"The Boys" season 4 will soon be upon us, but we'd be remiss to forget the spin-off series "Gen V." I was skeptical about the college-set superhero show, but it proved to have the same audacious spirit as its parent program ("Gen V" has pluckier leads too).
One of the most memorable "Gen V" scenes is the "puppet massacre" in episode 5, "Welcome to the Monster Club." Sam Riordan (Asa Germann), a super-strong teenager who's been locked in a lab, goes berserk and tears some attacking soldiers apart. But due to his loose grip on reality, he imagines himself and the others as Muppets, leading to a scene where Sam disembowels men but we only see puppet blood and bones. "The Boys" and "Gen V" are not shy about violence, so this altered reality has nothing to do with censorship. Rather, it explores Sam's character and his childish outlook on violence he...

‘Tis the season to give thanks — and not just because of the national holiday/food-a-thon taking place this Thursday.
BBC One dropped a gourmet treat onto TV lover’s computer screens on Tuesday when it tweeted the following first-look photo at Sherlock‘s forthcoming Season 4 special, along with a trio of hashtags: “#221back #Sherlock #notkidding.”
In July, co-creator Steven Moffat confirmed that a three-episode Season 4 was in the works — along with a 90-minute special that would begin shooting in January 2015, for possible broadcast next Christmas.
Season 3 of Sherlock concluded with the face of the crime-fighting duo’s presumed-dead nemesis Moriarty...

Someone in lemur heaven is getting a fantastic nature lesson right now, that’s for sure.
Jovian, the lemur who starred as Zoboo on PBS’ hit nature series Zoboomafoo, died Monday at the age of 20, the network has confirmed. From 1999 to 2001, Jovian yucked it up opposite Zoboomafoo hosts (and real-life brothers) Chris and Martin Kratt.
“He was very social and calm,” Martin Kratt says of his former co-star. “He was young and good-looking and very gentle.”
According to the Duke Lemur Center, which Jovian called home, the star is survived by partner Pia and brother Julian, as well as seven children and four grandchildren.
