Max has just unveiled the trailer for its latest original film, “The Parenting,” a genre-bending mix of screwball comedy and haunted house thrills, featuring a stellar ensemble cast. The film, set to stream on March 13th, 2025, offers a unique twist with a plot that blends eerie supernatural elements with family drama and humor.

“The Parenting” revolves around Rohan (played by Nik Dodani) and Josh (played by Brandon Flynn), a young couple who organize a weekend retreat in the countryside to introduce their parents to each other.

The plan quickly unravels as the couple, along with their quirky Bff Sara (Vivian Bang), must contend with not just familial clashes but a sinister presence in their vacation rental. Tension escalates between the conservative pair, Sharon (Edie Falco) and Frank (Brian Cox), and the more easygoing Liddy (Lisa Kudrow) and Cliff (Dean Norris), when they discover the house is haunted by a 400-year-old poltergeist.

Apple TV+ has debuted the first official trailer for Doug Liman's The Instigators, an upcoming heist thriller starring Academy Award-winners and Boston natives Matt Damon (Good Will Hunting; The Martian; The Departed) and Casey Affleck (Manchester by the Sea; Oppenheimer; The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford) in the lead roles as two thieves who, after a botched robbery, are forced to go on the run with their therapist (Academy Award-nominee Hong Chau).
