Zendaya is easily one of the most star-studded actresses in the industry today, one who has established a truly commendable career within nearly one and a half decades. Not only is she a part of some of the most savagely raging franchises of the current day and age, but she has also managed to scoop multiple iconic accolades along the way as well.

Of course, with such a brilliantly led career, her net worth has skyrocketed and she is now the owner of a whopping $22 million Hollywood empire. But while her unparalleled beauty and incredibly admirable acting chops are ones to credit for her success, the real unsung hero behind this laudable career of hers is her elder sister, Katianna “Kizzi” Stoermer Coleman.

To residents in the no-stoplight town of Sutherland Springs, Texas, population 800, the First Baptist Church had always been a place of worship and a gathering spot for neighbors, friends and family.

He robbed the rural community about 30 miles southeast of San Antonio of its sense of peace and security.

Update: Another white guy from the South has done it: Trent Harmon won Season 15, making him our final American Idol. Both Trent and La'Porsha were strong talents, and Trent earned his fan support, but that makes 10 male winners and only five female winners in the history of the series. Is it just coincidence? Were the men just that much better or did the demographic shift toward favoring men over the course of the series? Four of the five women (Kelly, Fantasia, Carrie, Jordin) won their seasons in the first six years, and then we fell into the white guys with guitars trope that was occasionally just white guys from the South or cute white guys from wherever. Point to ponder: If Kelly Clarkson competed on a season in the past five or six years, would she have won?

Ken Shamrock has had a seen it all, done it all sort of career. He has been a Ufc champion, and appeared in the first ever Ufc event. He has been a Pancrase champion, wrestled in Japan, and went on to become an intercontinental champion in the WWE. As a pro wrestler, he was probably underrated. As a mixed martial artist, he was a pioneer – but time waits for no man.
Friday night at Bellator 149, Shamrock met longtime rival Royce Gracie, the man who beat him way back at Ufc 1, for the third time in their respective careers. The fifty-two year old Shamrock hadn’t won since 2010, and had recently lost to Kimbo Slice in Bellator. Gracie, however, hadn’t fought in over nine years, and at forty-nine years old himself and a decade removed from the action, it looked like Shamrock might finally get...

Not all Hollywood blockbusters are about rampaging dinosaurs, time-traveling cyborgs or spandex-clad heroes.
Some big-budget movies get by just fine focusing on real-life moments of danger and drama. "Apollo 13" is one of those films.
Released 20 years ago today on June 30, 1995, here are 20 things you need to know about how director Ron Howard and star Tom Hanks worked to deliver one of the best space movies in the history of always.
1. It may be one of the most iconic lines in movie history, but "Houston, we have a problem" isn't exactly what was said during the mission. Jim Lovell actually said, "Houston, we've had a problem." The edit was made for the film because "we've had" implies that the problem is over.
2. On that note, Jim Lovell wasn't the only astronaut to speak that famous line. Jack Swigert first radioed in with "Okay, Houston -- we've had a problem here.

"American Idol" returned on Wednesday (January 7) night to somewhat tepid ratings and with a one-hour episode that was almost entirely devoid of likely breakout talent. Fox posted the first episode online for critics and then wisely posted the second, which is airing tonight. The move was wise because, as you'll soon see, Thursday's episode is much, much better. There are three or four contestants who appeared on Thursday's episode and seem like plausible Finalists. So click through and follow along as I recap the highlights and lowlights. [Key Warning: It turned out yesterday that the Fox-provided screener for the premiere wasn't exactly what aired. It was mostly what aired, but apparently I saw some singing viewers didn't get. And vice versa. So take this recap, especially the time-code, with a grain of salt. Hopefully the people I liked will make it to air.] 00:00:00 Is it my screener or are we starting with some righteous "Inception"-style bass? I guess that adds some drama to the reminder that "Idol" makes stars and that it's about the kids, not gimmicks or judges. But really, it's making me believe that "Idol" is all about the bass. 00:02:00 We're beginning again in Nashville. The judges want to find a superstar.

Jake Wood and Janette Manrara have become the 11th couple to be eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing.
The EastEnders actor and his professional partner found themselves in the dance-off against reality star Mark Wright and his partner Karen Hauer, after the judges' scores were combined with viewer votes.
It was the first time that Wood and Manrara had been in the dance-off, while it was Wright and Hauer's third time in the bottom two.
Wood and Manrara reprised their cha-cha to Kc and the Sunshine Band's 'Boogie Shoes', while Wright and Hauer performed their rumba to Eva Cassidy's 'Fields of Gold'.
Craig Revel Horwood decided to save Wright and Hauer, but Darcey Bussell and Bruno Tonioli opted to keep Wood and Manrara.
Head judge Len Goodman - left with the casting vote - sent Wood home, explaining: "This is very difficult. The cha-cha-cha had little cha-cha-cha content and the rumba had little rumba content,...

