Avengers: Doomsdaywill mark the beginning of the end for the Multiverse Saga, setting up the epic events of Avengers: Secret Wars and, as many fans have theorized, a potential reboot of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Though long in the making, Doomsday is officially set to hit theaters in May of 2026, with cameras rolling in the next few weeks. With the Russo Brothers returning to direct, Doomsday promises to explore the answers to many lingering questions from Phases 4, 5, and 6 of the MCU.
One of the biggest questions surrounding the Multiverse Saga finale was raised in Deadpool & Wolverine, which introduced the concept of anchor beings. Tva agent Mr. Paradox explains that anchor beings are individuals around whom an entire universe revolves. If they should die, the universe would slowly begin to fade out of existence. Hugh Jackman's Wolverine was revealed to be the anchor being of Fox's X-Men Universe, but...

Now, imagine that same life but with an eye patch, a long leather coat, and the power to assemble superheroes with a simple glare. That’s Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, a role so iconic that the mere mention of it sends Marvel fans into a frenzy.

We’ve all heard of Robert Downey Jr.’s rise from the ashes. But Majors? He hasn’t been handed the same golden ticket. I hope Hollywood mega-producers Amy Pascal and David Heyman take their martinis shaken, not stirred. Why? If things go according to plan, they could be the new overseers of Amazon MGM Studios‘ James Bond franchise. According to multiple reports, Pascal, who, while at Sony, brought the best-grossing Bond films to theaters with Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, Spectre, and Skyfall, and Heyman, who sits at the head of the table for Warner’s Harry Potter franchise, could gain control of 007’s future after Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson step down.
Genre film lovers know Pascal as the mastermind of Sony’s animated Spider-Verse movies and the studio’s Spider-Man films, which starred Tom Holland as the friendly neighborhood wall-crawler. Pascal helped weave the web of Spider-Man: No Way Home, an event film that grossed $1.95 billion and became the seventh highest-grossing film ever.

Ever since the final moments of Loki Season 2, when Tom Hiddleston’s deliciously deceitful God of Mischief finally found his purpose as the God of Stories and bound together the failing strands of the multiverse, MCU fans knew that they would see him again. After all, if the multiverse story is coming to an end, then at some point that has to all lead back to Loki. And according to new rumors from Alex Perez, what we have all known for years is apparently what will happen as Loki plays an integral role in Avengers: Doomsday.
According to Perez, Loki will become the focus of a race between the Avengers and Doctor Doom, and whoever wins will decide the fate of the Marvel multiverse. While the ending of Avengers: Infinity War came as a complete shock to many – everyone remembers the moment Thanos was able to snap his fingers despite...

Jonathan Majors is eager to work with Marvel again and return to the MCU as Kang the Conqueror... but whether the studio would have any interest is obviously another matter.
Last year, the Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and Loki actor was found guilty of two misdemeanour counts of harassment and assault, as well as not guilty on two additional charges of intentional assault in the third degree and aggravated harassment in the second degree against then girlfriend Grace Jabbari.
Majors managed to escape with one year of domestic violence counselling, which he has now served. Jabbari also dismissed the federal lawsuit against him last November.
“Yeah, of course I say yes. Disney, Marvel Studios, I love them,” Majors told USA Today when asked about potentially reprising his Kang role. “Tom Hiddleston, loved working with that guy. Loved working with Paul Rudd. Loved working with Gugu Mbatha-Raw. I love the industry so much,...

With Jonathan Majors back on the big screen with his new movie, Magazine Dreams, the actor is hoping for an MCU comeback, as he recently revealed he would love to play Kang the Conqueror again. His supervillain was being set up as the McU's next big bad after Thanos. Majors first appeared in Loki Season 1, where he revealed there are countless variants who all bow to one dominant version of Kang. Another variant appeared in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, although it's probably best if that film is forgotten. Majors was let go by Marvel Studios after being convicted of two misdemeanor counts of harassment and reckless assault.

