D. Woods Exposes Diddy’s Treatment of Female Artists

Woods’ claims paint a chilling picture of the toxic environment within Bad Boy Entertainment, where, according to her, young female talent was treated as little more than disposable commodities.

Investigation Discovery, which was behind the cultural juggernaut “Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV,” has returned with another deep dive, investigative documentary series, this time centered on the allegations surrounding music and business mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs.

Over the course of two days, in four installments, viewers will see archived footage from Combs’ personal and professional life, and hear from several people, including former friends, colleagues and employees, who say they have either experienced or witnessed Combs’ alleged abuse.

During a harrowing scene in the upcoming documentary series The Fall of Diddy, former Vibe editor-in-chief Danyel Smith recalls an intense interaction with Sean Combs during which he allegedly threatened to see her “dead in a trunk” if she didn’t show him the magazine’s December 1997/January 1998 issue.

“After the shoot, Mr. Combs wanted to see the covers before they were published,” Smith recalls in the preview of the docuseries, which premieres Jan. 27 and 28 on ID and Max. “It was policy for us not to show the covers to anyone before they were published.

The ladies of Danity Kane are reuniting after a five-year hiatus, but one key member will not be making her return.

D. Woods, real name Wanita Woodgette, will not be a part of the Danity Kane reunion, according to Us Weekly. She is currently working on solo projects and is booked through the next year.

"For the past couple of years, myself and the other Dk members have been working on other projects individually, such as music, film, television, theater and philanthropy and I have recently signed on to several projects that will have me committed for the next year. My latest single "Gold Mine" is now available everywhere!" she told the magazine. "If the opportunity presents itself, I would definitely be open to recording and/or performing with Danity Kane again. I appreciate all the love and support of Dk and myself. God bless!"

Danity Kane's Aubrey O'Day took to Instagram on Saturday night to post a new promotional photo of the group, teasing fans with blurred versions of the image before revealing the full picture, writing, "Danity Kane is officially Back!"

The photo shows O'Day with her three of her four original bandmates: Shannon Bex, Aundrea Fimbres, and Dawn Richard. Noticeably absent from the photo is D. Woods, who has been pursuing a solo career. Diddy's Bad Boy Entertainment and infighting created tension among its five members. In a now infamous meeting (televised on "Making the Band"), Diddy fired Aubrey O'Day and D. Woods. Formed by Sean "Diddy" Combs on MTV's "Making the Band," in 2005, Danity Kane had a successful four-year run, releasing hit singles such as the aforementioned "Show Stopper," and "Damaged." Signed to Diddy's Bad Boy Records, Shannon Bex, Aundrea Fimbres, Aubrey O'Day, Dawn Richard, and D. Woods released two studio albums as Danity Kane: 2006's "Danity Kane" and 2008's "Welcome to the Dollhouse," both certified platinum.

The girl group broke up officially in early 2009, after months of turmoil beginning with Diddy kicking out O'Day and rumors circulating of Woods allegedly getting groomed for a solo career.

Rap mogul Sean 'Diddy' Combs has scored an odd double at the top of the U.S. albums chart by replacing one band he created with another.

Day26, who won Diddy's most recent Making The Band reality contest, have toppled the rapper's manufactured all-girl group Danity Kane to claim the number one spot on the Billboard 200.

Day26's self-titled debut claimed the top spot with 190,000 album sales; Danity Kane's Welcome To The Dollhouse slides to four on the new countdown.

Meanwhile, Panic At The Disco's Pretty. Odd. debuts at two and rock veterans Counting Crows enter the chart at three with their first album in six years, Saturday Nights + Sunday Mornings.

Hits compilation Now 27 slips three places to five to round out the top five.

The White Stripes star Jack White's other band The Raconteurs also enjoyed a big debut - despite only announcing the release of their new album, Consolers Of The Lonely, two weeks ago, the group debuts at number seven with 42,000 sales.

And Funplex, the B-52's' first studio album in nearly 16 years, has become their new label Astralwerks' highest debut at 11 - with 30,000 first-week sales.

Hip-hop mogul Sean 'Diddy' Combs' all-girl band Danity Kane have scored a new record on the U.S. albums chart, by becoming the first female group in history to debut at number one with both their debut and second releases.

The band's Welcome To The Dollhouse sold 236,000 copies in its first week on release to rocket to the top of the new countdown.

The feat also lands the girls, who formed for Combs' Making The Band reality series, the second biggest debut of the year so far.

Usher has kept his crown as the king of the U.S. pop charts for a third week.

The singer's Love In This Club, which features Young Jeezy, has spent all of March at number one on the Billboard Hot 100.

Chris Brown's With You, Flo Rida's Low, Sara Bareilles' Love Song and Don't Stop The Music by Rihanna make up the remainder of the new top five, after all refusing to move from last week's two to five spots.

British phenomenon Leona Lewis' much-hyped appearance on TV show Oprah helped the singer land her first top 10 hit - Bleeding Love rockets up the charts from 21 to eight.
