Snow White had been kicking around for centuries before the Brothers Grimm immortalized her story in print in their seminal 1812 collection of fairy tales. It’s also a tale that Hollywood has found irresistible. There were two Snow White silent films in 1902 and 1916, decades before Walt Disney’s Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs broke new ground as a full-length animated film in 1937. Since then, Disney’s take on Snow White has defined the character’s presence in pop culture.
Beyond Disney’s version, there have been plenty of other attempts to bring the story to the big screen. That includes some wild swings, like Snow White and the Three Stooges in 1961. Then in 2012, there were two big-budget productions of Snow White that went head-to-head: Mirror, Mirror and Snow White and the Huntsman. Jack Quaid has understandably gathered a lot of attention lately within the film and television world. From his performance as Hughie Campbell in The Boys to his most recent role as Nathan Caine in the newly released film, Novocaine,it is clear that Quaid possesses a talent and charm that entertains audiences. Additionally, within the past five years, Quaid has attached himself to a variety of large projects, including the Scream franchise and Companion. Given his recent successes, it is no surprise that some of his worth-the-watch movies have gotten lost in his expansive filmography.
One of these films is Logan Lucky, a 2017 heist comedy directed by Steven Soderbergh (Ocean's Eleven). The film is packed with stars, including Channing Tatum, Adam Driver, Daniel Craig, Hilary Swank, and many more. With a 92% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes, it is clear that Logan Lucky is just as enthralling as other films in which Quaid has appeared.

"Peaky Blinders" single-handedly resurrected the newsboy cap as a menswear item. It also delivered a long, uncensored look at the effects of post-traumatic stress disorder in men who had served in some of the most unforgiving conditions of World War I, and lived during an era where people were mostly expected to walk off things like mental health issues. Oh, and it was a very good period gangster drama that wasn't afraid to go to some truly uncompromising places and had an absolutely stellar cast at its disposal.
To this day, the show's stellar theme song ("Red Right Hand" by Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds) evokes images of Tommy Shelby (Cillian Murphy) riding through the dirty streets of Birmingham in 1919, and the terrors that followed him like a dark cloud -- or, as he personally thought, a curse -- wherever he went. All six seasons of the show are great in their own way,...

The Netflix historical drama Rebellion focuses on World War I from a unique perspective: the effect on the people of Ireland. The series, created by Colin Teevan, opens just as England officially declares war. People immediately disagree about what this means for Ireland. Some characters take the stance that it’s not their war, embracing the slogan “let Englishmen fight English wars.” Others believe it’s important to show loyalty to the English royal family. Tensions around the war led to a surge of Irish nationalism and the 1916 Easter Rising, an armed insurrection that aimed to establish an independent Ireland. The show was actually produced to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the uprising. It covers the insurrection and the eventual surrender to overpowering British forces. With outstanding performances from Brian Gleeson and Barry Keoghan, Rebellion is a harrowing depiction of a key moment in Irish history.

The Garvey sisters in Bad Sisters go from a bad situation in Season 1 to an even worse one in Season 2. The Apple TV+ original Irish black comedy was an instant hit when it debuted in August 2022. The show went on to earn four Emmy nominations, including one for Outstanding Lead Actress for Sharon Horgan, who also developed the series.
In Season 1 of Bad Sisters, the five sisters find themselves at odds with John Paul (Claes Bang), the husband of second-oldest sister Grace (Anne-Marie Duff), who not only treats her terribly, but wreaks havoc onall their lives. The sisters’ plan to have him killed didn’t quite pan out as they had hoped. But John Paul did, in fact, end up dead. And they ended up at the center of the case when a desperate insurance agent started looking for evidence of foul play to avoid the big payout. Things took...

Editor's Note: The following contains spoilers for Season 2 of Bad SistersThere are so many things about Bad Sisters that make it one of the best shows on television right now. There's the incredible writing and acting from Sharon Horgan, the chemistry between all five of the charismatic sisters, and the seamless blend of moving storylines with a bit of dark Irish humor. In Season 1, viewers are enveloped into the world of the Garveys, but they're also able to get to know two important supporting characters: Thomas (Brian Gleeson) and Matt Claffin (Daryl McCormack). The Claffin brothers are insurance investigators who are looking into the death of Grace's (Anne-Marie Duff) husband, and they become connected to the sisters in intriguing ways. Although Season 2 has had some fantastic twists and turns, the new detective characters are leaving something to be desired.

The Mandalorian and Grogu has revealed another star coming to the big screen. It's been announced by Deadline that actor Jonny Coyne is reprising his role as an Imperial Warlord in the upcoming film.
Coyne first appeared in Star Wars in The Mandalorian Season 3 episode "Chapter 23: The Spies" as a member of the Imperial Shadow Council. There were many notable characters in the meeting including Giancarlo Esposito's Moff Gideon, Xander Berkeley's Gilad Pellaeon, and Brian Gleeson's Brendol Hux, the father of the sequel trilogy's Armitage Hux. While Coyne's character didn't have a name in the episode, it sets up an interesting premise and might hint at what's to come.
Season 3 ended with Din Djarin agreeing to work as an independent contractor for the New Republic, hunting down the Imperial remnants. With his bounty hunter past, it would be something he would be very good at. This...

Not everything needs a second season.
“Bad Sisters,” created by Sharon Horgan, Brett Baer, and Dave Finkel, and based on the Belgian series “Clan,” was one such series, neatly wrapping up the eponymous Garvey sisters’ story with ten episodes that premiered on Apple TV+ in 2022.
But of those many shows that should have left well enough alone, a rare few manage to pull off that second installment (if not more beyond that) with — if not resounding success, then aplomb. “Bad Sisters” didn’t need a second season, but Horgan and her team execute the near-impossible task of picking up, building out, and smartly continuing the story, even if Season 1 remains superior.
Season 2 catches up with the sisters — Grace (Anne-Marie Duff), Eva (Horgan), Ursula (Eva Birthistle), Bibi (Sarah Greene), and Becka (Eve Hewson) — a few years after the other four planned to kill Grace’s husband, only for her to end up killing him herself.