There’s no stopping Pedro Pascal from dominating the entertainment industry as the famed Internet daddy-slash-superstar gets booked with numerous projects from this year all the way to 2027. Jonathan Majors was dropped from the Marvel Cinematic Universe just as he was gearing up to be featured as the big bad in Avengers: Doomsday (originally titled Avengers: The Kang Dynasty). Though the MCU is moving on without him, Majors is still open to coming back to the MCU if Disney and Marvel Studios will ultimately decide to reverse the decision.
Majors opened up on the possibility of returning as Kang at some point in the future during a new interview with USA Today. He was asked how he'd feel if Marvel were to give him the call about coming back, and Majors made it clear that he would do so with no hesitation. He attributed his eagerness to come back into the fold to how much he loved working with his MCU co-stars, something he says he can still feel even far removed from his role as Kang.

Darren Aronofsky is circling to direct Netflix’s Cujo film, based on the novel by Stephen King.
Deadline first reported the news of the film adaptation , with Roy Lee attached to produce in the deal made last week.
The 1981 novel was originally adapted into a thriller film in 1983 starring Dee Wallace as a mother protecting her sone from a 200-pound St. Bernard that turned rabid after being bit by a bat. The formerly friendly hound transformed into one of cold calculation that left a trail of bodies in its wake.
The climactic scene in that film took place when Wallace’s mother and her son face the difficult decision of battling heatstroke in a car that won’t start or confronting the big, rabid dog waiting for them outside the small vehicle.
Aronofsky’s more recent projects include Postcard from Earth (2023) and The Whale (2022) starring Brendan Fraser...

Captain America: Brave New World has been pushed to the 4th spot on Friday, with two new releases hogging up the top two spots and Mickey 17 at #3. Anthony Mackie’s film is hit hard by new movies, which are already having a tough time at the box office in North America. Despite it all, Captain America 4 has a reason to celebrate since it has surpassed the US haul of Chris Hemsworth-led Thor. Keep scrolling for more.
Thor was the debut MCU feature of Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Anthony Hopkins, and Tom Hiddleston, and they soon became fan favorites. It was received with positive reactions and turned out to be a box office success. It was directed by Kenneth Branagh and released in 2011 when Captain America: The First Avenger was also released.

Avengers: Doomsday ups the stakes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Multiverse Saga. The highly anticipated blockbuster sees the titular supergroup take on a new and nefarious big bad in Robert Downey Jr.'s Doctor Doom, with its working title playing into the shenanigans fans can expect in the saga's latest chapter. The movie's pre-production budget is also a sign that a massive budget will be given to the Avengers sequels.
Per Forbes, the official working title for Doomsday is "For All Time Productions UK," with principal photography on the film expected to commence later this month in London. Fans of the hit MCU Disney+ series, Loki, will be familiar with that phrase, as the Time Variance Authority's (Tva) motto is "For All Time, Always." The working title could hint at the multiversal madness that's likely to unfold when the Avengers face off with Earth-616's Victor von Doom.

While Stephen King is rightfully known as the Master of Horror, the prolific novelist could just as easily be called the Master of Feels. After all, without King, there is no Stand By Me, no The Shawshank Redemption, no The Green Mile. It makes sense then that Mike Flanagan, whose propensity for combining horror and heartfelt storytelling has made the likes of Midnight Mass and The Haunting Of Hill House unmissable, has proven one of King's best adapters. And having done both Doctor Sleep and Gerald's Game great justice on screen already, Flanagan's latest King movie, Tom Hiddleston starrer The Life Of Chuck, looks set to be one of his most emotional works yet. And you can catch a glimpse at the film below;

The teaser for The Life of Chuck has finally arrived. The feature, which is based on the Stephen King novella of the same name, is the latest King adaptation written and directed by Mike Flanagan, who also made Doctor Sleep and Gerald's Game. The upcoming The Life of Chuck, which is not a horror movie like Flanagan's previous adaptations, stars Tom Hiddleston in the title role as an ordinary man whose life is depicted in three parts, in reverse chronological order, beginning with his death. The cast also includes Chiwetel Ejiofor, Karen Gillan, Matthew Lillard, Harvey Guillén, and Mark Hamill.
Neon has now unveiled the first official teaser trailer for The Life of Chuck. The minute-long video opens with the sound of a clock ticking playing over a vast expanse of starry sky. The rhythm is then matched by other sounds from Chuck's (Tom Hiddleston) life, including a heart monitor and a blinking streetlight.

