Justin Wu is an international filmmaker known for creating authentic, diverse narratives that resonate with modern audiences. He made his longform directorial debut with Sidelined: The QB and Me (2024), a heartfelt coming-of-age romantic comedy feature film for Tubi, delivering the most new viewers for any Tubi title ever. He is also known for Kim's Convenience (2016), and Children Ruin Everything (2022).
Born and raised in Toronto to immigrant Chinese parents, Justin draws on his multicultural upbringing and unique perspective as a queer person of colour to inform his work. With a background in photography and editing, he brings a meticulous yet innovative approach to filmmaking, aiming to inspire and connect with audiences worldwide.
