The network is developing a drama series based on Candice Fox’s 2023 novel Fire With Fire, which would star This Is Us alum Jon Huertas. According to our sister site Deadline, which first reported the project, Huertas will also executive-produce alongside The Rookie creator Alexi Hawley, while onetime Arrow co-showrunner Wendy Mericle will write the script.

Exclusive: NBC is developing a drama starring Jon Huertas, who will executive produce alongside The Rookie and The Recruit creator Alexi Hawley.
Former Arrow co-showrunner Wendy Mericle is writing the untitled project based on the novel Fire with Fire by bestselling author Candice Fox.
Executive producer Sherry Marsh acquired the rights to the book while under her deal at eOne. The company’s Mike Lombardo and Jackie Sacerio optioned the title. It comes from Lionsgate Television, where Hawley is under an overall deal, and Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group.
Huertas and Mericle executive produce alongside Hawley, through Perfectman Pictures and Marsh for Marsh Entertainment. Perfectman’s Rachel Abarbanell will co-executive produce.

Australian series Troppo will travel across Europe, thanks to new deals for the crime drama starring Thomas Jane and Nicole Chamoun.
Canal+ Group’s thriller channel Polar+ snatched up pay, streaming and sell-through rights to it for French-speaking territories, and AMC Networks Central Europe acquired free, pay and streaming rights for the show, which premiered on Australia’s ABC and debuted on Amazon Freevee in the U.S. in May 2022.

According to Deadline, Metz will topline Help Me Rhonda, a new series based on James Patterson's and Candice Fox's hit novel 2 Sisters Detective Agency.

Exclusive: Lionsgate has acquired the upcoming action-thriller One Ranger, which stars Thomas Jane and John Malkovich. The studio is handling sales at the upcoming American Film Market.
In One Ranger, a highly skilled Texas Ranger (Jane) is recruited by British Intelligence to track down an extremely dangerous terrorist and stop him from unleashing a major attack on London. The pic, written and directed by Jesse V. Johnson, also stars Dean S. Jagger and Dominique Tipper.
