Leading to their Wrestlemania 21 match, Mark Calaway (aka "The Undertaker") suggested Randy being the man to end his streak, but Randy refused out of respect for The Undertaker's legacy.

On March 1, 2003, at a WWE live event, Orton and Dave Bautista (aka "Batista") teamed up to face the Dudley Boyz. This was famous for being a match that nearly no one walked away from unhurt. Batista tore his bicep, Orton broke his leg and Mark LoMonaco (aka "Bubba Ray Dudley") injured his back.

Both he and fellow Evolution member Dave Bautista (aka "Batista") began their wrestling careers in Ohio Valley Wrestling.

Aunt Rhonda Orton, accompanied close friend André René Roussimoff during filming of The Princess Bride (1987) at Lee International Studios, Shepperton, UK. There she became acquainted with Wallace Shawn. As fate would have it, a decade later in 1997, Rhonda, a gaming industry professional in Las Vegas, was hired to coach Shawn as a blackjack dealer for Vegas Vacation (1997).

On Sunday, April 3, 2005 at WrestleMania XXI, he challenged Mark Calaway (aka "The Undertaker"), looking forward to ending his 12-0 winning streak. During the match Orton injured his shoulder, which caused him to lose his match, making The Undertaker 13-0 at WrestleMania.

The day after WrestleMania XXI at Monday Night RAW on April 4, 2005, he challenged the new World Heavyweight Champion, Dave Bautista (aka "Batista") for a title shot. During the match he further injured his shoulder and his bicep muscle was torn.

Was awarded the WWE Championship on an Edition of WWE Monday Night RAW (1993) after Vince McMahon had stripped John Cena of the title due to injury. Orton is, as of November 5th 2007, the reigning WWE Champion and is set to face Shawn Michaels at Survivor Series.
