Warning: Spoilers for Cobra Kai Season 6, Part 2
Even Cobra Kai season 6 admits Samantha Larusso (Mary Mouser) vs. Tory Nichols (Peyton List) has happened far too many times. In Cobra Kai season 6, part 2, Sam and Tory are team captains, representing Miyagi-Do and Cobra Kai in the Sekai Taikai tournament. Nichols and Larusso have 16 teams of world-class teenage karate fighters to contend with, yet Cobra Kai never seems to tire of Sam vs. Tory even as the show calls itself out about it.
Tory and Sam became blood enemies in Cobra Kai season 2. The violence between Tory and Sam was shocking, and their multiple battles culminated in a showdown at the finals of the All Valley Under 18 Karate Tournament, which Tory won for Cobra Kai thanks to Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith) paying off the referee. Tory turned on Silver and reluctantly joined Miyagi-Do, with Nichols and Larusso actually becoming friends in...

Cobra Kai co-showrunner Jon Hurwitz assures fans that the Sekai Taikai will be as intense as teased by Mike Barnes in season 6 part 1. With its delayed appearance after the season 5 introduction, fans of the show have wondered if it would live up to expectations. Between Kreese's deadly means of building his new team to Mr. Miyagi's box of secrets housing a bloody headband with the tournament's logo, it seems likely the Sekai Taikai will be as deadly as promised.
As anticipation remains high for the international tournament, co-showrunner Jon Hurwitz teases the high stakes to come from Cobra Kai season 6's Sekai Taikai. First introduced in season 5 of the Karate Kid sequel show, the Sekai Taikai is considered the elite tournament of the international karate world, with Terry Silver contending with Daniel Larusso and Johnny Lawrence to win entry into it. Cobra Kai beautifully revives the rivalry from The Karate Kid with new characters, giving depth to 30+-year-old characters. Demetri in Cobra Kai stands out as a moral compass, showcasing humility, intellect, and staying true to his values. Fans love Demetri for his relatability, common sense, and growth, making him an underrated character worth noticing.
Cobra Kai beautifully weaves the 30+-year-old rivalry between Daniel Larusso (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) from The Karate Kid with a newly refreshed story following a young cast of karate students. The main new characters are Sam (Mary Mouser), Miguel (Xolo Mariduea), Robby (Tanner Buchanan), and Tory (Peyton List), with other supporting characters as part of the larger ensemble cast as well.
Some of these characters get their moments to shine, while others fade into the background with very few lines of dialogue. There are a few tertiary characters, however, who deserve more attention.

The Sekai Taikai Tournament will be at the heart of the final season of Cobra Kai, with intense training and difficult choices for the dojos. Tory's struggles, including her mother's death, led to her joining Kreese in the tournament, creating complex feelings among fans. Fans debate who should win the tournament, with Tory seen as a deserving candidate despite her affiliation with Cobra Kai.
Cobra Kais sixth and final season is gearing up to be all about the Sekai Taikai Tournament, the biggest worldwide tournament in karate. In the first five episodes of the season, Daniel (Ralph Macchio), Johnny (William Zabka), and Chozen (Yuji Okumoto) are busy training the kids to fight. However, when they learned that only six fighters could represent each dojo in the Barcelona-held tournament, they enlisted the help of Mike Barnes (Sean Kanan) to be an impartial sensei.

The following contains spoilers for Cobra Kai Season 6, Part 1, now streaming on Netflix.
A staple of Cobra Kai is the epic array of fights. The series is steeped in cheesy 1980s humor, homaging The Karate Kid movies. But no matter how lighthearted and family-friendly the show gets, there will always be dynamic martial arts on display.
Season 6, Part 1 doesn't hold back at all. The teenagers of the Eagle Fang/Miyagi-Do coalition have to level up for the Sekai Taikai international competition in Barcelona. With that in mind, here are the best fights the show has to offer as it builds to the next two parts of the finale.

Miyagi-Do prepares for Sekai Taikai with six top students, leaving potential contenders behind. Miguel, Robby, and Sam lead the team with their unique skills, strengths, and determination. Tory and Kenny also show potential with their challenging backgrounds and promising growth.
The Sekai Taikai is the biggest event in karate in Cobra Kai, but I'm not so sure that Miyagi-Do is putting it's best foot forward for the competition. Cobra Kai has showcased the slow and steady improvements made by a group of teens trying to learn discipline and be a part of something bigger than themselves. Over the course of the show, people have changed sides, gone down darker paths, and picked themselves back up, but with the world's premiere karate competition looming around the corner, playtime is over.

