- Globetrotter, used to live (and write) in various countries (Malta, Haiti, and Marrakech). Now - he spends most of his time writing in St. Barthelemy, W.I. and Marrakech, Morocco.
- Fascinated about flying, held all pilot licenses, flew "everything with wings" but stopped aerobatics at age 55. Collects antique airplanes.

- His later career was as a successful Literary Agent and Executive (Director of Development).
- Designed the concept (and wrote various scripts) for famous TV series such as Full House (ABC), The Fresh Prince of Bel Air (NBC), Hearts A Fire (CBS) and the award winning Mad About You (Columbia TV) and All my Children (ABC).
Besides his career as an Executive, he wrote over 75 TV and movie scripts since 1980; he became famous as the writer of Pink Cadillac, Air America and The Mask Of Zorro.
In order to distinguish his writing career from his executive life, Fred has used in the past many different pseudonyms, inter alia John Eskow, David Steven Simon and Lee Reynolds.
