Don't hang out poolside with any beautiful and mysterious women if you're behind on "The White Lotus." This article contains spoilers for season 3 episode 6, "Denials."
Mike White's globe-trotting anthology series "The White Lotus" always assembles a group of rich weirdos to play in whatever international sandbox White chooses for each season, and in the current third season, those rich weirdos are causing trouble in Thailand at one of the fictional White Lotus hotels. One major character in season 3, Chloe, isn't actually a guest; she actually lives nearby with her boyfriend Gary, played by Jon Gries. Chloe is played by Charlotte Le Bon, a French Canadian actress and model, but that character was originally played by Francesca Corney, a Thai actress known for the Apple TV+ series "The Buccaneers."

Like Rian Johnson’s Knives Out Mysteries franchise, casting for Mike White’s The White Lotus is always an event. Fans love to speculate who could join the cast of White’s award-winning series, and now Conan O’Brien wants to put his fiery red quaff in the ring. According to legend, O’Brien bumped into White in a restaurant, and the two started talking about The White Lotus Season 3. O’Brien offered to appear on the show, wanting to be a part of White’s hit project, though his proposed role could raise an eyebrow or two.
Speaking with Walton Goggins for episode 19 of Conan’s podcast, Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend, the former late-night host recapped his run-in with White, telling Goggins, “Before you guys started shooting The White Lotus, I ran into none other than Mike White in a restaurant. Competing in the age of streaming is a tough business. At a time when Netflix enjoys a chokehold with its global dominance on the potential subscriber base, the push for quality content stands out of paramount importance.
Taking note of it, HBO took a leap of faith as it diverged away from its tried and tested formula of working productions like the fantasy epics of Game of Thrones to invest in satirical and dark comedies like The White Lotus.

Look who else is checking into The White Lotus: Charlotte Le Bon is joining the HBO anthology’s third season, replacing Francesca Corney. Sources told Deadline — which reported the recasting on Friday — that White Lotus producers swapped Corney for Le Bon because they wanted someone who appeared older in the role, the details of which are still under wraps. Le Bon is known for her roles in the films The Hundred-Foot Journey, The Walk, and The Promise. She also co-wrote and directed the 2022 coming-of-age film Falcon Lake. Corney, who’s vacating the White Lotus part, guest-starred in Mrs Sidhu Investigates and recurred in The Buccaneers last year. James Woods’ Nuclear Secrets
By Christopher Nolan’s standards, Oppenheimer couldn’t be a more straightforward narrative. Scientist builds bomb. Bomb ends war. Government betrays scientist. But there is one part of the movie that has some viewers scratching their heads, and it’s right there in the opening credits: What the heck is James Woods’ name doing on the screen? The 76-year-old actor, best known today for his right-wing conspiracy mongering, is listed as an executive producer. But as far as anyone can tell, he had no part in making the film, never met with Nolan and wouldn’t know a neutron reflector from a People’s Choice Award. So, how’d he nab an EP credit? Woods, it turns out, is pals with businessman J. David Wargo, a onetime Discovery board member and longtime Trinity Project buff. Back in 2015, Wargo bought the rights to the Oppenheimer biography American...

Leo Woodall won’t forget his time on set of The White Lotus season two anytime soon. The actor said this week his experience on the show felt like “one big holiday.”
“It was one of those shows where, because there were so many characters and so many storylines, there were so many days off,” Woodall told People, adding that the free time meant he and his co-stars spent a lot of time vacationing together.
Woodall played Jack in The White Lotus season two, a British boy who flirted with Haley Lu Richardson’s Portia and assisted his non-biological uncle Quentin (Tom Hollander) in a plan to murder Jennifer Coolidge’s Tanya. The second season of Mike White’s anthology show took place at a resort in Sicily, where the cast lived for several weeks during filming in 2022.
“It does feel like a world away now,” Woodall said of his time in Italy.

Halle Berry Goes Down With The Mothership
It didn’t set off nearly the online uproar as did Warner Bros.’ decision to dynamite its $70 million Coyote vs. Acme action-animation hybrid, but another high-profile movie was recently, much more quietly, dumped. Netflix has grounded The Mothership, a Halle Berry sci-fi thriller directed by Oscar-nominated Bridge of Spies co-writer Matt Charman. The $40 million project started filming during the pandemic in 2021 and ran into one snafu after another — scheduling conflicts, reshoots, strikes and, most recently, continuity issues brought on by growth spurts among some of the children in its cast. During a Jan. 31 news conference, Netflix content chief Bela Bajaria cited “lots of production issues and story issues” for shelving the movie and insisted that “everybody just felt like it was the right thing to just not do it.” A source tells THR, however, that there may have been another reason Mothership got axed: Its biggest champion,...

Actor Julian Kostov is joining HBO’s The White Lotus, replacing Miloš Biković in the show’s cast.
Kostov (Shadow and Bone) will recur in the show’s third season, which is set to begin filming in Thailand this month. He joins the cast after HBO “decided to part ways” with Biković, following public criticism from Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs over Biković’s seeming support for Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
In a Jan. 24 social media post, the ministry wrote, “HBO, is it all right for you to work with a person who supports genocide & violates international law?” over a video clip of statements Biković has made about Ukraine and the annexation of Crimea. The Serbia-born actor has worked in Russia for the past decade; he received an award from Russian leader Vladimir Putin in 2018 and became a Russian citizen in 2021.

