The Comeback Kid. Baby J. Andrew Glouberman. John Mulaney has many names in the Netflix universe, and now he’s claimed one more: live talk show host. Mulaney is hosting, co-showrunning, and executive producing Everybody’s Live with John Mulaney through his company, Multiple Camera Productions, alongside executive producers Ashley Edens, Dave Ferguson, and John Foy.

As Mulaney reminds us at the top of his monologue each week, the talk show streams "live around the world with no delay." This 12-episode season is a continuation of John Mulaney Presents Everybody’s in L.A., which was part of last year’s Netflix is a Joke Fest. Everybody’s Live with John Mulaney, which the host himself insists will "never be relevant," features Richard Kind as its beloved announcer; Saymo, as both trusty snack-delivery robot and Richard Kind antagonizer; and a slate of rotating guest panelists who will discuss a weekly “universal” topic.

Everybody’s Live with John Mulaney kicks off this week and the comedian has assembled an esoteric group for his first show.

Michael Keaton, Joan Baez, Fred Armisen, Cypress Hill and personal finance columnist Jessica Roy will be the guests on the first episode of the new show, which debuts live on Wednesday March 12 at 7pm Pt.

The guest list echoes that of Mulaney’s previous talk show experiment on Netflix – Everybody’s in LA, which debuted last year around the Netflix is a Joke Festival.

Everbody’s in LA featured comedians such as Jerry Seinfeld, Jon Stewart, Sarah Silverman, Pete Davidson, David Letterman, Luenell and Nikki Glaser as well as musicians including St Vincent, Warren G, Joyce Manor, Weezer, Los Lobos and Beck and experts such as lawyer Marcia Clark, hypnotherapist Kerry Gaynor, seismologist Dr. Lucy Jones and Dr. Emily Lindsey, Associate Curator at the La Brea Tar Pits.

Now that Netflix has taken the journey into live television and has premiered some comedy specials live, they will be venturing into the talk show world with the new series Everybody’s Live with John Mulaney. The former Saturday Night Live writer, who can recently be seen in the sketch show’s 50th anniversary special, will be hosting a multitude of guests, as well as co-show run and executive produce the series through his production company, Multiple Camera Productions, along with executive producers Ashley Edens, Dave Ferguson, and John Foy. Exclusive: John Mulaney is getting ready to launch his live variety talk show at Netflix.

The comedian is set to kick off his show – the follow-up to his successful and beautifully chaotic Everybody’s in LA series – on March 12. Everybody Live with John Mulaney will run for 12 weeks.

Deadline understands that Mulaney received a two-season order from the streamer, which greenlit the show last year. The move means that unless something goes horribly wrong, the Baby J comedian will be back for a second run of the live show.

We also hear that Ashley Edens, who was co-showrunner of Everybody’s in LA, will serve as exec producer of the show alongside Mulaney. Edens recently served as showrunner for Fox’s The Real Full Monty and has exec produced specials such as Little Big Town’s Christmas at the Opry, Dick Van Dyke’s 98 Years of Magic and Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts.

Exclusive: Grammy-winning country band Little Big Town will host a two-hour NBC holiday special in December, with a line-up of guests from the stage of the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville to include Dan + Shay, Kelsea Ballerini, Sheryl Crow, Kirk Franklin, Josh Groban, Kate Hudson and Orville Peck.

John Mulaney’s wildly chaotic six-episode run of Everybody’s In LA featured old punks, phone-ins and just about every top comedian in the states.

But the show, which ran for six episodes around the Netflix Is A Joke Festival between May 3 and May 10, was originally designed as a variety show. “I wanted everyone to go make what they wanted and I will put it on. We can’t get renewed. We should actually be a variety show,” he said.

The network has signed up Anthony Anderson, Taye Diggs, NFL All-Pro Chris Jones, Tyler Posey, Dancing With the Stars judge Bruno Tonioli and James Van Der Beek to take part in The Real Full Monty. Netflix announced Monday that the comic will be rolling out his latest twist on the traditional comedy special with a multi-night streaming event, which he’s titled John Mulaney Presents: Everybody’s in L.A.

The six episodes will unspool live on Netflix over as many nights during the service’s Netflix Is a Joke Fest, when, yes, everybody — or at least every major comic — is in town. The special formally launches May 3, with additional episodes debuting nightly, beginning 7 p.m. Pt, from May 6-10. Mulaney will also be performing at the Hollywood Bowl on May 4 as part of the star-studded festival.

Each of the live installments will feature Mulaney exploring the city, and will incorporate many of the famous (and not-so-famous) faces in town. As Netflix describes it, the “comically unconventional show will feature special guests and field pieces shot in Los Angeles.

CBS will honor the entertainment icon’s legendary career in “Dick Van Dyke 98 Years of Magic,” which will air on the CBS Television Network and stream live and next day on demand on Paramount+ on Dec. 21 from 9 to 11 p.m. Et/Pt.

The tribute to the Grammy, Emmy and Tony Award-winning actor and performer will travel back in time to the iconic set of “The Dick Van Dyke Show” and feature dazzling music and dance spectacles, heartfelt performances, special guests and a magical holiday number. The annual Amazon Prime Day Show will feature streaming music performances by Billie Eilish, H.E.R. and Kid Cudi this year.

The events will be available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video for 30 days starting June 17, with Amazon Prime Days set for June 21 and 22. The streaming is available to all without a Prime subscription needed.

Mariah Carey is teaming with Apple on a Christmas special set for premiere later this year on Apple TV+. Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Special will debut on the heels of the 25th anniversary of Carey’s bestselling holiday anthem “All I Want For Christmas Is You.”

It’s described as an “innovative special” that “will combine music, dancing and animation driven by a universally heartwarming story that brings the world together.” Carey stars along with a star-studded lineup of surprise guest appearances, according to Apple.

The new special comes after last year’s 25th anniversary of Carey’s iconic No. 1 holiday anthem “All I Want For Christmas Is You” and will feature the legendary icon Carey and a star-studded lineup of surprise guest appearances, in a magical holiday journey to enliven the Christmas spirit around the world.

It will premiere on the heels of the 25th anniversary of Carey’s iconic holiday anthem “All I Want For Christmas Is You.” It will feature Carey and a lineup of surprise guest appearances.

Carey will executive produce along with Ian Stewart, Raj Kapoor, and Ashley Edens for production company Done + Dusted. BAFTA Award winner Hamish Hamilton and Oscar nominee and Golden Globe winner Roman Coppola will direct.

News of the special comes after it was announced that Carey is preparing to release the two-disc “The Rarities” on Oct. 2. It is described as a “collection of personal favorites from her vault … celebrating Carey’s exceptional artistry and vision through hidden musical jewels from her personal archives.

Both "Selma" by Ava DuVernay and "Unbroken" by Angelina Jolie were left in the dust.
