Last year, Charles Band’s company Full Moon announced that they were launching a new production label called Pulp Noir, which would focus on “edgier, weirder, darker horror and dark fantasy films.” Two Pulp Noir movies, Quadrant and Death Streamer, have since made their way through production – and while those movies were initially released in color, all of the Pulp Noir movies will also get black & white “noir” releases, so there are both color and black & white versions of Quadrant and Death Streamer available on the Full Moon Features streaming service. While we wait for more Pulp Noir movies to be made, Band has started going through the Full Moon library to give some of their older films the black & white / noir treatment. Remastered from the 35mm original elements, 2005’s The Gingerdead Man stars Robin Sydney, Jonathan Chase, and Gary Busey as the titular killer cookie.

2008’s Gingerdead Man 2: Passion of the Crust, 2011’s Gingerdead Man 3: Saturday Night Cleaver, the 2013 crossover Gingerdead Man vs. Evil Bong, and the 2021 spin-off The Gingerweed Man each make their Blu-ray debut as part of the set.

The blood-splattered Gingerdead Man figure, a variant of Full Moon’s Tiny Terrors blind box toy, is exclusive to the tin.

The first movie in the Pulp Noir line, a female serial killer story called Quadrant, wrapped production a while back and Full Moon has announced that the movie will be getting Blu-ray, DVD, limited edition VHS, and streaming release on August 23rd! But before we reach that date, Full Moon will be releasing a special called Quadrant: The Joe Bob Briggs Screening on August 22nd!

The announcement lets us know, “Full Moon Features will be Exclusively premiering a very special Quadrant special feature on Thursday, August 22nd.

Full Moon Features is gearing up to go into production on their “crazy, candy-colored” comedy Barbenheimer, which was inspired by the portmanteau we all saw a thousand times last summer, as movie-goers headed out for double features of Barbie and Oppenheimer. Full Moon founder Charles Band took to social media to let us know that Barbenheimer will begin filming on April 8th, aiming for a summer 2024 release.

In this post, Band tagged his wife, actress Robin Sydney, genre icon Barbara Crampton, legendary drive-in movie critic and TV host Joe Bob Briggs, and Joe Bob’s “mail girl” Darcy, a.k.a. The campy movie was shot during the lockdown using creative pandemic parameters. The movie follows the titular Barbie (Cody Renee Cameron) and Kendra (Robin Sydney) after they narrowly escape the contagious catastrophe of corona zombies. Navigating through social distancing and boredom, they get hooked on a television show about a man and his tigers on a nature channel.

This weekend, the "Nightmare Before Halloween" will take place at the 13th annual Crypticon Minnesota, featuring a wide array of special guests, amazing artists, and eerie events that are sure to get attendees into the spooky spirit of the season!

Well Go USA has acquired all North American rights to Snowfort Pictures and Automatic Entertainment’s American Muscle.

Commercial and music video director Ravi Dhar’s arthouse action-thriller stars Nick Principe, Robin Sydney, Todd Farmer, John Fallon, Trent Haaga and Malice McMunn.

The story takes place in California’s Yucca Valley as an ex-con embarks on a mission of revenge against his brother.

John Fallon wrote the screenplay and Travis Stevens produced alongside Jeffrey Giles and Michael Lurie.

“We set out to make a different kind of action film; something beautiful and exciting,” said Snowfort’s Stevens. “We can’t think of a company better suited to bring Ravi Dhar’s unique vision to audiences than Well Go USA.”

Stevens brokered the deal with Well Go USA president and head of acquisitions Doris Pfardrescher.

