The Twisted Childhood Universe recently made a horror version of J.M. Barrie's Peter Pan, Peter Pan's Neverland Nightmare — but Once Upon a Time already accomplished this several years ago. Peter Pan's Neverland Nightmare premiered on January 13, receiving a short theatrical run. The movie takes place in the Twisted Childhood Universe, where Winnie the Pooh's horror movie, Winnie the Pooh: Blood & Honey, also takes place. Similar to Blood & Honey, Peter Pan's Neverland Nightmare is a twisted, devious version of a classic children's tale.

Peter Pan's Neverland Nightmare has surprisingly done much better than its predecessor — so much so that the theatrical release of Peter Pan's Neverland Nightmare was extended because the movie scored 70% among audiences on Rotten Tomatoes. While Peter Pan's Neverland Nightmare has been much better received than Winnie the Pooh's horror films, the movie feels redundant because a horror version of Barrie's Peter Pan already exists.

Some will argue that Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides is not the worst Pirates of the Caribbean movie, but it does rapidly introduce characters who disappear from the franchise after the one-off adventure's end. The initial Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy has defined parameters. After the conclusion of the trilogy's main storyline and the departure of Orlando Bloom's Will Turner and Keira Knightley's Elizabeth Swann, Disney was challenged with coming up with a fresh new story, preferably with sequel potential, with Johnny Depp's Jack Sparrow and Geoffrey Rush's Hector Barbossa still on board.

Heroes will be the next TV series from the past to get a return, as a new sequel series is in development. The news comes shortly after the solar eclipse, which played a major role in the original Heroes series.

Per Deadline, the new show will be called Heroes: Eclipsed. It is set years after the events of the original series as "new evos are being awakened and discovering powers that will change their lives." The revival will feature some familiar villains along with new characters for the new group of budding superheroes to face. Tim Kring, the creator of the original series, is writing Heroes: Eclipsed.

This will be the second spinoff for Heroes, following the 2015 limited series Heroes Reborn.

A new “Heroes” reboot series is in development from creator Tim Kring, Variety has confirmed.

The reboot, titled “Heroes: Eclipsed,” is set years after the events of the original superhero series, as new evolved humans are discovering their powers. Kring is executive producing “Heroes: Eclipsed” with his manager, Mosaic’s Jordan Cerf. Casting has yet to be announced.

“Heroes” ran for four seasons on NBC from 2006 to 2010, and starred Hayden Panettiere, Jack Coleman, Milo Ventimiglia, Masi Oka, Zachary Quinto, Sendhil Ramamurthy, Ali Larter, Adrian Pasdar and Greg Grunberg. Kring then worked on the 2015 limited series “Heroes Reborn,” with Coleman reprising his role as Noah Bennet. Zachary Levi, Robbie Kay, Kiki Sukezane, Ryan Guzman, Rya Kihlstedt and Judith Shekoni also starred in “Heroes Reborn.”

Back in 2015, while promoting “Reborn,” Kring teased the possibility of developing more storylines in the “Heroes” universe following the 13-episode event series.

Ventimiglia thinks that the original series' success was due to the depth of its characters, which was lacking in the reboot. Milo Ventimiglia is opening up about the Heroes reboot and the possibility of a new revival. The actor also revealed why he won’t be auditioning for the Batman role in The Brave and the Bold film that James Gunn is working on as part of the new DC Universe he is constructing alongside Peter Safran.

In a new interview, the This Is Us alum was pessimistic about the idea of bringing back Heroes, the 2006 Tim Kring-created superhero series that aired on NBC for four seasons.

“I feel like I’ve been trained to say ‘never say never.’ But I think when they tried to bring back Heroes and reboot Heroes, it was a bit of a soft landing,” Ventimiglia said in an interview with ComicBook. “I don’t think that one’s gonna be revisited again.”

Ventimiglia played the role of Peter Petrelli, a hospice nurse who can mimic other people’s abilities.

Milo Ventimiglia, who played Peter Petrelli in the NBC superhero series Heroes, which ran from 2006 to 2010, has little hope for a second series revival.

Blood Fest is a horror-comedy from writer/director Owen Egerton. The film treads a well-worn path as three geeky film fans attend a horror convention in the woods, only to find themselves fighting for their lives when actual monsters attack and the 'Blood Fest' truly begins.

It sounds like Once Upon a Time is going out with a happily ever after for most characters.

According to TV Line, Jennifer Morrison, Josh Dallas, Ginnifer Goodwin and Emilie de Ravin will return to the fairytale drama for its two-part series finale.

They join Sean Maguire, Victoria Smurfit, JoAnna Garcia-Swisher, Robbie Kay, Lee Arenberg, Keegan Tracy, Tony Amendola, Jared Gilmore and Beverley Elliot who were previously confirmed to be making comebacks.

The series famously rebooted for Once Upon a Time Season 7, and the action shifted from Storybrooke to Hyperion Heights, and that meant some of the original actors departed.

But the big revamp failed to reverse the show's downward trajectory. On Friday nights, the series has slumped over 40 percent to 2.4 million viewers and a 0.5 rating among adults 18-49.

ABC swung the ax on the series earlier this year after seven seasons.

“Once Upon a Time” is going to grant fans’ greatest wish when it closes the book on its final chapter: the return of series regulars Jennifer Morrison (Emma Swan), Ginnifer Goodwin (Snow White/Mary Margaret), Josh Dallas (Prince Charming/David) and Emilie de Ravin (Belle/Lacey). “Once Upon a Time” ends its run in May with a two-part series finale that will see many favorite characters returning. Set to reprise his role as Robin Hood, suitor to Regina (Lana Parilla) is Sean Maguire. Dare we hope for a happy ending for this ill-fated couple? Also tapped to appear in “Leaving Storybrooke” are JoAnna Garcia-Swisher as Ariel, the Little Mermaid and Victoria Smurfit as Cruella de Vil of “101 Dalmatians” fame.

Owen Egerton's (Follow, 2016) Blood Fest will have its World Premiere, in Austin. The film will be part of the SXSW Film Festival, in Texas. In the film, several friends arrive at a carnival, hosted by an iconic horror showman. But, the show turns from fantasy into reality, with the characters chased by a group of masked killers. The Survivalist Blu-ray...

Rooster Teeth has announced the addition of several cast members to its third feature film, the horror comedy Blood Fest, which the Austin-based production company unveiled earlier this week.

Seychelle Gabriel (The Last Airbender) will play the female lead in the movie, which is about a horror movie festival who’s creator has a diabolical agenda. Also appearing in the film are: Zachary Levi (Chuck), who will play himself in a cameo; Chris Doubek (Boyhood); and newcomer Rebecca Wagner. The lead male role in the film, Robbie Kay (Heroes: Reborn), will play Gabriel’s best friend -- the two of whom are pulled into the adventure of alongside the hapless Jacob Batalon (pictured below), of Spider Man: Homecoming fame.