“The White Lotus” Season 3 has added Julian Kostov to its cast.
Kostov will appear in a recurring role in the HBO series that was previously held by Miloš Biković. Biković was recently cut from the series, however, over his support of Russia and Russian President Vladimir Putin in the country’s war against Ukraine.

Actor Milos Bikovic has spoken out after he was fired from ‘The White Lotus’, and slammed a “targeted campaign” against him.
The actor was initially set to star in the hit show’s upcoming season 3.
“Today, a targeted campaign has been unleashed against me, seemingly as an external maneuver to influence decisions that can create a disturbing precedent shadowing the essence of artistic freedom,” the Serbian actor, who has been supporting Russia amid the Ukraine-Russia war, told Deadline.
“The result of such a narrative is the triumph of absurdity and the defeat of art.”
“I was honoured to be chosen to be a part of White Lotus, a TV series that I hold in high regard and with colleagues whom I deeply respect.”
Bikovic added: “However, my participation is not possible due to reasons beyond the realm of art and I will not bow to any narrative that seeks to compromise my integrity.

Serbia has jumped to the defense of its countryman Milos Bikovic after Ukraine attacked HBO’s decision to cast the Russian sympathizer in The White Lotus.
Bikovic is set to play a wellness guru in Mike White’s hit series, sparking anger in Kyiv, where the Ukrainian government produced a social media video accusing him of supporting Vladimir Putin’s war.
Bikovic declined to condemn the Kremlin’s invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. In an Instagram post soon after the Russian assault, he said that he wished there were no wars.
“Each conflict has its own circumstances,” he wrote, per a translation of his Russian text. “And the worst part is that war and bloodshed on either side reminds us how far humanity is from world unity and love. God save the lives of all those who are now in danger.”

That cast for the Mike White anthology series includes Walton Goggins, Aimee Lou Wood, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sarah Catherine Hook, Sam Nivola, Leslie Bibb, Jason Isaacs, Michelle Monaghan, Carrie Coon, Parker Posey,...

If you watched the Season Two finale of The White Lotus, you know what happened to Jennifer Coolidge’s frazzled, impossibly wealthy Tanya. As she accepted her second Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series on Monday, she gave audiences a reminder of her laugh-out-loud death scene: “He says I’m definitely dead, so I’m going along with it.”
After thanking creator Mike White, she gave a shout-out to “all the evil gays” before getting the boot by Anthony Anderson’s mother. (At the last Emmys, the...

The White Lotus season three has added Walton Goggins, Aimee Lou Wood, Patrick Schwarzenegger, and more to the ensemble cast. HBO's schedule for the coming years has been modified due to the ongoing crisis in Hollywood. This has resulted in delays for anticipated productions and releases with the likes of the It prequel and the third season of The White Lotus.
The third season of the hit HBO series The White Lotus has added a cavalcade of big names to its ever-growing ensemble cast, including Walton Goggins, Aimee Lou Wood (Sex Education), Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sarah Catherine Hook (First Kill), and Sam Nivola (Maestro). They join the third outing in Mike White’s The White Lotus, the dark comedy-drama anthology series that follows the guests and employees of the fictional White Lotus resort chain.

White Lotus season 3 is heading into production next month and the cast keeps getting bigger and better. More here.
We recently reported that HBO had announced the first cast members joining White Lotus for season three. These included Michelle Monaghan, Leslie Bibb, Jason Isaacs, Dom Hetrakul, Parker Posey and Tayme Thapthimthong.
We’re now happy to report that even more excellent actors have joined the cast. Variety reports that Walton Goggins, Sarah Catherine Hoo, Sam Nivola, Patrick Schwarzenegger, and Aimee Lou Wood will also be checking into the resort for season three.
Carrie Coon, Miloš Biković, Christian Friedel, Morgana O’Reilly, Lek Patravadi, and Shalini Peiris have also joined the cast. Natasha Rothwell will also be reprising her role as the resort manager.
White Lotus season three will be shooting in and around Koh Samui, Phuket, and Bangkok, Thailand in February, but there’s no news on a release date quite yet.

Good lord, White Lotus. Save some actors for the rest of Hollywood. The third season of the HBO series is set to begin filming in Thailand next month with a massive ensemble cast, but hell, why not add a few more? The latest addition to White Lotus season 3 includes Walton Goggins, one of my favourite actors, as well as Patrick Schwarzenegger (Gen V), Aimee Lou Wood (Sex Education), Sarah Catherine Hook (The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It), and Sam Nivola (Maestro).
As with the previous cast announcements, there are no details on the character Walton Goggins and the rest will be playing in White Lotus season 3. The rest of the cast includes Carrie Coon (The Gilded Age), Leslie Bibb (The Babysitter: Killer Queen), Jason Isaacs (The Death of Stalin), Michelle Monaghan (Mission: Impossible – Fallout), Parker Posey (Scream 3), Miloš Biković (The Challenge), Dom Hetrakul (Bangkok Dangerous), Christian Friedel...

Like Coon, star of HBO’s The Gilded Age, Goggins also is on another HBO series, The Righteous Gemstones, with The White Lotus production schedule fitting the filming dates of their other shows.
