- María Seoane was born on January 25, 1948 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She was a writer and director, known for Gelbard: Historia secreta del último burgués nacional (2006), La noche de los lápices (1986) and Eva from Argentina (2011). She died on December 27, 2023 in Argentina.
- Was the director of LRA Radio Nacional from 2009 until her resignation on 21 December 2015.
- Was an OAS consultant, and prepared reports on freedom of expression for the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights.
- Was a professor in the Journalism Master's program of the Chair of Journalistic Research at the University of San Andrés (Buenos Aires), and Columbia University (New York).