It gets worse before it gets better.” Part 1 ended with Miyagi-Do and Cobra Kai preparing to face off at the Sekai Taikai, but Kreese (Martin Kove) had one last trick up his sleeve. Still reeling from the death of her mother, Tory jumped ship to Cobra Kai. Jacob Bertrand as Eli ‘Hawk’ Moskowitz in Cobra Kai Season...

I’m not sure if there’s a rulebook regarding how to watch a stand-up, but the first rule should always be: don’t go into it with any kind of presumption. When I read the description of the latest Neal Brennan comedy special on Netflix, titled Crazy Good, I didn’t expect it to be that hilarious. What I mean here is that I couldn’t imagine a stand-up that focuses on mental health, cryptocurrency, and the psychopathic tendencies of celebrities turning out to be “haha funny”—that too without being problematic. But Brennan has clearly managed to achieve that here. In Crazy Good, Brennan does get into everything that’s mentioned in the description provided by Netflix, and while he acknowledges the seriousness of so many of these matters, he also succeeds at getting some genuine laughter out of it. And it’s not an easy thing to do,...

Cobra Kai spins a gripping yarn of trust, resilience, and fierce rivalries among dojo members. Ralph Macchio and William Zabka step into the spotlight, reprising their iconic characters as Daniel Larusso and Johnny Lawrence, first introduced in the 1984 film The Karate Kid and its sequels, The Karate Kid Part II (1986) and The Karate Kid Part III (1989).
The spin-off series is set thirty-four years after his defeat by Daniel Larusso in the 1984 All-Valley Karate Tournament, with Johnny Lawrence, now in his 50s, grappling with alcoholism and depression. Rivalry is central in Cobra Kai. Lawrence & Larusso's feud impacts all relationships on the show. Johnny mentors Miguel, betraying his estranged son Robby who then joins Cobra Kai. Characters turn on friends: Hawk breaks Demetri's arm & double agent Mitch sides with Cobra Kai.
One of the central themes in Cobra Kai is trust, which makes it all the more intense when teammates, family members, and partners betray one another. The epic rivalry between Daniel Larusso and Johnny Lawrence may have started back in 1984 with The Karate Kid, but Cobra Kai continues the story decades later with both men still having unresolved issues. The early seasons of the show saw the pair come close to burying their history and becoming friends, but just as things appeared to be changing, they would have a massive fallout.

Xolo Maridueña, who plays Miguel Diaz, confirms that filming for Cobra Kai season 6 is set to resume very soon. Season 6, episode 1 has already been filmed, but filming was halted due to the SAG-AFTRA strike, which came to an end earlier this month. Cobra Kai season 6 will serve as the show's last and most of the core cast is expected to return, with a storyline that could be the most action-packed yet.
Cobra Kai star Xolo Maridueña provides a promising update regarding when season 6 is expected to continue filming. Serving as a continuation of the story first started in 1983's The Karate Kid, the series follows older versions of Ralph Macchio's Daniel Larusso and William Zabka's Johnny Lawrence, the latter of whom eventually trains Maridueña's Miguel Diaz. Cobra Kai first aired in 2018 and, after season 5 was released on Netflix last year, it was confirmed that the series would return for one final season.

“Cobra Kai never dies” – that may be true, but all good things must come to an end, including the hit Netflix show that announced the upcoming sixth season will be its last. The series that has quickly become a cult classic (just like the original film) centers around the premise of karate and the two different styles/variations of the martial art that Daniel Larusso (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) teach to their students. Despite airing more than thirty years after the original movie premiered, Cobra Kai has risen to be one of Netflix’s top shows of all time and will be sorely missed by it’s beloved fans.
Despite the inevitable disappointment from fans who would love to see the series continue on, audiences can rest assured knowing that the sixth and final season will be bigger and better than all the others, as promised by the shows creators.

Cobra Kai's fifth season is shaping up to be its most dramatic.
Netflix on Tuesday dropped the official trailer for Season 5, and it's a lot.

Hey, we won! Kreese will still be scheming from behind the scenes, which is perfectly on brand for him.
