According to Peacock, a revival of the supernatural drama “Grimm” is under development. David Greenwalt and Jim Kouf, the original show’s writers and showrunners, will return for this new project. Josh Berman, who has written for “Drop Dead Diva,” “CSI,” and “The Blacklist,” is writing the project.

Not much is known about the revival yet. Talks are going on right now about whether it will be a full-length movie or a new series. Sean Hayes and Todd Milliner are the original executive directors of the production team. Milliner’s Hazy Mills Productions and Universal Television are running the project.

Reboots of much loved television shows are nothing new; in fact, they seem to be in vogue at the moment, with the likes of teen shows iCarly, Zoey 101 and The Thundermans all being produced in recent years, as well as dramas like Monk and the hit sitcom, Frasier.

Meanwhile, Grimm is the latest drama to get the reboot treatment.

According to Deadline, a feature length television film is in development at Peacock. If you’re not familiar, the show was a fantasy drama which followed Portland Homicide detective Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli), who discovers he is a Grimm, the latest in a line of guardians who are sworn to keep the balance between humanity and mythological creatures.

Peacock is heading back to the well to revive another hit NBC series from the past. Next up for the streaming service is a new movie that will revisit 14-year-old TV show Grimm.

Per Deadline, it's been revealed that a reboot movie of Grimm is now in development. Josh Berman (Drop Dead Diva) is attached to write the film. As of now, the premise of the film hasn't been revealed, and it's not clear how it will tie into the original series. Reportedly, the film is meant to connect to the TV show in some fashion as a way to be satisfactory for diehard fans, but it's also believed to be written in a way that's accessible for people who never saw the original Grimm. Potentially, the film could launch a new franchise, depending upon how well it is received.

January Jones is joining the debate over self-tape audition practices in Hollywood.

The “Mad Men” alum took to her Instagram Stories to call out fees to audition and the issue of sending in self-tapes as opposed to in-person readings. “Note to Hollywood: It’s time for casting directors to come back into the office like everyone else. To audition actors in person,” Jones wrote on Instagram (via Variety). “And if anyone asks for a Fee to audition please know that this is criminal and Pathetic.”

Exclusive: Hazy Mill Productions, the production company behind Sean Hayes and Todd Milliner, is ramping up its podcast slate.

The company, which is behind Hayes’ HypochondriActor series and upcoming show The Randy Rainbow Podcast, has new series from Eric McCormack and the cast of Grimm.

Hayes’ Will & Grace co-star McCormack has teamed up with Chicago Med’s Steven Weber for a celebrity dinner guest series. The pair, who have been friends since the TV Guide days, have spent twenty years arguing, laughing, singing, bitching and dining and will now do it on a podcast. Each episode, Eric and Steven will invite two celebrity guests over for dinner and together they will talk about their love of good food and the behind the scenes stories of their lives in entertainment.

Law & Order will delve into some personal stuff in Season 22.

After kicking off the year as part of the big crossover with Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Law & Order: Organized Crime, the new season will delve into cases ripped from the headlines.

That includes one that tackles a monumental Supreme Court decision and how it affects law in New York City.

However, another episode will focus on Price’s past when a woman from his life reenters as part of a challenging case involving a mass shooting.

Also, a focus will be on Kate Dixon using a special skill to solve a crime that’s tied to her family life.

With a focus on the personal lives of the characters alongside the usual thrilling castes, Season 22 is going to be a big one for the show.

Hello, fellow Grimmsters, and welcome to the sixth and final season of Grimm, abbreviated though it may be.

Grimm Season 6 Episode 1 picked up right where the last season left off before leading us on an admittedly enjoyable thrill ride as Nick evaded capture by Renard.

Oh, and there was some weird stuff involving the magic stick, its cloth, and a dead Wesen? Yeah.

There was barely a chance to take a breath at all during this episode, and the mostly tight story kept the tension properly ramped up for the situation.

And what a crazy situation it was! I am honestly disappointed that Renard didn't take advantage of the perfect opportunity to redeem himself from last season. Here, he dove right off the deep end and well past the moral event horizon.

NBC announced today Grimm Season 6 would be its last.

This is hardly unexpected news, even if it is not the news any Grimm fans want to hear.

While it's been said that tightening up a season of a genre show can give it more focus and leaves less room for filler episodes that sometimes wander aimlessly throughout a season, Grimm has never really been a great offender in that area.

In recent seasons, their storylines have been well focused and even cases of the week seemed to tie into the overall arcs.

That's why the news came as a bit of a shock that Grimm Season 6 was not only being held for a January premiere but would only consist of 13 episodes.

But once the shock of that wore off, the reality set in. Grimm could be coming to an end.

The upcoming sixth season of NBC’s “Grimm” will be its last, the network announced Monday. The 13 episode season will premiere Friday, Jan. 6 at 8 p.m. Leading into the final season, Nick (David Giuntoli) faced a familiar foe in Capt. Sean Renard (Sasha Roiz). As Mayer of Portland, Renard is poised to bring rise to his own brand of law and order, and Nick must take a stand to protect his city and those closest to him, especially his child with Adalind (Claire Coffee). When Grimm returns for its sixth season this fall, adversaries Nick and Captain Mayor Renard will take a page from the bros at Entourage and engage in a healing, “five-minute hug,” star Sasha Roiz predicts. (Sure, and if you believe that, we’ve got a Bauerschwein we’d like to sell ya.)

When Flula Borg showed up in the Pitch Perfect 2 trailer I found myself smiling at his success. It was a cameo keen to capitalize on his YouTube DJ fame and unabashedly broken English Chatty Cathy vibe, but it was studio film exposure nonetheless. This cemented the fact that I had become a fan of this crazy German and as such jumped at the chance to see how he’d do as co-lead and co-writer of his own vehicle. Just as the prospect interested me, however, it’ll surely infuriate others. Flula’s shtick is not universally palatable and Buddymoon does sink or swim depending on your enjoyment of it. But that’s okay. This thing was shot in ten days amongst friends. It’s not trying to take the world by storm.

NBC has renewed “Grimm” for a sixth season, the broadcast network announced Tuesday. “We absolutely love what our producers and cast have accomplished over the past five seasons,” said NBC Entertainment President Jennifer Salke in a statement. “They have created a whole new world of creatures and have a truly devoted fan base. We can’t wait to see what comes next.” As the nefarious forces of Black Claw take hold of Portland, Nick (David Giuntoli) must take a stand to protect his city and those closest to him, especially his child with Adalind (Claire Coffee). It will take the full force.

The votes are in, and if you have your way, the 2016-17 broadcast TV season will again be populated by agents Mulder, Scully and Carter.
