Tell Me Lies is a brilliantly written drama about a toxic couple created by Meaghan Oppenheimer. Based on a 2018 novel of the same name by author Carola Lovering, the series revolves around the toxic relationship between Lucy (Grace Van Patten) and Stephen (Jackson White), two college sweethearts whose relationship never quite gets on the right track, and after some time they find it hard to keep all the pieces together. So, if you loved the toxic relationship, steamy scenes, and a ton of drama in Tell Me Lies here are some similar shows you should check out next.

Gold Derby can exclusively reveal that Gary Oldman is entering the “Slow Horses” episode “Footprints” as his 2024 Emmy Award submission for Best Drama Actor. “Footprints” aired on December 27, 2023, and is the sixth and final episode of the Apple TV+ drama’s third season.
In “Footprints”: Hobbs (Chris Coghill) and Sturges (Nick Blood) storm the Dunn house, however are outmaneuvered by Lamb (Oldman), who rigs the house with booby traps. Sarah (Eliot Salt) strangles Sturges to death after a brief struggle, while Lamb kills Hobbs. Donovan (Sope Dirisu) sacrifices himself to allow River (Jack Lowden) and Guy (Rosalind Eleazar) to escape the file storage facility with the “Footprint” file. Lamb tells Standish (Saskia Reeves) that her hero, Charles Partner (James Faulkner), was a traitor who was using her, leading a devastated Standish to resign from Slough House. “Comply Slowly” was written by Will Smith and directed by Saul Metzstein.

Blood Witches are not considered "magical beings" like Fairies, as they gain their powers through unnatural means, specifically human sacrifice and blood manipulation. Blood Witches have the ability to control people by manipulating their blood, giving them complete control over a person's body and the ability to heal or harm them. Blood Witches and Fairies have been in conflict for over a millennium, with both groups harboring intense hatred and distrust towards each other. Blood Witches can steal Fairies' magic and have similar physical attributes to them, but their ultimate goal is to bring back their dead loved ones.

With the unfortunate cancelation of Fate: The Winx Saga, fans are left wondering what might have happened in the Season 3 that will never be. Season 1 had a noticeable lack of fan-favorite fairy, Flora (Paulina Chávez), who was seemingly replaced by original character Terra (Eliot Salt), as both have earth-based magical powers. With only a brief mention of Flora’s name, it seemed like she had been written out of the series altogether. But Season 2 of the adaptation gave viewers what they craved when Flora was finally introduced.

Netflix officially pulled the plug on Fate: The Winx Saga after two seasons earlier this week.
However, the franchise may not be dead yet.
Winx franchise creator Iginio Straffi revealed this week that the Netflix cancellation "is for a bigger reason."
“Fate has been an exciting adventure, a great achievement, and a hit watched by millions globally, re-confirming the power of the Winx world,” Straffi shared on Instagram.
“I am working on many exciting Winx projects in the near future, some of which I take so much joy in sharing with you.”
One of those projects is a "brand new CG Winx animated series reboot," which is set to go into production soon.
The creator promises the show will "sweep you back to the Winx world."
If that wasn't enough Winx goodness, Straffi said that a "big budget Winx movie" is in the works.

Netflix has swung the axe on a chart-topping series despite the previous season ending on a cliffhanger.
The latest show to fall victim to the service’s brutal cancellation decisions is Fate: The Winx Saga.
Netflix released the series in 2021, hoping it would be another huge cultural hit in a similar way to Stranger Things and Bridgerton.
Despite receiving enough streams to send it to the top of the charts in several countries around the world, Netflix was unable to see a future for the series.
Showrunner Brian Young announced the news, writing on Instagram: “This is not fun news to share, but Netflix [has] decided not to move forward with season three of Fate: The Winx Saga. This is especially tough because I know how many of you loved this season. It’s a heartbreaking silver lining, but a silver lining all the same.”
He added: “It’s been an amazing four years.

