lighting. Perhaps her flirtation...

Editor's Note: The following contains spoilers for The White Lotus Season 3, Episode 4.The White Lotushas no shortage of despicable characters. In fact, each new season introduces another round of characters, most of whom are self-centered, problematic, creepy, or just generally unlikable — though there are always some you can root for. Season 3 is no different as the anthology series takes audiences to Thailand, where the resort functions primarily as a wellness spa. The characters fall into some of the same categories as previous seasons as the Ratliffs serve as the dysfunctional family, Belinda (Natasha Rothwell) is the character audiences sympathize with, and, of course, Chelsea (Aimee Lou Wood) and Rick (Walton Goggins) are the couple whose relationship isn't exactly ideal. However, in each case, there is a new twist, especially with Rick and Chelsea, who, unlike Season 2's couples, don't seem to be in a rough patch, though they certainly bicker.

Quick LinksThe First Three Episodes of The White Lotus Season 3 Kept Rick's Motivation a Complete MysteryWhy Did Rick Really Go to Thailand With Chelsea?Where Could Rick's Story Possibly Go From Here?
The third season of HBO's The White Lotus has introduced an entirely new cast of characters, and viewers are finding themselves just as, if not more, invested in their developments and exploits as those of the previous two seasons. One guest at the resort that many fans are currently seeing themselves drawn to the most is Rick Hatchett, played by Walton Goggins. Until now, not much had been known about his character or his true reasoning for dragging his girlfriend, Chelsea, to the White Lotus resort in Thailand. Episode 4, "Hide and Seek", has finally given them an answer, however, and it now has the fans all on the edge of their seats to find out what it could lead to next.