Ready for another spooky Stephen King adaptation from Mike Flanagan? Well too bad! With “The Life of Chuck,” Flanagan is only bringing the feels. Sure, the specter of death looms large over the Tom Hiddleston-led drama — plus its interest in the otherworldly is clear — but the story forgoes King’s usual frights for a far more straightforward and sentimental tale of all the vital and divine components that make up a life.
In IndieWire’s review out of TIFF, where “The Life of Chuck” won the People’s Choice Award, critic Katie Rife wrote, “Structured around a verse from Walt Whitman’s ‘Song of Myself’ — ‘Do I contradict myself? Very well then, I contradict myself. I am large, I contain multitudes’ — ‘The Life of Chuck’ is told in reverse order from the end of a man’s life to the beginning. It does so in a way that’s...

Mike Flanagan has directed a small handful of Stephen King adaptations up this point including Gerald’s Game and Doctor Sleep, but his next King adaptation is going to offer up something a little bit different. Because The Life of Chuck isn’t a horror movie, and that’s made clear by the brand new official trailer that Neon has released this afternoon.
Neon will release the Flanagan + King collaboration in theaters on June 6, 2025.
Based on Stephen King‘s novella from his 2020 collection If It Bleeds, the upcoming genre-bending movie is written and directed by modern master of horror Mike Flanagan.
The life-affirming story explores three chapters in the life of an ordinary man named Charles Krantz.
Neon previews, “The film takes on a surrealist and existential tone, telling a genre-bending story that detours from the macabre you’d typically expect from both King and Flanagan’s past works. This...

Flanafans — today is our day. The time has finally come, and the first The Life of Chuck teaser is upon us. After hearing nothing but positive reviews following its People’s Choice Award-winning debut at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2024, viewers are finally getting a peek inside Mike Flanagan’s latest Stephen Kingadaptation — and it looks magical. The project has long been teased to deviate from both the filmmaker’s and author’s usual line of spooky content, and today’s trailer lives up to that description. Blending sci-fi with fantasy and a touch of existential dread, the Tom Hiddleston (Loki) and Karen Gillan (Sleeping Dogs)-led film finally pulls back the curtain and gives viewers a long, hard look into the life of its main character — Chuck Krantz (Hiddleston).

For the third time in eight years, director Mike Flanagan is adapting Stephen King’s work as a feature film. Flanagan’s first two collaborations with King — Gerald’s Game and Doctor Sleep — were both horror stories. But The Life of Chuck is something else altogether. The newly released teaser trailer lightly acknowledges that it isn’t a scary story by citing some of King’s previous forays outside of horror, including Stand by Me, The Shawshank Redemption, and The Green Mile. What it doesn’t answer is the question hanging over the film: Who is Chuck?
Tom Hiddleston plays Chuck as an adult, while Jacob Tremblay and Benjamin Pajak portray younger versions. There is an ominous quality to the trailer, which unfolds to the rhythm of a ticking of a clock. According to the film’s description, “images of a modest accountant named Chuck inexplicably appear everywhere” just as the...

Following the film winning the TIFF People’s Choice Award last fall, audiences are getting their first official look at Mike Flanagan’s life-affirming flick “The Life of Chuck.”
Flanagan trades the usual scares of “Doctor Sleep” and “The Haunting of Hill House” for a story about life and what it means to move forward when all hope is lost. Adapted from Stephen King’s novella, “The Life of Chuck” is split into three distinct parts and told in reverse order, following the mysterious life of seemingly ordinary accountant Chuck Krantz (Tom Hiddleston). The cast also includes Jacob Tremblay, Mark Hamill, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Matthew Lillard, Karen Gillan and Mia Sara, with Nick Offerman narrating.
“The universe is large and it contains multitudes, but it also contains me,” Chuck says in the teaser as he stands on the street in his suit.

