- Orignal founder member & singer of rock band Great White in 1978 - 2001. Played the last show on New Years eve 2001 with Great White in Anheim, California, USA. Started a solo project in 2002 and recorded an album called 'For You' dedicated to his father John Russell a big Great white band supporter who died in 2001.
- The band was on stage at the Station Night Club in West Warwick, Rhode Island on 20 February 2003. The band's pyrotechnics accidentally set the club on fire. More than 95 people died, making this the fourth-most deadly nightclub fire in US history.