As the corpses re-animate, Gerald’s inheritance-seeking younger brother, Harold (Jeffrey Combs), unexpectedly shows up and stumbles upon Gerald trying to keep the zombie outbreak under control. Killer Film was present for the launch of FullMoonHorror.com at Meltdown Comics in Hollywood, California. It was a huge gathering of Full Moon alumni as Charles Band and his Full Moon Pictures empire introduced a new website that is a bit of viral marketing genius. It's time for another all-new episode of Cinemax's sexy anthology series Femme Fatales, which airs Friday nights at 11pm. The Clinic stars Daniel Bess as Logan, who seeks treatment at a remote Mexican clinic where patients have begun to mysteriously disappear. When another patient, Lindsey (Robin Sydney) makes a connection between the elderly patients and these disappearances, they decide they want to escape, but Logan's girlfriend Jessica (Stacy Stas) and one of the doctors (Carrie Genzel) insist they stay. Phantasm's Angus Scrimm guest stars in this thrilling tenth chapter, which you can sneak a peek at in the exclusive clip below. This past April we had the opportunity to chat with writer/director/producer and all-around entertaining guy Charles Band (read it here) about his latest project Evil Bong 3D: The Wrath of Bong and how he was taking the film on the road to share with fans in selected cities.

Well, if you’re living in the New Jersey area, Band has cooked up a day-long event for fans this Saturday, May 14th, which includes the East Coast premiere of the flick, a 25th anniversary screening of From Beyond which will be introduced by Barbara Crampton, a Puppetmaster 2 20th anniversary screening introduced by star and Full Moon Scream Queen Charlie Spradling, a performance by Charles Band’s Full Moon Roadshow, and more.

Director Charles Band is touring his cannabis fueled project Evil Bong 3D: The Wrath of Bong! across the United States, in celebration of National Weed Day. April 20th is the day to break out your herb, with the film showing in Dallas, Texas this day. Other showings include Atlanta, Georgia (April 22), Madison, Wisconsin (April 23), Portland, Oregon (April 30), and New Jersey (May 14th). Each presentation will host special guests.

On April 20th, this herbified showing will be presented in smell-o-vision and lifelike 3D, with a new television spot listed below. Get set for some green screams, as Larnell, Bachman, Brett and Alistair "are enslaved in [an] Alien Bong's" (Full Moon) lair. More on their dazed escapades are below.

Charles Band released the trailer for Gingerdead Man 3: Saturday Night Cleaver, but no official release date. Chicago Full Moon fans should check out the page for Full Moon's Flashback Weekend. On Saturday April 9, 2011 Band will be hosting A Tribute to Barbara Crampton, with 35mm screenings of Re-Animator, From Beyond and Castle Freak. Crampton will be there with Robin Sydney from Evil Bong 1-3.

Campy low budget horror film production company and distributor Full Moon Pictures just recently announced the completion of Gingerdead Man 3-D: Saturday Night Cleaver. In between filming and post production the film's status was updated to include the fact that it will be shown in 3-D. 

The film starring Jacqui Holland, Caley Chase, Peter Stickles, Robin Sydney, Kimberly Pfeffer, Laura Kachergus and Kent Fuher is aiming for a March release according to Full Moon Entertainment. Zach Passero, director of the 2008 Fever Dreams/Media Blasters feature Wicked Lake, has given Dread Central the skinny on the release plans for his director's cut of that feature. Hitting Blu-Ray on June 29, 2010, the disc will contain the original cut with the director's cut (titled Wicked, Wicked Lake) as a bonus that will feature an introduction by the filmmaker.

While the packaging will (sadly, in this writer’s estimation) remain the same, here’s a breakdown of the disc’s special features.

Charles Band is one of those guys who has been around forever, writing, directing, and producing movies since the pre-disco era of the 1970’s. He has been involved with some great films and many of his titles were part of the first wave of video releases that built the entire home entertainment industry. I still have a poster of Sorority Babes In The Slimeball Bowl-o-Rama hanging up in my basement and my Puppet Master collection is safely tucked away so that visiting children won’t mess them up by actually playing with them.

Band has one of those iconic names within the industry and I was thrilled to be chosen to review one of his latest works, Skull Heads. That delight was short lived however as the film unfolded to reveal that it was long on atmosphere and short on actual frights.
