It was discovered that one of the 13-year-old subjects, Abdullah Al-Yazouri, is the son of Hamas’ deputy minister of agriculture.

A statement from the corp, which can be read in full here, said it takes “full responsibility” for “unacceptable flaws” in commissioning the program, stating that production company behind the doc Hoyo Films acknowledged that the BBC were not informed of Abdullah Al-Yazouri’s Hamas ties. The Sun newspaper reports that an anonymous claimant on February 6 lodged a personal injury sexual abuse case for damages.

The BBC has revealed that the producers behind the controversial Gaza: How to Survive a Warzone doc were aware of the narrator’s links to Hamas.

In an unprecedented in-depth statement following a BBC Board meeting, a BBC spokesperson said producer Hoyo Films, which is run by the doc’s director Jamie Roberts, have “acknowledged since transmission that they knew that the boy’s father was a Deputy Agriculture Minister in the Hamas Government.”

The BBC said it identified serious flaws in the doc, with some of the flaws made by the production company and some the responsibility of the BBC.

“BBC News takes full responsibility for these and the impact that these have had on the Corporation’s reputation,” said the spokesperson. “We apologise for this.”

The show will remain off iPlayer and will not be repeated until an in-depth review is completed by Peter Johnston, who conducted the recent probe into Russell Brand.

This marks the fourth consecutive week the musical has built upon its grosses, since opening Oct. 20. And, as was the case last week, the backlash against Nicole Scherzinger for commenting on what appeared to be a pro-Trump social media post by comedian Russell Brand seems to be minimal. 

The grosses tally makes Sunset Blvd. the second highest grossing production in the industry last week, behind only Wicked, which brought in $2.4 million. The Lion King, which is typically in the second highest spot, saw its grosses tumble about $160,000 to reach just under $1.8 million.

Broadway’s hit musical revival Sunset Blvd. stayed strong last week amidst the controversy surrounding star Nicole Scherzinger’s social media post interpreted (or rather misinterpreted) by many as an endorsement of Donald Trump.

The latest Broadway grosses (for the week ending November 10) indicate that Sunset Blvd. was up $134,498 over the previous week. With attendance at the St. James Theatre at 97% of capacity (compared to 95% the previous week), the show’s total gross was a very strong $1,857,562.

In fact, the weekly gross for Sunset Blvd. was the Broadway roster’s third-highest for the week, behind only the usual favorites The Lion King ($1.9M) and perennial top grosser Wicked ($2.5M).

Scherzinger, in case you somehow missed it, set off a backlash last week after posting a response to Maga comedian and accused sexual assaulter Russell Brand, with Scherzinger asking where she, too, could get a red ball cap inscribed with “Make Jesus First Again.

The View hosts on Monday defended Broadway star Nicole Scherzinger after the singer-actress faced backlash for her comment on an Instagram post from Russell Brand.

Scherzinger’s Instagram account commented on a recent post from Brand, the controversial comedian and podcaster who faces numerous allegations of sexual assault, just days after last Tuesday’s presidential election. Brand’s post featured a photo of the comedian, who recently converted to Christianity, holding a red hat that said “Make Jesus First Again” with the hat resembling Donald Trump’s “Make America Great Again” caps.

In response to the photo, Scherzinger appeared to have replied in a since-deleted comment, “Where do I get this hat!!!?” The Sunset Boulevard star apologized for the comment on social media Friday, when she wrote in a lengthy statement that “many presumptions are being drawn, which do not reflect who I am, what I stand for, or who I voted for.
