- Virginie Guilhaume was born in Paris, the daughter of Philippe Guilhaume, former chairman and chief director of channels Antenne 2 and FR3, and Brigitte Schmit, former director of communications at Antenne 2. She graduated in journalism in Paris and then began her career as a journalist. She made her television debut in 2007 on France 2 when the channel gave her the opportunity to present various entertainment programs. She also presented several special evening programs especially with Olivier Minne. She then joined the channel M6 the following year to host a program about celebrities titled "Accès Privé" and later the reality program Nouvelle Star (2003) during the seventh and eighth season.
