Nexstar Media Group is reviving its annual New Year’s Eve countdown special and fireworks show from Las Vegas, the company said on Tuesday.

The special, called “Coast-to-Coast Countdown to 2025,” will be produced by Klas-tv (Channel 8), Nexstar’s CBS affiliate in Las Vegas, and will feature guest appearances and performances, a countdown to midnight and a fireworks show over the iconic Las Vegas strip.

In addition to the countdown in Las Vegas, the show will spotlight New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day festivities from throughout the United States, fronted in large part by coverage from Nexstar-owned or operated stations in major markets like New York, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Honolulu, Denver and Tampa.

A&e Networks has revealed a slate of new projects, with more than 2,500 hours of programming and a star-studded cast on and off screen.

Among these projects, presented as part of the company’s Upfront presentation to advertisers, the History Channel announced a new initiative to reflect American history and stories in honor of the 250th anniversary of the United States, including Kevin Coster’s “The West.”

According to the show’s logline, the eight-episode documentary series will “transcend the clichés and myths of the ‘Wild West’ to capture the diverse, complex characters and untold stories that defined the era and continue to shape our country today.”

After conquering primetime, Anthony Anderson and Cedric the Entertainer have their sights on prime beef. The actors are partnering to launch their own barbecue label, AC Barbeque, and will document their quest to perfect the skill of the grill via the new A&e Network series “Kings of BBQ.”

The series, which is still being developed under that working title, will follow the pals as they travel the country looking for advice and techniques from barbeque experts. A&e announced the greenlight of the 10-episode unscripted series on Wednesday as part of a flurry of news tied to its upfront meetings with advertisers.

I have to admit that, much like a good portion of Netlfix users, I did not have high hopes for “Is It Cake?” based on initial previews. The streaming reality TV competition showcases contestants creating cakes that replicate common objects in an effort to trick celebrity judges. Winners of each episode receive 5,000 and a chance to win more money by identifying which display of cash is real and which is cake.

Ellen DeGeneres will return to stand up comedy after a 15 year hiatus in her new Netflix special “Relatable,” filmed at Seattle’s Benaroya Hall. The new special will debut on Netflix on Dec.

Exclusive: Rogers & Cowan has tapped Rob Greenwald as Vice President on their talent team, and he’ll be spearheading a new comedy division at the public relations firm as well as work with their sports and talent clientele.

Greenwald, a former Forefront Media executive of six years who rose through the ranks to Vice President, works with two-time Primetime Emmy winner Tony Hale from HBO’s Veep, as well as Jim Gaffigan and Rob Riggle, who respectively recently starred in Chappaquiddick and Midnight Sun. Greenwald just signed queer luminary comedienne Cameron Esposito whose credits includes the comedy series Take My Wife, Maron and features The Hero and Mother’s Day.

Louis Tomlinson is slowly getting back to business.

During an interview with The Insider’s Michael Yo on SiriusXM's Hits 1 on Tuesday, the One Direction singer recalled how his mother, Johannah Deakin, urged him to continue to pursue his music career after she was diagnosed with cancer.

"It's not something that I feel 100 percent comfortable talking too much about, but just quickly, when I first found out about the news I kind of did want to throw the towel in," he said.

Following a string of bizarre antics in recent weeks that included wearing a paper bag over his head on the red carpet of the weekend premiere of his new film Nymphomaniac in Berlin, Shia Labeouf has now launched a new performance art installation in Los Angeles.

The 27-year-old star has rented gallery space that will showcase the exhibit -- called #IAmSorry -- which will be open to the public from Tuesday through Sunday at 7354 Beverly Boulevard, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
