When A Million Little Things ended its five-season run on ABC earlier this year, it seemed like the door was closed on the series for good.
Now, though, there's a chance that more episodes of the beloved drama could be produced.
Series creator DJ Nash took to X this week to respond to a fan who asked if the show is over.
"It's over. For now," he responded.
In a word? Whoa.
It's not uncommon for TV series to stage comebacks after their series finales.
In this TV climate, shows return for additional seasons years after they wrap up.
Frasier recently returned, 19 years after its series finale, for example.
There's a lot of story to mine from a comeback of A Million Little Things, which gave This Is Us a run for its money as one of the most emotional shows on TV.
We're still trying to get over A Million Little Things...

Several characters are returning during Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but there are many more from Marvel Studios' past who have only had one appearance. Since the start of the MCU with 2008's Iron Man, dozens of characters have been introduced, with the focus being given primarily to the franchise's heroes and villains, adapted from the pages of Marvel Comics. Now with over thirty films and a selection of TV shows on Disney+, it's difficult to give every character the time they deserve to develop, but some important characters from Phases 1, 2, and 3 have been all but forgotten as the franchise has expanded.

Farewell to our favorite friends from Boston!
Wednesday’s finale of “A Million Little Things,” titled “One Big Thing,” gives an emotional send-off to the glue that kept the friend group together: Gary (James Roday Rodriguez).
Two episodes prior to the finale, Gary learned that his cancer returned and was terminal. In an effort to be there for his and his now-wife, Maggie’s son, Javier, in case he didn’t make it, he began filming a series of videos. As the final episode begins, Gary (who is visibly at the end of his life) is prepared to say goodbye to the people he loves the most.
But not before he gives his best friends, Rome (Romany Malco) and Eddie (David Giuntoli), one final mission.
The show opens with Gary — who is battling stage 4 cancer, years after his initial breast cancer diagnosis — lying in his hospice bed in his house,...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for A Million Little Things Season 5 Episode 11 “Ironic.”] A Million Little Things, in one of its last episodes, celebrates love with a wedding that leads to a reunion. But “Ironic” also leaves off on a note that worries us that the series could end just like it started: with a funeral. Everything stems from Katherine (Grace Park) and Greta’s (Cameron Esposito) wedding, which doesn’t exactly go off without a hitch, thanks to bad weather. They get married, with Greta wearing Katherine’s father’s wedding tuxedo after a mishap (and they have to go from a ceremony on a boat to a redecorated nautical-themed bar). In other happier news (if you’re a fan of the couple), Eddie (David Giuntoli) and Delilah (Stephanie Szostak) reunite, thanks to a push from Gary (James Roday Rodriguez) and Maggie (Allison Miller). But it’s while Gary’s getting on Eddie’s case about Delilah,...

The bad news: We’re now one episode closer to saying goodbye to the friend group of A Million Little Things. The good news: we’ll see some familiar faces before the end, including Delilah (Stephanie Szostak) and Jon (Ron Livingston). “We will see incredible flashbacks with the two of them that will explain parts of a story that we never knew about,” creator DJ Nash tells TV Insider. As for how much we see Delilah, “you see her quite a bit,” he continues. “I think fans who have been craving Stephanie Szostak to return to the show will be very, very happy. I know when I’m in the editing bay, and I watch, it’s amazing. She’s really good. And we forgot how much we missed her — we knew we missed her, but just the extent to which we missed her until she came back. The character...

A Million Little Things is going out “in a big way” for each of the characters, series star David Giuntoli (Eddie) promised when he, Romany Malco (Rome), and James Roday Rodriguez (Gary) sat down with TV Insider’s Damian Holbrook to talk about the final season of the ABC drama. By the finale, it will have been five years that we followed this friend group — Eddie, Rome, and Gary, along with Katherine (Grace Park), Regina (Christina Moses), Maggie (Allison Miller), and Delilah (Stephanie Szostak) — and the farewell begins with the premiere on February 8. Heading into these episodes, we know that there’s reason to be concerned about Gary (cancer), but this means that he’ll have to accept help from others. “That’s been the arc for Gary: learning how important self-love and accepting love is and it’s actually what balances and makes the love he gives out so much more meaningful,...

“A Million Little Things” has been filled with emotion since its 2018 debut — and the final season is set to follow suit.
Per the show’s official description, Season 5 kicks off with a funeral, which sees the group coming together “celebrate the life of a loved one who dies unexpectedly.” However, it won’t be the only death of the season, creator DJ Nash confirms to Variety. “Someone else passes away,” he says, careful not to give away anymore.
The show, which is rooted in Nash’s own relationships and personal experiences, stars David Giuntoli, Romany Malco, Allison Miller, Christina Moses, Grace Park, James Roday Rodriguez, Tristan Byon, Lizzy Greene and Chance Hurstfield. ABC announced the series’ end in November — a decision Nash had known for a long time.

Emmy-winning executive producer David E. Kelley and Oscar winner Barry Levinson lead Peacock psychological crime thriller “The Calling.”
Kelley, known recently for “Big Little Lies” and “The Undoing,” serves as showrunner, writer, and executive producer of the series, premiering November 10 on the NBCU streamer. Levinson directs multiple episodes including the pilot, as well as executive produces. Hans Zimmer and Steve Mazzaro are co-composers for the gritty police procedural with a twist.
“The Calling” centers on NYPD Detective Avraham Avraham (Jeff Wilbusch) whose belief in mankind is his superpower when it comes to uncovering the truth. Guided by a deep sense of spirituality and religious principles, Avraham is left to question his own humanity when a seemingly routine investigation turns upside down. The series is based on Dror Mishani’s novels of the same name, which showrunner Kelley calls a “riveting and emotionally complicated series of books.”
