Starz’s The Hunting Wives has added Dermot Mulroney and Evan Jonigkeit as season one series regulars. They join Malin Akerman and Brittany Snow in the eight-episode drama, based on May Cobb’s novel.

Filming’s expected to begin this spring in North Carolina. Starz hasn’t announced a target premiere date.

The cast for The Hunting Wives has been slowly released over the past few weeks as more information about the show is revealed. 

First announced as part of the cast was Malin Akerman, who's taking on the role of Margo Banks, a charming socialite. 

Playing opposite Akerman is Brittany Snow in the role of Sophie O'Neill. Sophie moves with her family from the East Coast to the depths of East Texas, where she finds herself utterly charmed by Margo.

It’s a This Is Us reunion of sorts for Gerald McRaney, who joins series creator Dan Fogelman’s new show starring Sterling K. Brown as a Secret Service agent leading the detail for James Marsden’s unnamed president.

In the dearly departed NBC drama, McRaney portrayed Dr. K, who advised Jack and Rebecca to adopt Randall (played by Brown).

Dermot Mulroney and Evan Jonigkeit have been cast as series regulars in the upcoming drama series “The Hunting Wives” at Starz.

They will play the respective husbands of previously announced co-leads Malin Åkerman and Brittany Snow.

Based on the book by May Cobb, “The Hunting Wives” follows Sophie (Snow) as she and her family relocate from the east coast to deep east Texas. Mulroney is cast as Jed Banks, “a fifth-generation oil man, alpha millionaire and the husband of trophy-wife Margo (Åkerman). Above all else, he’s a ladies-man who loves nothing more than bringing guest stars into their marital bed. And although he’s considering a run for Texas Governor, he’s determined not to let public service get in the way of their good time.

Exclusive: Greenwich Entertainment announced today the acquisition of North American distribution rights to Katie Burrell’s feature debut Weak Layers.

The film is directed and co-written by Burrell (who also stars), and Andrew Ladd, also stars Chelsea Conwright and Jadyn Wong. Weak Layers will arrive in theaters in top 50 markets and in select mountain towns on January 5, and on VOD on February 6, 2024.

Lionsgate has debuted the trailer for John Trengove’s English-language debut centring on toxic masculinity, ‘Manodrome.’

The story follows Ralphie (Jesse Eisenberg), a New York Uber driver struggling to make ends meet and anxiously awaiting the birth of his child with Sal (Odessa Young).

Feeling overstressed and lost, his search for greater fulfilment finds him becoming involved with an intense all-male self-help group led by the guru-like Dan (Adrien Brody).

As Ralph falls deeper into dependence on the group and its increasingly aggressive and dominance-driven members, his relationship and his life crumble until he suffers a breakdown and descends into madness.

Ethan Suplee, Evan Jonigkeit and Philip Ettinger also star in the film which Riley Keough, Ryan Zacarias, Ben Giladi, and Gina Gammell produce.

Shia Labeouf is opening up in an interview about his career.

In a brief parking lot interview with THR, the 37-year-old actor opened up about the role as the cellmate of Evan Jonigkeit‘s Henry Johnson, the titular character of David Mamet‘s new play at Electric Lodge in Venice, Calif.

In the show, he plays a lawyer who has suddenly found himself behind bars for his misdeeds.

X-Men villain Toad is the latest mutant rumored to appear in Marvel Studios' Deadpool 3.

According to trusted scooper Daniel Richtman (via X), Toad is rumored to return in the upcoming threequel, which will be the first installment set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The minor X-Men antagonist first appeared in the 2000 film, X-Men, portrayed by Ray Park. This version of the character is believed to have met his demise when Storm summoned a lightning bolt to strike his tongue. A younger version of Toad, played by Evan Jonigkeit, later appeared in the 2014 film, X-Men: Days of Future Past.

Shia Labeouf’s stage debut in the world premiere of David Mamet’s Henry Johnson is extending its run.

The play, directed by The L Word: Generation Q showrunner Marja-Lewis Ryan, will now close on Oct. 7 — two weeks after its original four-week run was expected to conclude on Sept. 24 — at The Electric Lodge in Venice, California.

In a statement posted to X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, Labeouf shared that he was “overjoyed to be involved” in the production. “The dedication of my dance partners is inspiring. The play is starting to pull us now,” he added.

The play follows “the plight of a man after an act of compassion upends his life,” according to the production.

In the trailer for the new rom-com "Somebody I Used to Know," released Jan. 12, Alison Brie plays Ally, who heads back into her past and reconnects with her ex-boyfriend Sean, played by Jay Ellis. Just when she thinks they might be falling for each other again and she can redo her past mistakes, she learns he's getting married to his girlfriend Cassidy, played by Kiersey Clemons. And to make things more interesting, it seems both of the spouses-to-be start feeling some deep attraction for Ally in the days leading up to their wedding. If this is the first mainstream rom-com to end in a throuple, we wouldn't be mad, but we'll have to wait for the full thing to see.
