  • She loves to figure skate in her spare time, and has been in a few figure skating competitions.
  • McCurdy confirmed in Feb. 2021 that she was done with acting and will now focus on writing and directing. She revealed she never liked acting and only got into it because her family didn't have a lot of money and she was the main breadwinner by age 10 or 11. She also admitted she regrets some of her most iconic roles and she's ashamed of them.

  • Her mother, Debra, battled recurrences of breast cancer, which first occurred in March 1996, and thought cured after a bone marrow transplant, chemotherapy, breast surgery, and radiation sessions [June 2011], but she died on Sept. 20, 2013.

  • She was inspired to become an actress by Harrison Ford after watching Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope (1977). She was fortunate enough to be able to act alongside her idol in Hollywood Homicide (2003).
  • Revealed in her autobiography "I'm glad my mother died" that her biological father is Andy Martin.