For better or worse, Hollywood's nostalgia-mining tendencies come for us all. For fans of the Nickelodeon animated series "Winx Club," this was both a blessing and a curse: when the Netflix adaptation "Fate: The Winx Saga" arrived in 2021, it brought the beloved faeries back to screens. But it also received a very mixed reception.
Like so many of the gritty live-action adaptations being forced down our throats, "Fate: The Winx Saga" was after an entirely new audience. Rather than emulating the source material, this series targets older teens, shedding colorful whimsy for a dark fantasy aesthetic. Between the entirely new vibe and the many altered/missing characters, not all fans were pleased when the series first arrived. But this September, the sophomore season brought along some reason for hope. With its second outing, "Fate: The Winx Saga" seemed to incorporate much of that fan feedback — adding in some sorely missed...

Netflix’s Fate: The Winx Saga, a live-action adaptation of the animated Winx Club series by Iginio Straffi, follows 16-year-old Bloom Peters (Abigail Cowen) as she heads to the Alfea College for fairies in the Otherworld dimension after her uncontrollable powers cause a near-death experience with her parents in the human world. Upon her arrival, Bloom is assigned to the Winx suite with fellow fairies and members of the Winx Club: Stella (Hannah van der Westhuysen), Terra (Eliot Salt), Musa (Elisha Applebaum), and Aisha (Precious Mustapha). In the second season, they are joined by Terra’s cousin Flora (Paulina Chávez). While at Alfea, the goal is for the fairies to expand their magic and their minds, practicing their fairy magic until they are forces of nature — literally — and have the power to defeat even the fiercest of foes.

When Abigail Cowen first read the script for Netflix’s “Fate: The Winx Saga,” she knew it was special. The show involved teenage fairies, attending a private boarding school. But while the series had that magic supernatural twist, its group of high schoolers had relatable insecurities and struggles with growing up and finding who you are.

Welcome back to Alfea, fairies. It has been quite a long time since we were last with the fairies of the Otherworld, and a lot has changed for Bloom (Abigail Cowen), Stella (Hannah van der Westhuysen), Terra (Eliot Salt), Aisha (Precious Mustapha), and Musa (Elisha Applebaum) on Fate: The Winx Saga Season 2. The school is now under new leadership, which certainly shows inasmuch as just about everything is now incredibly different than when Headmistress Dowling (Eve Best) was in charge. This time, however, the girls are joined by newcomer Flora (Paulina Chávez), Terra’s cousin who has returned to Alfea following some time away. After wholeheartedly enjoying the absolute chaos of the first season, even as a huge fan of the original series by Iginio Straffi, the second season left me with very mixed feelings. This is nothing like we witnessed before… and that’s not necessarily a good thing...

Fate: The Winx Saga still has plenty of magic up its sleeve. On season two of the Netflix teen drama, more magical mischief is afoot—and a very important character is along for the ride. If you've been craving more supernatural dramas since "Chilling Adventures of Sabrina" ended, Netflix's series "Fate: The Winx Saga" is here to satisfy your binge-watching needs. The first season premiered on Jan. 22, 2021, and it's filled with tons of drama, magic, and mystery. On Feb. 18, 2021, Netflix confirmed that the series had been renewed for a second season, which will consist of eight episodes. The streamer released the official trailer on Aug. 23, and it foreshadows a dramatic follow-up to the first season's intense conclusion.
The series is based on the animated series "Winx Club," which ran for eight seasons, so there is plenty of source material for the upcoming season. While the Netflix series faced criticism for its live-action adaptation, particularly the whitewashing of some of the main fairies, the intriguing plot certainly drew audiences in.
"Diversity both in front of and behind the camera is vital and much-needed throughout the industry and internationally.