Tom Hiddleston plays mild-mannered Charles “Chuck” Krantz, whose death coincides with the end of the world, in the trailer for Mike Flanagan’s The Life of Chuck, which dropped on Thursday.
The teaser early on shows the back of Hiddleston’s head as he plays the titular character of Chuck and walks down a suburban mall promenade. Then, now in a suit and spectacles, we finally see Hiddleston’s face as he nervously stares into the far distance.
“The universe is large, and it contains multitudes, but… it also contains me,” Chuck says in a voice-over to underline the movie’s message about embracing joy in the face of tragedy. The genre-tripping trailer for horror hitmaker Flanagan’s doomsday drama only hints at the end of Chuck’s life with early snippets of an Ecg heart line and a ticking clock.

Netflix has greenlit a remake of Stephen King’s novel “Cujo,” a horror story about a mother and son who get trapped in their car while protecting themselves from a rabid dog.
Roy Lee (“Barbarian”) will produce the reboot, which has yet to attach a writer, director or cast members, per Deadline, which broke the news of the project. King’s 1981 book was first adapted for the screen in the 1983 feature film of the same name, directed by Lewis Teague and starring Dee Wallace, Daniel Hugh Kelly and Danny Pintauro. At the box office, “Cujo” earned $21 million worldwide (not adjusted for inflation) against a $6 million budget.
King’s novels, in genres ranging from horror and sci-fi to crime and fantasy, have been rich material for Hollywood, with films such as “Carrie,” “The Shining,” “Shawshank Redemption,” “Stand By Me,” “It” and the sequel “It: Chapter Two.”

More than once throughout his 50-year career, British writer J.G. Ballard's writing turned out to be eerily prescient. From the more straight sci-fi of his early-60s work to the surreal and often controversial satires of the '70s, Ballard had an uncanny knack for turning humanity's worst tendencies into art. His works have been adapted to film by directors as disparate as David Cronenberg and Steven Spielberg, a testament to the range of his talents. One of his most celebrated works, 1975's High-Rise, received its own film treatment back in 2015, courtesy of eclectic filmmaker Ben Wheatley, the director behind such acclaimed indie fare as Kill List, A Field in England, and Free Fire.
Following the residents of a state-of-the-art high-rise apartment building that quickly devolves into chaos when the amenities break down, Ballard's novel chillingly satirizes the ways that the upper classes cannibalize each other when their imagined social order begins to crumble.

Right now, the hallowed James Bond franchise feels in a tighter spot than becoming strapped to a table as a laser beam inches toward your nethers. Since Daniel Craig’s retirement as the legendary superspy, the fate of 007 is a giant question mark. Whether it’s deciding who the next Bond should be or the act of moving ahead with a British Secret Intelligence Service television series, the situation appears aimless and exhausting. According to a write-up from The Hollywood Reporter, fans can chalk much of the ire up to hurt feelings and a lack of a clear creative direction.

Longlegs and The Monkey director Osgood Perkins is shaken and stirred after a Reddit Ama (via Indiewire) in which a fan asked if he’d be interested in directing a James Bond movie. “Are you open to directing a Bond movie/trilogy? If so, who would you cast as your version of Bond?” Perkins quickly replied, “No, because fuck Jeff Bezos.”
The vibes of Osgood’s response to the question are definitive, as the in-demand filmmaker made no bones about vocalizing his distaste for the Amazon figurehead. Perkins’s comments follow a spat of confusion regarding the future of the James Bond franchise. In late February, Amazon MGM Studios and longtime Bond producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli announced a shift in leadership as they ceded creative control over to Amazon. Under the new deal, Wilson, Broccoli, and Amazon would share co-ownership of Bond, with Amazon deciding the franchise’s fate and direction.
