Debt-ridden pacifist Richard Fyre is propositioned to return to his abandoned mercenary ways by flamboyant zealot, Priest, to eliminate his international competition in exchange for a clean slate.

Fyre Rises is the story of Richard Fyre who was once a killer in the employ of a clandestine agency of some kind. But after a mission against Russian sex traffickers went badly wrong, he turned pacifist. So much so that when Priest offers him a job that would get him out of debt, he turns it down. And when several of his goons turn up to get him to reconsider, he refuses to defend himself.

But since Priest, like everyone else, has seen a few action films, he knows what to do. He threatens Fyre’s family. His wife Maddie, daughter Abbey (May Jones), and son Connor (Stanley Clarke) instead. That gets results,...

EastEnders' resident teenage psycho Steven Beale stoops to a new low when he attempts to murder his nana Pat by smothering her to death.

Next week, viewers will finally discover that Steven, played by 19-year-old Aaron Sidwell, has been hiding his sister Lucy (Melissa Suffield) from their family in a remote caravan - and it's his gran, Pat (Pam St Clement) who unearths his deceit.

Following her shocking discovery, Pat is accidentally run over by Roxy Mitchell (Rita Simons) and finds herself laid up with a broken leg. When Steven visits her in hospital, he draws the cubicle curtains and smothers her with a pillow in an attempt to silence her from revealing his secret.

EastEnders star Aaron Sidwell has admitted that soap chiefs made the right decision by axing his character.

The actor made a dramatic debut as unstable teen Steven Beale on the BBC One programme in September last year, but producers have now decided that the character's story arc has run its course.

"They really did try to keep Steven in," Aaron told the Daily Star Sunday. "The problem is EastEnders is a realistic show, so with Steven being a larger-than-life character it . . .

EastEnders star Aaron Sidwell has admitted that he found kissing his male co-star "challenging".

The actor's character Steven Beale is currently involved in a bisexual love triangle with Stacey Branning (Lacey Turner) and Christian Clarke (Johnny Partridge).

He said locking lips with both castmates was strange for different reasons, saying: "Lacey's a really good friend of mine, so kissing her was weird, but we just got on with it! But I found it really challenging to kiss Johnny because I'm not gay."