It’s been two years since audiences were introduced to the Garvey sisters in Apple’s “Bad Sisters,” created by Sharon Horgan, Dave Finkel, and Brett Baer — two years since Eva (Horgan), Ursula (Eva Birthistle), Bibi (Sarah Greene), and Becka (Eve Hewson) conspired to kill their sister Grace’s (Anne-Marie Duff) husband, only for him to turn up dead under mysterious and unplanned circumstances.
Season 2 premieres November 13 with two episodes, to answer burning questions as well as to raise new ones. How much does Grace’s daughter really know? How have the sisters healed since the death of “the prick”? Will the police get involved this time and actually uncover the murder? Are Becka and Matt (Daryl McCormack) still together?
But before all that, let’s review the key plot points in “Bad Sisters” Season 1.

Every month, Apple TV+ continues to offer subscribers a handful of quality television shows and movies. November is no different for the streaming service, and audiences should most certainly be excited about the new films and returning television shows slated for release on the platform. While there might not be an abundance of content arriving in the coming weeks, that doesnt mean viewers will be hard-pressed to find something worth their time.
As two popular series return for their second seasons, Apple TV+ also has a historical dramatic feature and a powerful documentary feature heading to the streaming service. There might not be many light-hearted films or shows coming in November, but viewers will want to check them out, nonetheless. Given the stellar casts littered throughout each show and film, audiences certainly wont want to skip anything the platform has to offer next month.

Bad Sisters quietly launched on Apple TV+ back in August 2022, but thanks to the positive reception, it ended up getting more attention and serious accolades, including four Primetime Emmy nominations. The Irish black comedy, set in Dublin, is about five sisters who are fiercely close. When tragedy strikes, however, the story flips back and forth between the past and present-day to piece together the mystery of a death. Was it murder? If so, who was responsible? And can they keep it a secret?
The show beautifully navigates darkness and humor with a talented cast, compelling story, and a shocking ending that fans probably didnt see coming. With a second season on the horizon two years after the first debuted, its a good time to refresh the memory about what happened and learn everything we know about season two so far as well.

Like science fiction and fantasy, films in the horror genre have permission to bend the laws of reality, as long as audiences can still follow the story. No one is too concerned that "Halloween" slasher Michael Meyers is somehow invincible and impossible to kill, because that lore was established in the first film and continued throughout the confusing, timeline-erasing franchise. What's not to understand?
On the other hand, plenty of films over the years have left audiences scratching their heads as they exit the theater. Is Leonardo DiCaprio dreaming or awake at the end of "Inception" and does it really matter? Was anything in "Mulholland Drive" real? You might give yourself a headache pondering the answers to those knotty questions.
Horror movies tend to use this kind of uncertainty to frighten viewers, leaving them unsettled and disturbed as the credits roll. This is the worst kind of perplexing ending, because you're not only confused,...

A DS9 movie reboot could explore Dominion War with a trilogy, but casting may face challenges due to a large ensemble cast, and the love for the original actors. Actors like Asante Blackk, Brian Gleeson, and Daryl McCormack are great options for roles in a DS9 movie reboot. Cast options such as Jodie Comer, Winston Duke, and Elisabeth Moss bring versatility and experience to iconic DS9 characters.
In a world where J.J. Abrams' Star Trek: The Original Series reboot led to other shows getting the same treatment, which stars would be cast in a Star Trek: Deep Space Nine movie? Given that DS9 was the show that pioneered serialization in Star Trek TV shows, it would be hard to boil the story of Captain Benjamin Sisko (Avery Brooks) into one movie. However, where the Kelvin Timeline movies were effectively big-screen episodic Star Trek, a trilogy of movies could give...

The following article may contain mild spoilers.Darren Aronofsky's film of 2017, mother!, is a very interesting example of how cinema can turn on itself and deliver a rebellious storytelling approach. It's a one-of-a-kind movie that doesn't respect the traditional rules of genres, but it still has the capacity to permeate just about every sense possible. Divisive, raw, and almost aggressive, the film still makes up for an extremely different film-viewing experience that you may love or hate, but you will definitely never forget about it. Upon release, the film got a controversial "F" on CinemaScore, and what followed was only worse. It was quickly forgotten by audiences, and its cult status was never consolidated.
It's been five years since its release, and some still remember what happened in the movie theater where they saw it. Viewers got nauseous; some screamed, some laughed, and some reported retching sounds. When you walked out of the theater,...

Through the story of drug leaders and best friends Dushane (Ashley Walters) and Sully (Kane ‘Kano’ Robinson), viewers witnessed how the dreams of young men wanting to provide for their family and overcome the poor hand they’ve been dealt leads to a life of crime – the only option they feel is open to them. It all comes down to this. The final season of Netflix's "Top Boy" is just days away. After more than 10 years, the streamer will be airing the final season, and it's bound to be an intense one.
For the uninitiated, the show follows drug dealers Sully (Kane Robinson) and Dushane (Ashley Walters) as they navigate a scene of gang violence in Hackney, East London. The show first aired on the UK's Channel 4 in 2011 before being canceled. Drake then revived the show in 2017, with the help of Netflix, of course.
In the previous seasons, we've seen Sully and Dushane work together to run a drug empire and turn rivals. From turf wars to prison breakouts, there's never been a dull moment, mostly because no character can be fully trusted. There have been some iconic scenes, from the comedic to the downright shocking.