After the huge success of "Breaking Bad," many were very interested in seeing which direction Aaron Paul would take his career. His big studio film was "Need For Speed," but before that smash-em-up film played there was a smaller, more intimate tale of a father trying to do right by his young, rebellious son.
Kat Candler's "Hellion" played well at Sundance, and this stark independent film is now making its way to home video this month. Last January, Moviefone Canada got to speak with Paul about this project, and we were joined by Candler as well as the young lead, Josh Wiggins.
Much of the conversation surrounded discussion of Wiggins, an actor Aaron was almost evangelical about in his enthusiasm.
Moviefone Canada: Mr. Paul, you've been a huge proponent of Josh's work -- what does Josh's performance mean to you, and what did you see in his performance that...

As the temps continue to fall, the studios inch closer to serious film time (and Oscar season) by releasing another movie with the nebulous ad line “inspired by true events”. That phrase has been attached to everything from the Nicholas Sparks adapted weeper The Vow to sports flicks such as Million Dollar Arm, often basing the story on just part of an incident. But for this new release the phrase could be amended to “inspired by ongoing true events”. Like 2011′s Machine Gun Preacher, this new film concerns the ongoing conflicts in the Sudan in North Africa. Now the title of this new film is somewhat ironic. It refers to a literary work read by one of the characters, but the title could also be a comment on the film’s marketing, which we’ll discuss a bit later. First let’s explore The Good Lie.

When "Saturday Night Live" returns for a new episode on Jan. 18 with Drake as host and musical guest, get ready to see a new face: Sasheer Zamata has joined the cast, Deadline reports.
Zamata trained at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in New York, and will be the first black female "Saturday Night Live" cast member since Maya Rudolph. In fact, the lack of female black cast members on the NBC sketch show prompted many to criticize the show's lack of diversity, especially when all six new cast members added this season were white. That kick-started a talent search by executive producer Lorne Michaels to add an African-American woman to the cast.
Zamata won the jackpot and will now be a featured player on the show. She beat out fellow finalists Tanisha Long ("Girl Code"), Gabrielle Denis ("The Game"), Bresha Webb, Misty Monroe, Natasha Rothwell, Amber Ruffin, Leslie Jones and Briana Kc.

All it took was prolonged Internet rage for "Saturday Night Live" to actively seek out black female performers for the cast. When it was announced that six new cast members would join the current season, all of whom are white, many took the show to task for its lack of diversity. "SNL" cast member Kenan Thompson claimed the problem was a lack of talent more than anything else.
In response to the criticism, the show held auditions for African-American women on the east and west coasts in early December. Executive producer Lorne Michaels tells the New York Times that as many as two people will be considered to join the show after a final audition of seven to eight candidates on the "SNL" stage.

It was the battle of the American Idol alumni last night and Simon Cowell took Ryan Seacrest down. Beyond that, host Seacrest was probably just glad that a $2.6 million winner was declared on The Million Second Quiz (1.4/4) and the show’s time was up after 11 days. And compared to the week before and the night before, Msq ended up. The live multi-night multi-platform ratings flop came to an end last night with a two-hour show that rose 27% from both its September 18 and its September 12 show last week. In preliminary numbers, Thursday’s result was the best the limp Msq has done in since its second night on September 10. As an additional programing note, the Kansas City Chiefs match-up with the Philadelphia Eagles was shown on NBC’s Kc affiliate and by an ABC station in the City of Brotherly Love so expect an adjustment in the final numbers later today.

If you haven't already heard someone suggest, "Let's go to Paris'. I wanna rob," then, sorry, we don't know where you've been for the past few months. The Sofia Coppola-directed film "The Bling Ring" opens nationally this weekend, and the film's infinitely quotable, meme-ready lines are like catnip to the selfie-snapping, celebrity-obsessed zeitgeist. The film follows the titular ring, a teenage gang that allegedly walked casually into celebrities' homes — armed with TMZ-gleaned knowledge that the stars are out of town — and back out with armfuls of designer goods, jewelry and more. The real-life burglars even made off with Orlando Bloom's rug.
