Vice Sports' hit docueseries Dark Side of the Ring returns with 10 new episodes making up its sixth season. Ahead of the Season 6 premiere on March 26, all 10 episode subjects were confirmed with a pair of official posters.

Shared on X, the posters reveal the order of the subjects that will be covered in Season 6 of Dark Side of the Ring. The season will kick off with Mick Foley's famous Hell in a Cell match with Undertaker, which saw the former risking great bodily harm by getting thrown from the top of a steel cage through a table onto the concrete below. New episodes will be released every Tuesday at 10 p.m. following the premiere on March 26. The posters can be viewed below.

The cast of the Prison Break reboot continues to grow, and Deadline reports that Clayton Cardenas (Mayor of Kingstown), Jr Bourne (Teenwolf), Georgie Flores (Into The Dark), and Myles Bullock (Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist) have joined as series regulars.

Cardenas and Bourne were both main cast members on Mayans M.C., so this will be something of a reunion as the Prison Break reboot pilot is being written and executive-produced by Mayans M.C. co-creator Elgin James. Cardenas will play Ghost, a “ruthlessly dangerous inmate at one of the deadliest prisons in America.” Bourne will play Junior, a “mentally unstable lone survivor of a decades-old prison break that devasted the town.” Bullock will play Darius ‘Red’ Lewis, an inmate. Flores will play Andrea, a “female cadet training to be a Corrections Officer.“

Former pro wrestler Mike Jones of WWE and WCW fame has passed away.

Mike Jones, best known to wrestling fans for his run as Virgil in WWE (then WWF), died on Wednesday, per WrestleZone. The wrestler had recently been hospitalized amid ongoing health issues following a dementia diagnosis in 2022. He'd also suffered two minor strokes, and a social media post in 2022 stated he had stage 2 colon cancer. Jones was 61 years old.

“My dear friends, it is with great sorrow that I bring news from the Jones family of the passing of our beloved Michael Jones, whom we know and loved as Virgil, Vincent, Soul Train Jones and more,” pro wrestling referee Mark Charles III said of the news when announcing Jones' death on social media. “Virgil passed peacefully at the hospital this morning and I ask that you pray for him and for his family. Endeavor’s publicly traded Tko Group has named Dwayne Johnson to its board of directors, effective today. The WWE superstar has also secured full ownership of the trademarked name The Rock.

Tko is the parent company of WWE and UFC.

The name The Rock is derived from his father, WWE Hall of Famer Rocky Johnson, who was the first Black champion in WWE history (alongside partner Tony Atlas). Johnson’s grandfather, Peter Maivia, a Samoan-American professional wrestler, was posthumously inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2008.

Rock and WWE have inked a merchandising agreement that provides for promotion, licensing, and other services.

“I am thrilled to partner with Dwayne and welcome his immense talent to Tko’s Board. Dwayne brings an incredible track record of creating content and building globally recognized consumer brands, and he will play a key role in realizing our ambitions for Tko,” said Tko (and Endeavor) CEO Ariel Emanuel.

The Rock is officially back in business with the WWE.

It's a bird! It's a plane! It's a new Superman movie - maybe! A "Man of Steel" sequel is in the works at Warner Bros. Discovery, according to The Hollywood Reporter. In an Oct. 17 article discussing the company's plans for the DC Comics Universe on screen going forward, the outlet revealed that the company has an "intense desire" to bring back Henry Cavill as Superman in a project that would "essentially be 'Man of Steel 2.'" The movie is being produced by Charles Roven and currently looking for a writer. Popsugar reached out to Warner Bros. Discovery for comment but did not immediately hear back.

Cavill debuted as Superman, aka Clark Kent, in 2013's "Man of Steel," the only solo film for his version of the character. He reprised the role officially in 2016's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," 2017's "Justice League," and 2021's "Zack Snyder's Justice League.

The former WWE superstar recently announced the cast for his upcoming NBC comedy series on social media.

'Young Rock' which is inspired by the earlier life of Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock, reportedly received a straight-to-series order by NBC in January this year.

The series follows Johnson's childhood "from growing up in a strong and resilient family, to being surrounded by the wild characters of his professional wrestling family, to playing football at Miami University. It will explore the rollercoaster that has shaped Johnson into the man he is today and the larger-than-life characters he's met along the way," reports Variety.

Dwayne Johnson announced the cast sharing a series of Instagram posts on Wednesday. The post shows the actors that have been selected to portray younger versions of himself and his family members on the upcoming sitcom.

Dwayne Johnson has posted a heartfelt tribute to his late father, professional wrestling hall of famer Rocky Johnson. “You broke color barriers, became a ring legend and trail blazed your way thru this world,” The Rock wrote on Instagram before offering a poignant hope: “I want you to rest your trailblazing soul, Soulman.”

The W.W.E. announced Rocky Johnson’s death Wednesday, with no cause given. He was 75.

“Dad, I wish I had one more shot to tell you, I love you, before you crossed over to the other side,” Johnson, 47, said in a moving tribute on Instagram Friday. “But you were ripped away from me so fast without warning. Dwayne Johnson’s father, retired WWE wrestler Rocky Johnson, is set to be the subject of a new biopic from indie filmmakers Jonathan and Justin Gajewski.

The Canadian Gajewski twins will produce the biopic after optioning the rights to tell the story behind the Canadian Wrestler who retired in 1991. “We are very excited to bring Rocky Johnson’s incredible story to the world,” said the filmmakers in a statement. The duo are also writing the screenplay for Ring King.

During his wrestling career, he became a National Wrestling Alliance (Nwa) Georgia Champion and an Nwa Southern Heavyweight Memphis Champion, as well as winning many other championships. WrestleMania is the biggest payday of the year and it’s a show where they try to get as many people on as possible so that even some of the lowest-ranking folks can earn some big money.

It can take many forms, from ten-man tag matches, Fatal 4-Ways, Money in the Bank, or even just tossing in a bunch of pointless singles matches featuring guys who aren’t even feuding.

The month of February is Black History Month and like usual, World Wrestling Entertainment will honor their performers throughout the month. We saw on Raw that they honored WWE Hall of Famer Ernie Ladd, who was a star in the NFL before his WWE career.

There are many great black wrestlers in the history of wrestling and more specifically WWE, who helped pave the way for the stars of today.

The current WWE roster has a lot of talented black performers like Big E Langston, Kofi Kingston, Titus O’Neil, Darren Young and more that look up to the men on this list and hope to one day follow in their Hall of Fame footsteps.
