Rapper Megan Thee Stallion, born Megan Pete, has been sued by her former cameraman, Emilio Garcia, claiming that Megan Thee Stallion created a hostile work environment and subjected him to harassment while they worked together.

According to court documents, Garcia recounted an incident in Ibiza, Spain, while on tour with the rapper in 2022. Garcia alleged that after a night out, he, Megan Thee Stallion and three other women were traveling together in an SUV when the rapper and one of the women engaged in a sexual act right beside him.

Unable to exit the vehicle in an unfamiliar country, Garcia states that he felt embarrassed, mortified and offended throughout the ordeal. The cameraman asserted that the singer later instructed him not to discuss what he had witnessed and proceeded to make fat-shaming comments towards him, referred to him as a “Fat B—-” and told him he didn’t need to eat.

A cameraman who formerly worked with Megan Thee Stallion has filed a lawsuit against the rapper alleging harassment and other workplace-related claims.

Emilio Garcia worked as a cameraman for the rapper from 2018-23. He filed a complaint in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Tuesday against Megan Thee Stallion, born Megan Pete, and her companies, Megan Thee Stallion Entertainment Inc., Hot Girl Touring LLC and Roc Nation. The suit includes nine labor code violations, including harassment and hostile work environments.

Garcia alleges that Stallion had sex in a moving car that Garcia could not get out of while on tour in Spain in June 2022. The claim notes that Garcia “was embarrassed, mortified and offended throughout the whole ordeal.”

The day after the incident, the suit continues, Stallion asked whether Garcia had been in the car, and when he confirmed he was, she allegedly told him, “Don’t ever discuss what you saw.

It was actress Jameela Jamil who was responsible for bringing Megan Thee Stallion onto the screen for a brief cameo in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. Stallion played herself in the series and even shared some dance moves with lead actress Tatiana Maslany. While the executive producers of the show believed Stallion’s scene to be one of the “most important” ones in the MCU, it may turn out to be the franchise’s biggest regret.

In a nine-claim complaint filed today in Los Angeles Superior Court, Emilio Garcia is accusing Megan Pete (Thee Stallion’s real name), her own company, her Hot Girl Touring and the Jay-Z founded entertainment platform of underpaying him, misclassifying him and causing “severe emotional distress and anxiety” due to overwork almost since the moment he started working for the “Plan” B singer in July 2018 (read the whole complaint here).

Videographer Emilio Garcia claims that he was forced to watch Megan have intimate relations with another woman while they were in Spain for a tour stop. The alleged incident happened in a moving vehicle that he was unable to escape, he claims.

“I felt uncomfortable,” he told NBC News. “I was kind of frozen, and I was shocked. At kind of just the overall audacity to do this right, right beside me.”
