Hello Sunshine, a part of Candle Media, proudly kicked off its second annual Shine Away event, an experiential franchise connected by AT&T, on Saturday, October 5 at the state-of-the-art, female-founded, nya studios in Los Angeles. Day one of Hello Sunshine’s two day marquee consumer event brought the Hello Sunshine community together to connect women to greater possibilities through connection, entertainment, and joy.
Following a hilarious stand up set from comedian and actress Heather McMahan, Hello Sunshine founder Reese Witherspoon kicked off the day by welcoming guests to the second annual experience. She also paid special tribute to Reese’s Book Club’s 100th book pick author Margaret Renkl and the entire Rbc author community before sitting down for an empowering panel discussion with Octavia Spencer and Laura Dern moderated by AT&T Chief Marketing & Growth Officer, Kellyn Kenny about how they defied expectations and built a network that fueled their journey to success.

Roku’s popular docuseries Side Hustlers will be back for another go-round. The streaming platform has renewed the series for a second season following a strong Season 1 launch, with hosts Emma Grede and Ashley Graham set to return.
During its opening weekend, Side Hustlers, which hails from Hello Sunshine, a part of Candle Media, and Ally Financial, was the #1 on-demand title on The Roku Channel, according to the streamer.

Kathleen Griffith — who built the marketing and media consultancy firm Grayce & Co. to help blue-chip companies reach and engage female consumers — has found new representation.
Griffith has signed with CAA to identify opportunities in unscripted TV and speaking tours to raise her own profile. The agency will also expand her publishing ventures, as Griffith’s signing coincides with her debut book, Build Like a Woman, which promises a guide for women looking to start and scale a startup business and positive lifestyle.
The book will be published in 2024 by St. Martin’s Press, an imprint of Macmillan Publishing Group, in a deal closed by CAA. Griffith also funded and launched Build Like a Woman, a global platform offering inspiration, tools and a community for women looking to rise and thrive personally and professionally, including in business.