Bloom Peters is just about done with restraining herself and her powers — and her friends are more than happy to help her out along the way. In a new trailer for Netflix’s Season 2 of “Fate: The Winx Saga,” the fairies are more powerful — and perhaps more reckless — than ever.
Of course, there are changes happening this season. As the trailer ominously warns: “The old regime is gone. It’s time to embrace the new one.” That new one is led by Headmistress Rosalind, who rules over the school with an iron fist. But apparently, she was also “working on some super mysterious s—.” As a result, fairies from Alfea are starting to go missing.

Flora will finally join in on the action on Fate: The Winx Saga after last season's casting controversy. By February the show was renewed, leaving fans eager for news about Flora. This article contains spoilers for Fate: The Winx Saga season 1.
Fate: The Winx Saga is Netflix’s latest foray into magical adolescence and season one is a six-hour introduction to the fairy boarding school Alfea, and the magical Otherworld. The series introduces us to a powerful fairy, Bloom (Abigail Cowen), who was raised in the human world completely unaware of her own magic or the larger magical community. She comes to Alfea to learn to control her power and to discover who she is.
We follow Bloom’s journey of self-discovery and self-empowerment as the requisite “chosen one”, and learn about this magical world through her eyes. As she discovers more about herself, she also uncovers secrets that could threaten Alfea and her safety within it. The season culminates in a coup of sorts, that sees Alfea’s leadership completely upended, which opens the door for really compelling storytelling in a follow-up season.

Finally we spoke to Precious Mustapha and Eliot Salt, as we attempt to dig deep into the cast and seek to find out as much as we can about this new band of young performers taking the nation by storm.

Bloom — who thought she was a regular human teen up until a flaming accident at home led to her admission into Alfea — goes into full-on fire fairy mode, fiery wings and all, to shoot out burning blasts at the evil creatures.
It’s in this moment, after our six-episode journey with the “changeling” who was placed with a human family at birth, that viewers learn just how powerful Bloom really is — and when she herself learns, too.

The new Netflix series follows Bloom (Abigail Cowen), a bright-eyed, redheaded American fairy with a mysterious past who enrolls at Alfea, a legendary fairy school in an undisclosed magical location (though everyone else’s British accents provide a hint). She’s beautiful and spunky, a combination that immediately catches the attention of Sky (Danny Griffin), who’s both the most popular boy in school and the recent ex-boyfriend of her jealous suitemate, Stella (Hannah van der Westhuysen). Unlike her peers, Bloom only recently found out about her powers when she lost control and set her family’s house ablaze. Still, her teachers quietly agree that she has incredible potential like no one else at the school, a fact borne out once Bloom embraces her powers instead of running away from them. Once...

When I first heard they were making a live-action adaptation of Winx Club, I was thrilled. I fondly remember the early-2000s cartoon with its ridiculously fun fashions and core group of girls who will do anything for one another. Then I saw the casting of said group for Netflix's Fate: The Winx Saga, and my enthusiasm waned. Don't get me wrong; Abigail Cowen, Precious Mustapha, Hannah van der Westhuysen, Elisha Applebaum, and Eliot Salt are all talented actors who don't deserve the hate they've received from the community, but the whitewashing of the show is apparent and shouldn't have happened in the first place.
As a white person, sometimes it's hard for me to recognize the blatant whiteness of shows because the characters on screen reflect what I look like and I don't often feel othered by experiences I see. Yet, with Fate: The Winx Saga, it was...

This Fate: The Winx Saga is based on all six episodes and contains no spoilers.
Fate: The Winx Saga, the newest YA fantasy effort from Netflix, is the live-action remake of an animated series that takes the story and pitches it at an older age group. There’s a magic school surrounded by gorgeous landscapes (courtesy of filming locations in Ireland), a group of students trying to uncover a conspiracy protected by the teachers, and more than a couple of secrets about the origins of our main character.
If that sounds familiar, that’s because it is. The 6-episode series borrows liberally from its predecessors, but none more so than J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World. Now, while many of us would welcome a new iteration of those particular ideas, the homage it pays (the first episode contains a scene in which two characters share what Hogwarts house they’d be...
