She loves to figure skate in her spare time, and has been in a few figure skating competitions.

McCurdy confirmed in Feb. 2021 that she was done with acting and will now focus on writing and directing. She revealed she never liked acting and only got into it because her family didn't have a lot of money and she was the main breadwinner by age 10 or 11. She also admitted she regrets some of her most iconic roles and she's ashamed of them.
