The following contains spoilers for Solo Leveling Season 2, Episode 11, “It’s Going to Get Even More Intense”.
As of Solo Leveling Season 2, Sung Jinwoo is far from the person he once was at the start of the anime. Jinwoo has done unspeakable things in the name of survival, and has brushed with death in more ways than one. Solo Leveling Season 2, Episode 11, “It’s Going to Get Even More Intense”, features less of Jinwoo than any other episode in the series so far, and yet it subtly shows the audience a deeper part of him through a dark mirror it places on the main villain, the Ant King.
While the similarities are subtle at first, they all build up to paint a clear picture of how Sung Jinwoo’s personal journey of growth in an unforgiving world finds its perfect parallel in Jeju Island’s Ant King. From its themes,...

The following contains spoilers for Solo Leveling Season 2, Episode 11, “It’s Going to Get Even More Intense.”
Solo Leveling has been in a precarious position following Season 2's most recent episodes. Despite taking place in the lead-up to the anime's most highly anticipated arc, Solo Leveling Season 2 Episodes 9 and 10 received the most dislikes on Crunchyroll of any episodes in the series by far, only outdone by Season 1’s Episode 7.5 filler episode. This seemed to suggest the anime was in a bit of trouble, but Solo Leveling Season 2, Episode 11 (Episode 23 overall) titled its episode with the reassuring promise that “It’s Going to Get Even More Intense;” and it wasn’t a lie.
Solo Leveling Season 2, Episode 11 begins by picking up exactly where the previous episode’s horrifying cliffhanger left off: with Japan’s “Charlie” Team being mercilessly slaughtered by an unforeseen new foe. This new villain turns out to be...

There are many anime that have been remembered for their specialties, be it a unique take on a genre, satire, an unusual protagonist, or anything else. When Guilty Crown aired in 2011, it had everything going for it—it was a unique story, exceptional visuals, stunning Ost (Original Soundtrack), but now most people might not even have heard about it.

The Director, Tetsuro Araki, said that it was a masterpiece that was not understood and was criticized. In his words- ‘We did amazing work, yet it was called crappy.’ Let us delve in and see what Guilty Crown did wrong.

It goes without saying that Solo Leveling(also known as "Only I Level Up"in South Korea) is the biggest anime of the moment. Based on the hit web novel written by Chugong and the equally popular webtoon illustrated by Jang Sung-rak (aka Dubu), Solo Leveling took the world by storm when it was turned into a massively successful anime in 2024. It also helps that the incredibly talented A-1 Studios animated the story, and none other than Hiroyuki Sawano scored the series.
With this in mind,it brings me no joy to say that, two seasons in, Solo Leveling is one of — if not — the most overrated anime I've seen in recent memory. That's not to say that it's bad or that it's somehow unwatchable. With the right mindset, Solo Leveling can be enjoyable and even exhilarating. It's also undeniably one of the best-made and best-looking anime airing right now.

Film producer and distributor Shochiku celebrated its 130th anniversary at an event this week, spotlighting its upcoming slate of both live-action and anime titles. Per Eiga Natalie, this notably included Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway's Flash Part 2, first announced in 2021, with Shochiku confirming the film is currently in production. While no release window was confirmed, given the rest of Shochiku's current film lineup has dates up until Winter 2025, this is likely the earliest that fans can expect the highly anticipated Gundam film sequel.

Just like in 2024, Chugong and A-1 Pictures’ Solo Leveling is once again ruling the anime industry with a banger season that has already become a fan-favorite anime with just two episodes under its belt. The series was already awaited by fans, and it has managed to live up to the expectations, which is only going to grow from here on.

While the success of Solo Leveling was inevitable, there were a lot of aspects that contributed to it and helped the series in a major way. From the animation to its score, every element of the anime played a part in the fame that the two episodes received. However, the one aspect that is the most underrated is the opening theme song of the series.
The opening theme of Solo Leveling Season 2 is called “ReawakeR” by LiSA featuring Felix of Stray Kids.

Solo Leveling’s first season took a beloved story and made it a household name due to the quality of the production and its loyalty to the essence of the source material. If Episode 2 is any indication of the trajectory of the rest of the anime, Season 2 is set to level up the franchise even more. Solo Leveling's story was always great in the light novel by Chugong, but it was Dubu's incredibly consistent art that propelled the manhwa to superstardom. It's that same art that fans were most skeptical about being sufficiently adapted into anime, but A-1 Pictures continues to exceed expectations into Season 2 with Episode 2, "I Suppose You Aren't Aware." Once again, Solo Leveling raises the bar to show that, as legendary as its source material is, there are some things only anime can do.
