Priscilla Moy was born in Chicago, IL to Cook County Sheriff Albert Moy & Administrative Assistant Janet Moy. She is the oldest of two; her younger brother Christian is a zoologist. She grew up in Chicago Chinatown where she attended St. Therese Chinese Catholic School while being a parishioner at the sister Catholic Church. This school was notorious for being run as a military school by then principal and extremely strict. During her years there, she grew a silent interest in fashion (although wearing uniforms) and the arts and would draw sketches of clothing designs at her grandmothers house. She experienced extensive bullying at school which later carried over when moving to the suburb of Lemont, IL in her mid teens. It was in this suburban town where she experienced racism and learning how being Asian was essential to her identity. At the age of 15/16, she began taking the leaps into the fashion and acting industry. She knew she wanted to be an actress and a model and would study the craft at home. She was known for rebelling against her bullies by being eccentric in her daily outfits and would be the only one to wear heels to school. She began her acting career on the stage doing plays and musicals. She was a part of the drama club, the speech team, poms squad, the NHS and training as a gymnast.(Up until the age of 18.) Priscilla knew her biggest struggles would be her ethnicity and her height. At 5'2, she was incredibly too petite to even walk into modeling agencies to show her interest to become a model. It was during all of these other endeavors that she would start freelancing and creative directing her own photoshoots around the city and suburbs of Chicago. She used her fashion knowledge and self-trained dynamic poses to create avant-garde photoshoots. She knew that in order to be taken seriously, she would have to work hard at being the best and to not be recognized by her height, but by her talent. At 18, she auditioned and was accepted into the BFA Acting department at Illinois Wesleyan University. A private university located in Bloomington, IL, they were renowned for having an extensive theatre program that consisted of four degree fields. Although having a love for the camera and wanting to pursue a career as a film actress, she wanted the best acting training possible. She took on a minor in theatre dance where she trained in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Modern, Contemporary, Dance History and Dance Composition. She choreographed multiple pieces and performed in many dance concerts as well as working on each seasons plays and musicals. She was known as the actor that no one knew "where to put." She experienced feeling like she didn't belong because she didn't fit the stereotype as a theatre actor compared to her colleagues. She did a lot of backstage work- building the sets, light crew, wardrobe crew and run crew. All of this was done to achieve her degree while also having Gen Ed studies. In March of 2012, while backstage of a play she learned of the tragic passing of her best college friend Brandon Landau. Being one of her closest friends and biggest supporters, it was an event that would change her forever. It is known that this pushed her to want to succeed even harder considering he was someone who truly believed in her when it felt no one else did. In 2015, Priscilla had graduated and earned her BFA in Acting degree with a minor in Theatre Dance. During the SETC conference in Memphis, TN she was offered a theatre management position in a small theatre located in New Hampshire, which she turned down. It felt everyone wanted to make her do everything except what her dreams were and what she worked so hard to achieve. For three years she would stay in Chicago continuing to work on her modeling portfolio and learn the transition from the Theatre Industry to Film Industry. She auditioned for roles in Chicago Med, Chicago, P.D., Chicago Law and Empire. She landed one of her first commercials in an ad for the dating app Bumble. In 2019, Priscilla made the move to Las Vegas, NV where she now resides. She brought with her an extensive portfolio and resume along with years of industry smarts and training. She immediately signed with multiple non-exclusive agencies and started landing gigs in commercials, films, TV shows and something that seemed so impossible: Runway. As her agency list grew, so did her resume. She continued to creative direct her own photoshoots and started booking brand ambassador deals for skin care brands, clothing brands and even food. In 2022, she was introduced to the Executive Producer of a network called "Social Media Shows". Her first interview on the network was on "Live with Ninon" where she discussed briefly her past and current roles. After impressing the production team she was offered to host the Red Carpet of the "3rd Annual Achievement Awards" hosted at the College of Southern Nevada on September 17, 2023. Little did she know that this was her audition to something bigger. She was offered to take over as the host of a show called "Undiscovered" on the network. This show included interviewing entrepreneurs and talent in Las Vegas and getting their stories out to the public. After multiple successful episodes and interviews, she received backlash about the name of the show. Artists in town did not like that they were labeled "undiscovered" so Priscilla re-branded and came up with a new name. Now known as "The Hot Seat", she dazzles her viewers with her unpredictable outfits and guests. Although Priscilla is successful in her own right and being cast as leads in films, she continues to fight against her never ending injustices. She has received countless episodes of harassment and abuse on film/photoshoot sets and on social media. She has experienced racist and verbally abusive agents and has now begun to use her voice to point out on why it's unacceptable. She has amassed a big social media following on Instagram where she shares not only her work and daily life but is open about her difficulties in the industry. A lot of them not only include the stories of abuse but also the torment she receives of the people around her copying every move she makes. After working so hard to build her career by herself, she watches how she still is looked down upon. She hopes that her platform and rise to success will make a change in the treatment of people in the entertainment and fashion industry. She states how she feels blessed she was never given any favoritism and had to fight her way to earn any recognition she has now. Her goals are to be one of the greats and didn't mind if she has to do it alone. Her dynamic modeling styles are attributed to her athleticism and the need to be different in order to stand out. She practices the acting method of Stanislavsky while also having tactical, stage combat and stunt training under her belt. She is now known as a Fashion/Runway model, Film Actress and TV/Red Carpet Host. She hopes to not only achieve the highest standing in those categories but wants to one day be a name in fashion as a designer and style icon. She says, "If I didn't do what I do now, I would probably be a stylist or Fashion Designer." She is also head of Marketing at her family businesses, Bingo Tea and Claypot Eats. They are both located in Chicago Chinatown. As a hobby, she is a painter and artist and her medium is acrylic on canvas. As a hobby, she is a painter and artist and her medium is acrylic on canvas.
