If Netflix's regency drama Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story has made anything abundantly clear, it is that Lady Agatha Danbury (Arsema Thomas) is an absolute force to be reckoned with. Although much of the story of Queen Charlotte is centered around the tale of Princess Charlotte (India Amarteifio) and King George's (Corey Mylchreest) magnificent romance, there is a special portion of the tale that has been preserved to explore Agatha's life. One particular aspect is her sensual awakening following the death of her husband and amongst her romances was one shared with Lord Ledger (Keir Charles). As the regal drama graces screens, Netflix has shared a snippet of Thomas and Charles setting the dance floor ablaze.

Queen Charlotte's biggest unanswered question is simple: what happened to Reynolds, and why is he missing by the time of Bridgerton? Bridgerton's wonderful spin-off introduced two of the Shondaland universe's best romances, but in doing so set up tragic ends for both of them. Not only is Charlotte and George's romance defined by profound trauma, but the secret love affair between the Queen's right-hand man, Brimsley (Sam Clemmett), and the king's man Reynolds (Freddie Dennis) is as beautiful as it is seemingly doomed. Provisionally titled Cash Mountain, it involves players doubling their money with each correct answer on their way to the summit. Concerned that the concept’s too old-fashioned, a Birmingham accent comically suggests, “We could set it on an actual mountain. Like, a little one? Wales?”

What first attracted you to the role of Emma in Across the River?

Well the unique thing about Across The River is that it was completely improvised – I had done some improvisation before but nothing on this scale so that was definitely a draw. It is very rare you get this kind of opportunity and it was one I couldn’t let slip by. And I found I really loved working this way – it was a totally collaborative process from beginning to end and was a fabulously creative project to be involved in.
