He takes a room that’s Silver Lake adjacent, in a house shared by landlord Jose (Amaury Nolasco) and single mother Louisa (Valerie Cruz). When Jose suggests that he visits a local bar in order to take his mind off his ex and perhaps treat his writer’s block with some new experiences, he meets Seth (Finn Wittrock), a mysterious, motivated stranger who promises to do both.

The Loft is a remake of a 2008 Belgian film in which fFive friends who share a loft for their extramarital affairs begin to question one another after the body of an unknown woman is found in the property. The film was originally set to hit theaters in August, but Universal yanked it from the calendar back in June. Now a new international trailer for the film arrives as it appears it will find its way to theaters on January 23, 2015. Directed by Erik Van Looy, the film features a massive ensemble cast including Karl Urban, James Marsden, Isabel Lucas, Rhona Mitra, Rachael Taylor, Eric Stonestreet, Margarita Levieva, Kristin Lehman, Matthias Schoenaerts, Valerie Cruz and Robert Wisdom. The whole thing sounds like a mess and the release date movement makes it seem as if it's a troubled picture, but I can't deny a fair amount of curiosity and want to see it.

"The Following" once again threw viewers for an intense loop on Monday (Feb. 10) night's episode, "Family Affair."
When Joe Carroll (James Purefoy) snuck into an unsuspecting suburban housewife's home and stole her baby to wait outside in the backyard, fans expected the worst. Would Joe kill the baby? Steal it and go on the run? At best, he'd leave the baby alive and just murder the housewife (not exactly a "best" scenario).
But when Joe turned around and showed his face to the scared woman, instead of screaming she smiled and ran to give him a hug.
Yup, this woman was yet another one of Joe's followers.
Meet Jana Murphy (Leslie Bibb), the cult member who was waiting for Joe to show up a year ago so she could give him a new passport and money to help him escape into that good night. Of course, now we know Joe...

The Following, Season 2, Episode 4
Written by Brett Mahoney
Directed by Marcos Siega
Airs Mondays at 9pm (Et) on Fox
“Scars make people more interesting”
Family seems to be the driving force of The Following this season. There’s Mark and Luke’s (Sam Underwood) unhealthy obsession with a proper family, Emma (Valorie Curry) has always desired a place where she belonged, and Lily (Connie Nielsen) has created a family for herself, all of whom seem as transfixed with Joe (James Purefoy) as she is.
The Following has been on a roll this season. It’s been quick, smart, dark, and witty. In a lot of ways (with all the followers split up, Ryan struggling with the loss of Claire, and Joe slowly coming out of hiding), this is a rewrite for the show. So far it’s been working exceptionally well. “Family Affair”, though, is a misstep. It seems like filler,...

Emma and Joe reunited with Lily’s help, and Max and Ryan Hardy get a trace on Gisele in The Following’s “Family Affair.”
Max (Jessica Stroup) and Ryan (Kevin Bacon) talk about Lily’s (Connie Nielsen) double life the morning following Ryan’s realization that she is a conspirator of the Subway Murders, not a victim. Looking at Lily’s record, Max just doesn’t understand how a successful at dealer ends up courting a serial murderer. Ryan, however, has it all figured out. She made herself a victim because she knew that Ryan had a habit of over-identifying with the victims and she wanted to get close to him. But why go through all that trouble in the first place when Joe’s ‘following’ has been destroyed by Joe’s death, asks Max. Ryan and Mike started working together again and Emma joined the new group of followers in The Following “Trust Me.”
The episode began with Judy coming home to find Mandy (Tiffany Boone) and Joe (James Purefoy) standing over the Reverend’s dead, bloody body. Mandy was hoping to untie the Reverend, wrap him up in the carpet and dispose of him before her mom got back – “resourceful,” quipped Joe. Judy (Carrie Preston) walks in on them just as they are getting started and she is more than disappointed that Joe has gone back to his killing ways.
Ryan And Mike Work Together
In New York, Ryan Hardy (Kevin Bacon) wakes up with a start. It’s dark in his apartment, but he can feel the presence of an intruder. He goes to search the apartment and comes face to face with Joe Carroll. He shoots, but Joe is immortal and stabs him.
