Ever since the release of Prime Video’s latest video game adaptation series titled Fallout, people have started to show interest in the lead star Ella Purnell and her life outside the show. Since she managed to impress the audience with her performance, everyone wants to know more about her as a person.
While just like many other stars, she too keeps her private life mostly private from the fans, the instance where she doesn’t shy away is her love life with her boyfriend, Max Bennett Kelly.
Ella Purnell in a still from Fallout
In fact, her romantic relationship with Kelly might be the only thing in her life that she doesn’t have a problem revealing more to the public about. This is only substantiated by the fact that Purnell and he shared a couple’s moment during the premiere of her show not so long ago.

Like its two recent multi-disc predecessors, Joni Mitchell Archives — Volume 3: The Asylum Years (1972-1975) collects live and studio vault tapes from a particular era in Mitchell’s career. This one gets off to a seemingly unbeatable start. Much of its first quarter is devoted to an entire live show from Carnegie Hall in 1971, months after Mitchell’s landmark album Blue had been released. Sounding at the top of her game, vocally and instrumentally, Mitchell opens with a swooping, vivacious “This Flight Tonight.” Accompanying herself on guitar, piano and dulcimer,...

Over three hours worth of newly-unearthed Frank Zappa receives an official release as a compilation called Funky Nothingness. Available as of today, the music is believed to have been intended for a sequel to Hot Rats, the avant-garde rocker’s 1969 solo debut.
Freshly dug out from the Zappa vault, Funky Nothingness will include 25 unreleased and rare tracks, as well as compositions, covers, and miscellaneous jams from 1970 studio sessions with Zappa’s core group: Aynsley Dunbar, Don “Sugarcane” Harris, Ian Underwood, and Max Bennett.
“Funky Nothingness delivers on all fronts, showcasing Zappa’s love for rhythm and blues, picking up where Hot Rats left off with extended instrumental workouts fusing rock, jazz, and classical elements into music that can only be described as Zappa,” reads a statement from “Zappa vaultmeister” Joe Travers, who also compiled the collection along with Zappa’s son Ahmet Zappa.

Following the news that five members of the Mission: Impossible 7 crew quit thanks to being torn a new one by Hollywood A-lister and leading man Tom Cruise, adult entertainment camming site Stripchat has extended them an offer of employment, believing that they would be a "valuable asset". According to Stripchat vice president Max Bennett, the site is planning a series following the lives of cam girls, with plans in place to begin production next year. If nothing else, Bennett promises them a "pleasant and enjoyable" working environment away from chastisement from The Cruiser.
"I heard about the recent news and the clip of Tom Cruise's expletive-filled rant at employees on the set of Mission: Impossible 7 for not following strict protocols put in place to avoid the spread of coronavirus. Psychic Temple is another name for Chris Schlarb, a self-styled cult leader from Long Beach, California, who’s really just a wickedly skilled producer, songwriter and musician. His Bandcamp page is full of sweet, strange sounds on the outskirts of folk-rock, jazz and psychedelia, and even further out than that — check his fantastic 2016 remake of Brian Eno’s Music for Airports (complete with a new proletarian B-side, “Music for Bus Stops”).

With vinyl being a hot music commodity and back in vogue, it would seem inevitable that one of the music giants of the vinyl era would get remastered and re-released. Frank Zappa remains one of the those musical geniuses where his impact was missed by a deservedly larger fanbase while he roamed planet Earth. With a must-see documentary -- Eat That Question: Frank Zappa In His Own Words (Sony Pictures Classic) -- currently in theaters and on demand, hopefully some of his genius will be discovered by a new generation of fans. Certainly the above-titled masterpiece Hot Rats, reissued by Zappa Records in August on 180gram vinyl cut directly from the original analog master tapes by Bernie Grundman, remains one of his cornerstone releases in his immense and musically varied catalog.
Which brings us to the album itself... an album that I've purchased a few years after its initial vinyl...

The river has flooded in this comic fantasy, which has stellar production design but little sense of higher purpose
Purloined Jane Austen quote for a title, fog-wreathed wharves, smoke-spewing factory stacks, greasy spoons and, for those old enough to remember the Primrose Hill set, Sadie Frost’s acting career – no variety of antique Londoniana is unresurrected in Ben Charles Edwards’s comic-fantasy debut. The river has flooded his retro-unfuturistic capital, as Michael Winder’s piano player and Max Bennett’s sailor form a chance friendship and dream of escape to Egypt. But there’s a rising tide, too, of precious romanticism that swamps these “pilgrims not making any progress”, James Hatt’s stellar production design putting a fire under moon-dilated vistas but weighing down Edwards’s direction. There are moments of Guy Maddin-esque vim – like the crayfish that draws tarot cards – but even cameos such as Noel Fielding’s...
