Jewell R. Powell(I)

Jewell R. Powell is an author, entrepreneur, inspirational teacher, and now a filmmaker with a heart and passion for helping Christians grow in their faith. Jewell graduated from Potomac High School in 1984. She attended the University of MD/University College where she studied Business and earned a B.S. degree in Management. While working on her undergraduate studies full-time, she also worked full-time at the U.S. Postal Service, as a Contracting Officer (retired in 2021). Mrs. Powell furthered her education at Florida Institute of Technology where she received an M.S. in Contracts Management in 1998. She also earned an A.A. from the V.C.M.I. School of Ministry where she was the Valedictorian of her class. Mrs. Powell is a licensed minister. Much of her life message is based on the power of faith, hope, and love in which her writings so eloquently portray. She is the author of Marriage 101: Building a Life Together by Faith (originally published by Revell Books February 2009) that offers hope and guidance to help transform broken marriages using biblical wisdom in a simple workbook format which is used as a great resource for premarital and marriage counseling. Marriage 101 was the first marriage book with a curriculum written for the African American Christian market. Jewell has also written An Open Invitation: Bride, Make Yourself Ready! in 2021. God revealed the word 'recalibrate' as an acronym, based on eleven foundational biblical principles, to recalibrate His church to prepare them for the second coming of Jesus. He gave her the blueprint based on the ancient Jewish wedding as a guide to unlock the mystery of the Royal Wedding. The book is free at her website www.kingdomreignministries.com. Her debut film Unfailing Love is a Christian Romantic Drama based on the book of Hosea. It's a modern-day love story of a faithful husband and his relentless pursuit of his unfaithful wife coming to a theater near you in March 2023. In her spare time, she devours books, loves to shop and spend time with her family. Jewell lives with her husband, Lewis, and two beautiful daughters in PG County Maryland.
