One of the stars of the TruTv series Impractical Jokers is leaving the comedy troupe after a decade-long run. Joe Gatto posted the stunning news on Instagram tonight in a note that alluded to “the challenges I am facing” and a promise to “create new ways to entertain you.”
“Sorry in advance for the long and more-serious-than-usual note below, I just wanted to let you all know that I will no longer be involved with Impractical Jokers,” he wrote. “Alongside my friends, I’ve devoted a decade of my life to building this franchise and couldn’t be prouder of what has been accomplished. However, due to some issues in my personal life, I have to step away. Bessy and I have decided to amicably part ways, so now I need to focus on being the best father and co-parent to our two incredible kids. He continued, “Outside of my family,...

We chatted to The Tenderloins and Impractical Jokers' Joe Gatto about filling stadiums, punishments and scary bikers...
There’s no way I’m attempting to interview all four of the Impractical Jokers at the same time again. Not after last time. Things got out of hand.
Improv group The Tenderloins, stars of the TV show Impractical Jokers, are returning to the UK in January 2017 for more performances of their live show. The tour is selling well and so they’ve added extra dates and are doing some press to promote them.
So when the opportunity for an interview slot came up, I decided I would specialise. Phone interviews can be tricky because of the delay, the disruption and the detachment, and I decided that if I could get just one of the Jokers, I’d end up with something more manageable and focused. And when you...

We chatted to the Impractical Jokers about the TV and live shows, pranking and Jason Statham. Fair warning, things got foul-mouthed...
This one got away from me.
The cast of the television show Impractical Jokers (Sal Volcano, Joe Gatto, Brian ‘Q’ Quinn and James ‘Murr’ Murray) were in London for their first ever live UK performances and Den of Geek had managed to grab a little time with them ahead of the shows. In our excitement over what we expected would be a fun interview we had failed to consider the possible difficulties.
It turns out that interviewing four comedians at the same time is hard work. Typing up my recording afterwards was like trying to transcribe a riot. If a regular interview is like fishing (it’s not) then interviewing the Impractical Jokers was like attempting to lasso four octopuses with the same piece of rope.

Tru TV's “Impractical Jokers,” now in its fourth season, has helped create an environment of humor and fear for those who unwittingly come across the comedy troupe of Sal Vulcano, Brian Quinn, James Murray and Joe Gatto. But when they joined Greg Gilman at TheWrap's Comic-Con video lounge at the “Walking Dead Escape” in Petco Park, the joke — and the fear — was on them. Eyeing Gilman's expertly applied zombie make-up, Vulcano said tentatively, “I feel like there's a real medical emergency going on here — I keep looking at it and thinking, ‘How are you asking us questions?’ Like…” “Like...

The Impractical Jokers strike again at the buffet line in our exclusive clip from Impractical Jokers: The Complete First Season, which debuted on DVD today, November 26. This clip shows part of the last prank they shot in Season 1, with series stars/creators Brian Quinn, Sal Vulcano, Joe Gatto and James Murray providing commentary. Watch what happens when these pranksters try to steal other people's food.
Impractical Jokers centers on four real-life best friends - Q, Sal, Joe and Murr - who dare one another to do ridiculous things in public. They then capture their extreme dares on hidden camera, complete with the unsuspecting public's amused, confused, or flabbergasted reactions. After completing each dare, the guys are given a thumbs-up or a thumbs-down to determine who succeeded under pressure and who collapsed in defeat. At the end of each episode, the guy with the most fails must face a mortifying punishment with truly humiliating consequences.
